i never condone the names VL calls people. never. i do however think she speaks in a colloquial way that many people don't 'get'. a lot of what she says is reprehensible and unacceptable, but i don't think it has as much malicious intent as what others say without using the same kinds of blunt terms. to repeat however, i never approve of her name-calling.

i disapprove of it in much the same way i disapprove of the way you address some people when you disagree with them. i feel that your words contain as much malice as some of the things VL says, even if you don't express them in the vulgar terms that she does. other people make apologies for your 'style' of communication as well. and i've learned to be more accepting of it too, over time. i love your spirit and your conviction.

if you've read my post about ann coulter, you might better understand my meaning here. i'm not sure if i'm being that clear, but what i expressed about her is similar. i despise the things she says. i think the damage they cause is much worse than the way some people insult each other here. but i still appreciate her spirit and 'rebel' factor. same way i appreciate you. same way i appreciate the dry humor i see in some of VL's commentary.

having said all that, i will say that regardless of what anyone says, no matter how revolting, no one ever deserves to be spoken to as Rainbow spoke to you in the KS thread. i can't even bring myself to repeat the comment. i am so sorry you had to read that. that is an inappropriate thing to say to anyone for any reason, and i apologize. not on rainbow's behalf. on my own. i never think personal details should be used against a person. that was a most misogynistic utterance, and saddening to hear coming from another woman.

i don't condone racist or sexist comments of any kind. i regret that such things are so embedded in our culture, that many people don't even perceive them.

i applaud your conviction and outspokenness in these subjects. your forthright manner and indomitable spirit are admirable in this context.

I understand where you are coming from but in regards to Rainbow- there is a long history between she and I.

I could go through the posts and paste some of the real winners she has called me- she is extremely nasty and hides behind her "love and light" routine. I have tried to make "nice" with her, only to have her come out with a derogatory name for me that makes calling her a hag look like a compliment.

She also enjoys doing certain offensive things but pretending she was just quoting someone or didn't mean it in that way. I am more appalled at someone taking a picture of Christ and superimposing Bush's head on it than her referring to my vagina as a gash that must have had a ton of practice because I was with a guy that had a nickname that was a joke. See.... so before you can chastize me - you need to know the fact (but you are only seeing a glimpse and can only comment on what you see).

The difference between Rainbow and I, is that she will copy and paste specfic sentences from a post and save it. Then she goes back and edits her posts (the foul terms she has used towards me) and all evidence is gone. I could copy, paste and save as well.. but why? To me that is just stupid.

She will bring out one of my posts, that has been cut down by her for more impact and then she says 'See... see what you did"

If I respond, she calls me psycho. LOL.. The term gash is another one that she coined by repeating what someone else said. It is an EXTREMELY offensive term that is equal to calling someone a "cu*t". She feels she is allowed to use those words, but if someone else does... well, then she is free to attack.

It can't be both ways.

Even with VL I held off calling names until I finally had enough. I am human and I am going cut people down once in a while- sometimes I edit my posts to take it out when I have gone to far, but not with certain people and not anymore. There is a group of 5-7 people here that will ALWAYS take another's side JUST to be against me. It's laughable.

i didn't mean that to be a critique of you Pidaua...

i was trying to explain how i can find interesting and positive things in people, who at the same time exhibit negativity.

it happens all the time, with everyone. and i wasn't criticizing your dynamic with any specific people.

we all are different, and how boring it would be if it were otherwise, as you often say.

i meant to illustrate, more than anything, that i don't condone the vulgar insults, not when they're made against anyone, regardless. i tried to say that i appreciate very much your attitude in this respect.

I see what you mean. You have a good soul and I know that you are a kind person. You've been very consistent in that and how you address people. That is an admirable trait.

Sometimes people will fall into the gutter when it comes to words. I have done that on occassion. I do try to stay away from the biggies, but I am human. Race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.. I try to NEVER reference in a derogatory context.

There have been times when I wanted to call someone something based on their "easy" lifestyle - but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Sure, I wanted to tell someone how ugly they are based on their photo's but who am I to judge beauty? However, I have said some disparaging things to VL about her looks- yet not outright picking on features. Still, those kinds of comments, when they come from me- make me feel sick.

Some of the comments I made to you were uncalled for that day.

Rainbow's sinking to the "derogatory use of female words" against me didn't bother me as much as it become one of those "ick.. did she really say that? Does she realize how that looks as far as regarding women?"

I compared it to someone falling into the use of a racial epithat on someone they feel is being ignorant. That would be no more tolerated than what the others are - although- it depends on who says them.

In any case - no I am not innocent. I have had my share of battles and said a more than a few hurtful things.
