We'll I'm glad to be here to break the tentions of the "Hum-drum" too LS!

I've heard that you guys had some shakes over there on the west coast not too long ago, I hope that everything is OK by you!

Jwhop,

No, I'm not campaigning for a moderator position, nor do I think that this is a Randall-reportable incident. I don't know that I'll ever feel strongly enough (or childish enough) for something like that. From what you've said it sounds like other people have tried that route? Further testament to your character that they would complain, huh?

I was merely explaining to you that it wasn't me who was rude. It was you.

As for admonishing you, everyone admonishes you. I'm just the one doing it this time. It's my turn. I drew the short straw. I don't mind. I'm well suited to it, don't you think?

ahahahaha- nope romper room is still the same!

jwhop- Yes , my freind and his lawyer screwed up royaly in court.. And he realy had no clue what he was doing when deeling with the state trooper that night. His first mistake was actualy agreeing to step out of the car when he didnt yet legaly have to... He was asked if "he minds geting out of the car", not yet told to. I hate it when peaple fall sucker to that one.

Its more then just this one case I would like to see stoped though... ITs all those other suckers out there I want to see the towns and states chill out on. The towns need to find a new way to make theri money then by having a big system of tickets, arrests, fines and court surcharges- wether the peaple caught up in the court can afford it or not. I know peaple going broke, and not able to pay all of thier bills all because of a simple ticket for a cars breaklight being out.

I dont think the courts and justice system are the source to put a stop to all of this. After all what are judges but elected lawyers ? And lawyers seem to love all this because its where they get their money, wether they win or loose a case. Then the very majority of the peaple who make the legislations on local, state, and federal levels are all lawyers.

Unless the very majority of americans started insisting that NO LAWYER may run for federal and otehr offices- why would they care about us ? Why would they change anything ? That would take half or more of the money out of their own industry of extortion. Such changes would almost be career suicide.

I just cant see any changes happening through the legal system here... Only geting worse, and more rediculous as long as peaple here actualy beleive their vote is going to realy change anything without something drastic happening.

A few peaple in public have already tried to drive us into the ground wiht their fists around here when we decide to get boisterous and voice the possabilities of a revolution [useualy just looking to see what their reactions would be],, luckily for us we generaly are able to best them if they try to harm us... I have a nack for turning even the biggest guys strength against him self,, and my freind who is useualy with me has almost masterd Tau kwan doe, and Hat Ke do [however you correctly spell both those].

Was it not chaos during the years before and just after 1776 ? this is the age ruled by Uranus, and there is indeed going to be much chaos world wide like human history has not yet witnessed either way.

Yes others failed,, most sadly the claim of independance for the Confederate states, just over 100 years ago... I dont see that as a reason to give up yet though. After all,,, if at first you dont succeede- well you know the rest of that.

Cant help it,, an atempt for atleast some of america to become its own more liberated nation sepeate from our existing federal government is just what I see to be right and just... And I see this to be the truth just as much as General Lee believed in what he was fighting for... Even if a lost cause... And even after I do move off this shore,, its still what Im gona pray for. Especialy if Im worried about my new nation being forced into supporting america, or stand against america- due to US pollitics and pollicies.

Acoustic you got called on your absurd statements and for posting the radical leftist ideas of others..which define you. Simple as that. Grow up and get over it because this is truth Acoustic. If every person on this site lined up on your side...the side which says the United States is a repressive government which repressed Iraqi citizens and furthermore Americans are repressive because we permitted it, I wouldn't be swayed an inch. You are heavily into the herd mentality which is an inherently weak position to be in.

Your error continues unabated. Now, you equate character with going along with the prevailing view. Go along to get along, eh Acoustic..that defines character? Weak character is the only one which comes to mind but that is the hallmark of leftists.

I don't know what you're well suited for Acoustic but delivering admonitions to me is not one of them. I'm of the opinion that leftists suffer from a form of mental illness.

On another note Acoustic, I'd vote for you for moderator. I want you to stick around until you've gotten all your nutty ideas on the record.

Speaking of China...

Bolton, China Agree to Stop Bid by U.S. Allies for UN Power

Aug. 3 (Bloomberg) -- John Bolton used his first full day as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations to forge a strategy with China aimed at defeating a formula offered by four U.S. allies to expand the Security Council, the Chinese envoy said.

Chinese Ambassador Wang Guangya said he and Bolton decided to coordinate efforts yesterday to block the initiative by Japan, Germany, Brazil and India, during one of Bolton's first meetings in New York with a UN envoy. President George W. Bush used a constitutional power known as a recess appointment to send Bolton, 56, to New York on Aug. 1 after Senate Democrats who called Bolton too brash for the job prevented a vote on his confirmation.

``We agreed to work together to make sure our interests are being maintained,'' Wang told reporters today at the UN. ``That means we have to work in parallel ways to make sure the unity of UN members will not be spoiled by this maneuver.''

The U.S. and China share veto power on the Security Council with the other three countries whose permanent seats date to the UN's founding in 1945: the U.K., Russia and France. The veto holders have final say over any Security Council changes.

The U.S. publicly backed Japan, the world's second biggest economic power, for a permanent seat last month, expressed opposition to India's attempt and has been noncommittal about the prospects of Brazil and Germany. The U.S. has called for one other permanent council member, besides Japan. Russia and France support Germany for a permanent seat.

Lobby `Friends'

Wang said they agreed to lobby ``our different friends in different parts of the world'' to defeat the draft resolution introduced by Brazil, Germany, India and Japan. The Group of Four, as they call themselves, want the Security Council to be expanded to 25 from 15 members as the first in a series of steps leading to their obtaining permanent seats on the panel. They would have no veto power for at least 15 years, according to their proposals.

The U.S. mission to the UN confirmed the Bolton meeting with the Chinese diplomat and wouldn't comment on the specifics of their discussion.

The U.S. on July 12 urged UN member governments to reject the Group of Four's measure, saying improvements in the world body's management and oversight were greater priorities that should be adopted first.

China opposes the resolution mainly because it wants to deny Japan a permanent seat. The Chinese government supports Security Council expansion to add developing countries.

``Tell Mr. Bolton for me that we are unstoppable,'' Indian Ambassador Nirupam Sen said in an interview today. ``We won't be defeated, certainly not by Mr. Wang and Mr. Bolton.''

Aid, Votes

The Group of Four also faces accusations it is attempting to buy votes from poor countries at the UN by plying them with offers of aid or threats to withdraw development money. Italy said last week the countries were engaging in blackmail. Germany and Japan deny they have linked aid with votes.

The African Union and a coalition led by Canada, Italy, Mexico and Pakistan have introduced competing resolutions offering different formulas for expanding the Security Council. No vote has been scheduled on any of the texts.

Bolton, who also met with U.K., French and Algerian diplomats, spent an hour today discussing proposals to improve the UN with General Assembly President Jean Ping of Gabon. Their meeting follow a speech yesterday by U.S. Deputy Ambassador Anne Patterson in which she said the document proposed by Ping for adoption by world leaders who will gather in New York next month to mark the 60th anniversary of the UN creation was unacceptable.

``The document is too long and not worded in a manner that heads of state normally agree to or endorse,'' Patterson said.

Bolton `Listening'

Bolton, answering several questions by reporters after his meeting with Ping, said he hadn't done much talking.

``We had a helpful discussion with the president of the General Assembly,'' Bolton told reporters. ``We are working away on this outcome document. We had a lot of messages, but mostly I was listening. Former Secretary of State George Schultz said listening is vastly underrated as a method of obtaining information. So I was following his advice today.''

Ping told reporters after the meeting that there are ``radical differences'' among UN members on the summit draft, and that Bolton was very familiar with the issues.

``We discussed them as if he was a long-time member of the embassy,'' Ping said.

Hey, that's cool. The one above I just thought was SO ironic. Here we're getting all tense over China, and China's the first country Bolton runs to and cuts a deal with on his first day at the U.N.

hi jwhop

I looove a good conspiracy theory

Just read this book "The Broker" by John Grisham and it is a fictional account of unknown satellites that are somewhere in space where they're not supposed to be.

They are discovered by accident (a fluke) by students.

In the book they (satellites) were sent into space undetected by every country ,camouflaged by LARGE wildfires.

so what do you think?
maybe a longshot

Hi LaLaLinda!

Well, I haven't read the book but the plot sounds like a Joe Biden presidency!

Secret satellites are probably a reality Two dimocrat Senators outed a super secret satellite program recently. Naturally, the press gave them a pass...because it's not fair for America to have any secrets or technology potential enemies don't have!

I like Grisham, thanks for bringing this book up, sounds like it's worth a read.

lotusheartone, I don't know what you're talking about. I've seen threads closed...because of contentious themes or comments and some members have been banned for reasons which were obvious but I've never seen individual posts deleted or edited by Randall or anyone other than the original author.

What are you talking about?
