Well, I'm coming into this debate a bit late, however, just seems to me that expressing ones displeasure with the idea that Muslims are violent (which is what the cartoons were expressing) by engaging in rioting, arson, mob savagery, flag-burning, and murder (among other peaceful acts of nonviolence) is a bit counterproductive...

LibraSparkle – First of all, I would like to thank you for responding to my e-mail regarding not being able to find this topic again. GU is a one of the more sensitive forums of lindaland. I myself have often left somewhat unchartered.

Isis – I agree on being counterproductive to the purpose/situation at hand.

I think any organization without a plan – is one that allows itself to blow in the wind. No focus equals any action. Highly unlikely to come out on the positive end of the consequences, when they expect it to much less if they even expect it to. I don’t believe that their reactions have been backed with a solid enough plan to which further separation and more blowing in the wind will increase negative behavior…………… What is positive is the interest.

I have to respect any group that is willing to stick together for their protection and growth. However, it irks me to commence a movement to which there is no plan but to only lash out on what does not serve them. That goes for any organization – religious, political, etc.

Again, I do reiterate the cartoonist responsibility in this matter – to which I would have liked to have heard, seen, or read comments from said cartoonist on his work of art and how it has been received.

It seems to any situation – there is always a pinky and always a brain.

p.s. there is something true to the saying - how you get it, is how you keep it.

I look forward to further conversation.......

Hiya Pid!

No, haven't made it to NZ yet, that's still in the works. I'm still here in the US. How's life in the great American SW? Drop me an email and we can chat somewhere where the communists won't revile us.

Heya Isis....

LOL.... they will revile us any way ... I need your e-mail address (I'll keep it up for about a day and then remove it from this post... so weirdos don't get a hold of it.

Things have been great down here (especially once I got rid of the ex and now that I am once again employed with the county )

Drop me a line.. it's good to know things are going well.

It's been a while since I've combed through posts here, but..although somewhat left leaning, from what I do remember of your posts in GU, I wouldn't consider you a commie

And tyvm, you're swell too (How can you not be, if I remember correctly our charts are very similar) LOL
