So, who's keeping this ball in the air?Petron hadn't said a word about KS since June 25th.
salome hadn't said a word about KS since June 25th.
Lotus hadn't said a word about KS since June 25th.
Pid hasn't said anything since before June 25th.
I hadn't said anything since before June 25th.
Eleanore hadn't said anything since at least June 25th.
TINK hadn't said anything since I don't know when. In fact nothing at all had been said on any of the KS threads since June 25th............
until WaterNymph started a new KS thread on June 30th...yesterday and started the whole justification and denial routine all over again. So, if y'all from KS wanted this to drop off the radar, why did you start it up again and everyone from KS join in. lalalinda was basically told everything that needed to be said had been said...in other words shut the hell up about it and if it had remained off the radar, I doubt lalalinda would have reopened the subject at all. So, it seems there are some people who won't take yes for an answer. BTW, there's nothing egregious about the Klan picture Petron posted. In fact, there's a truth in that picture. It's the picture of people hiding...not behind or under white robes and masks but on another site and in one case at least talking about a lynching...verbal lynching of TINK, by Magus. But no one from KS seems to know anything about that and the suggestion was made that Petron made it all up. It has also been suggested, rather sarcastically I might add, that Petron just happened to stumble on the one post on the entire KS site which showed the site off at it's worst...in other words, Petron must be lying about how long he was on the site looking around...and that was ALL he could find. Let's get it straight, if there's a bad guy or guys in this sorry mess, it's not Petron, it's not Pid who stumbled onto the KS site, it's not TINK, it's not lalalinda, it's not salome, it's not Eleanore, it's not lotus and I'm damned if I'm going to take any responsibility for people from KS associating together, talking about people here behind their backs, qualifying people here to see if they're OUR type or making depraved comments about a member here.

Anyone with a could see the KKK picture, or rather the displaying of it, is cruel, disgusting and offensive....If people are content to sit back and allow this kind of behaviour, then that in itself, speaks volumes....as far as I can see only a couple have spoken out.....does this mean the majority support the sentiment around this image, or are you too weak and timid to speak out? If the poster apologises for his foolish behaviour, then fair enough....as I and others have had the balls to do after we were challenged.... I would be very interested to see a show of hands.... Who finds this image acceptable and who does not? And before my words get turned around, NO I DO NOT FIND THE WAY TINK WAS SPOKEN TO ACCEPTABLE..... And would be very happy not to see it displayed here again.

I resent your efforts at censorship Sue. It's a picture. I would find a picture of dead babies offensive, but I wouldn't insist that YOU all conform to MY definition of offensive by removing the material. I would just not look at the pictures. Jews probably find pictures of the holocaust offensive. I guess we should also never post holocaust pictures, right? I mean, what we all really need to do is hide the truth of the past from our delicate pampered eyes so that we can forget and be doomed to repeat it, right? I really can't stand when someone feels they have the right to impose their sensibilities on others. Pictures like that are visual representations of history. I'm sorry you find it offensive, but in my opinion you have no right to demand censorship for things you personally find distubing. And that is why, while I think Magus might do well with a steady prescription of Thorazine, I don't demand that his words, which I personally found to be extremely offensive, be removed. Ugliness should not be hidden away. That's more dangerous than the ugliness itself, whatever that ugliness may be. IMO, of course. IP: Logged |

And then I give up....Whats the point..... Petron is obviously getting off on this to post the pic twice Its disgusting all of this.....and my opinion hasnt been swayed in the least.... Sick Cruel and fuelled by hate and bigotry... UUUUGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!! And yes Isis, I can understand why you objected to me doing this, why wouldnt you or others...... But I am speaking out for a group of people who were tortured.....of course we shouldnt forget.. But the point you are missing is he used it to make a comparison to people who are not racist or in the least similar in their views to the KKK... Pixie is right.....GU is a horrible place, full of people who use this space to vent their anger, frustrations and bigotry when they could be using it for positive things....such as....... LOVE.... Yes Sue, he does it to get a rise out of people. My mom used to tell me when my older brother would antagonzie me, "he just does it to get a rise out of you. I know Isis....I am married to one....A Virgo I mean...for 17years.... Never did get used to his strange humour... But he isnt THIS cruel,,,he isnt racist or homophobic or anything like this....his humour is clever, irritating, but clever, and he wouldnt stoop this low, cos if he did I would kick him in the nuts..... You still didnt answer my statement tho about the comparison....do you think that is acceptable Isis?

Well, I can't speak for Petron's intentions, but the way I interpreted it was that he was making a connection between the two groups hiding their true nature / beliefs. I personally find it to be an overly dramatic analogy, but Petron often uses pictures to illustrate his opinions in a dramatic and antagonistic fashion, in GU anyway. IP: Logged |

I guess I've just learned to ignore Petron's pics for the most part. And I still think that we shouldn't censor content based on people's personal sensibilities. I find most of the pictures he posts to be inane and/or irrelevant. I don't know that I'd categorize any as being so offensive they needed to be removed. Oh so that makes it okay, does it......It appears to me that people are scared to speak out in case they dont "fit in".....I would speak out if someone was hurting another....I did it for Lotus even tho I dont get on with her...and have done it for others.....for you and for Pix. I have said a friend of mine was unacceptable in the way he spoke to a woman and have told him that more than once. This is such a lame excuse Isis.... And you know girl its not okay to use images like this...I thought you more sensitive than this.... So whats next pics of the holocaust....and I DONT mean "lest we should forget"...we should never forget. I mean to compare a group of people who are not in the least comparable to torturers, racists and bigots. This is bu**sh1t!!!

It's just his opinion. I'm sorry, but I believe he has a right to post those pictures and Randall can make the decision whether he feels it violates any of the site's rules. If I found it offensive, I would email Randall and tell him so. I personally would not come here demanding it be removedin the name of the victims ("But I am speaking out for a group of people who were tortured"). Maybe just a difference in how we react to the situation.

You guys obviously dont want tho....thats for sure...I do.... And whatever you think in yer :hearts: or say...... This isnt right, or in anyway healing the resentment, hurt or disappointment....its stil a fire being stoked and its freak show mentallity does nothing to show me that people want to unite.....they dont....they wanna get off on it...maybe cos of boredom, or whatever... I wanted to help, thats all and bring clarity...not to score points or be cruel.. I didnt wanna get involved in all this...but I had to cos I was a part of the KS group...I know the truth and now I feel like I cant help with this anymore.... Its beyond me...... I don't take offense to the picture to the same degree as you do, obviously. What can I tell you? I guess our definitions of what makes one sensitive differ. I can see what you are saying,,,,,but sometimes it just isnt appropriate to turn the other cheek..As you will see I dont have any communication with LH1 at all....no point. But I do stay hopeful with others,,,,,at this stage tho I am probably wrong in my optimism. Thanks Isis, but as I said before, sometimes we have to speak out, for the underdog, I always did, always will. I know you are trying to help.
