America the Tyranny

The Road to Authoritarianism

By Manuel Valenzuela

10/03/06 "Information Clearing House" -- -- Behold and bear witness to what has become of America, in this era of uncertainty and bewilderment, in this time of fear and intimidation, that since towers were brought down and demolished has methodically fallen into the viper pit of neocon decadence, becoming, as it stands today, an authoritarian’s heaven and a corporatist’s promised land, its people ignorant, as always, to the barrage of waves systemically eroding centuries of rights, freedoms and liberties. From sea to shining sea, despotism is what today those who pay attention see.

The road to fascism is being paved at a clandestine yet alarming velocity, across valleys, prairies and forests, surrounding cites, towns and states, from Atlantic to Pacific, immersing 300 million individuals into a fog of engendered tyranny, who without a care or whisper or concern remain trapped by comfortable surroundings born through perpetual indebtedness. Even as their rights and freedoms and liberties are made to disappear, even as their Constitution is burned, even as their nation hangs on the precipice of despotism, even as their collective destiny is being destroyed those residing inside the belly of the beast hear no evil, see no evil and feel no evil, preferring to gossip about pedophile politicians and celebrity failings than informing themselves to the last throes of the American republic.

The waves of autocracy are upon the shores of America, the demons of the past find themselves resurrected once again, free to unleash fear, intimidation and enslavement onto hundreds of millions of human beings. The high tide of tyranny has returned from the unlearned lessons of history, again engulfing humankind with human wickedness and Machiavellian rule, soon to subjugate the masses in the slavery endemic throughout man’s brief – yet thoroughly destructive – reign over Earth.

Authoritarianism has woken from its dormant slumber, ready to terrorize yet one more human generation, for while it meticulously rises and stretches out its arms, ready to spread its omnipotent disease, it has lived and thrived since the dawn of man, accompanying humankind wherever we might go, since man alone creates and grants it life. Indeed, it is those who have seen it rise before that today see it birthed again. Its symptoms are apparent, its dangers known; the stages of tyranny are remembered, for they are never forgotten. It is those who have been witness to and victims of its malevolence that see the approaching storm clearest; it is they whose experienced eyes and mature minds that are sounding alarms. Fascism, under the guise of protection, freedom and security, is upon us.

To those paying attention, the evolution of the coming tyranny has been apparent since 9/11, when the Twin Towers, America’s Reichstag Fire, were pulverized into nothingness by demolition explosives, in a declaration of psychological war upon the American people. On 9/11 the Earth stood still, as if the collective consciousness of the world awoke to a most ominous catastrophic and catalyzing event that would send the world entire down a vicious circle of death, destruction and despotism. On that day, the future course of human civilization was altered, spawning the birth pangs of authoritarianism rising, freedom dying, and of perpetual warfare breathing its devastating repercussions onto the realities of six billion human beings.

Almost immediately after those in power had imploded and brought down the World Trade Center towers upon their own footprints the initial stages of imposing authoritarianism upon the people were implemented, beginning first with a Patriot Act whose sheer volume and length betray its existence pre-dating 9/11. Brought out of the fascist closet and dusted, it was rushed through the Congress even as the Twin Towers still smoldered and, for good measure, in the terrifying wake of the still unsolved anthrax attacks that served both to threaten legislators into compliance and scaring the populace even further into obedience. The assault on the lives of Americans had begun and, out of the bowels of our collective fear, despotism once more breathed life.

*this is possibly the saddest*

FATAL VISION - THE DEEPER EVIL BEHIND THE DETAINEE BILL

By Chris Floyd
10-3-6

"There is no week nor day nor hour when tyranny may not enter upon this country - if the people lose their confidence in themselves - and lose their roughness and spirit of defiance." - Walt Whitman

It was a DARK HOUR indeed on Thursday.....when the United States Senate voted to end the Constitutional Republic and transform the country into a "Leader-State," giving the president and his agents the power to capture, torture and imprison forever anyone - American citizens included - whom they arbitrarily decide is an "enemy combatant."

This also includes those who merely give "terrorism" some kind of "support," defined so vaguely that many experts say it could encompass legal advice, innocent gifts to charities or even political opposition to US government policy within its draconian strictures.

All of this is bad enough - a sickening and cowardly surrender of liberty not seen in a major Western democracy since the Enabling Act passed by the German Reichstag in March 1933.

But it is by no means the FULL EXTENT of our degradation!

In reality, the darkness is deeper, and more foul, than most people imagine!

For in addition to the dictatorial powers of seizure and torment given by Congress on Thursday to George W. Bush - powers he had already seized and exercised for five years anyway, even without this fig leaf of sham legality - there is a far more sinister imperial right that Bush has claimed - and used - openly, without any demur or debate from Congress at all:

ORDERING THE "EXTRAJUDICIAL KILLING" OF ANYONE ON EARTH THAT HE AND HIS DEPUTIES DECIDE - ARBITARILY, WITHOUT CHARGES, COURT HEARING, FORMAL EVIDENCE, OR APPEAL - IS AN "ENEMY COMBATANT!"

That's right!

from the earliest days of the Terror War - September 17, 2001, to be exact - Bush has claimed the peremptory power of life and death over the entire world.

If he says you're an enemy of America, you are!

If he wants to imprison you and torture you, he can!

And if he decides you should die, he'll kill you!

This is not hyperbole, liberal paranoia, or "conspiracy theory":

it's simply a fact, reported by the mainstream media, attested by senior administration figures, recorded in official government documents - and boasted about by the president himself, in front of Congress and a national television audience.

And although the "Republic snuffing act" just passed by Congress does not directly address Bush's royal prerogative of murder, it nonetheless strengthens it and enshrines it in law.

For the measure sets forth clearly that the designation of an "enemy combatant" is left solely to the executive branch; neither Congress nor the courts have ANY say in the matter!

When this new law is coupled with the existing "Executive Orders" authorizing "lethal force" against arbitrarily designated "enemy combatants," it becomes, quite literally, a license to kill -

with the seal of Congressional approval.

How arbitrary is this process by which all our lives and liberties are now governed?

Dave Niewert at Orcinus has unearthed a remarkable admission of its totally capricious nature.

In a December 2002 story in the Washington Post, then-Solicitor General Ted Olson described the anarchy at the heart of the process with admirable frankness:
"[There is no] requirement that the executive branch spell out its criteria for determining who qualifies as an enemy combatant," Olson argues.

"'There won't be 10 rules that trigger this or 10 rules that end this,' Olson said in the interview.

'There will be judgments and instincts and evaluations and implementations that have to be made by the executive that are probably going to be different from day to day, depending on the circumstances.'"

In other words, what is safe to do or say today might imperil your freedom or your life tomorrow.

You can never know if you are on the right side of the law, because the "law" is merely the whim of the Leader and his minions:

their "instincts" determine your guilt or innocence, and these flutterings in the gut can change from day to day.

This radical uncertainty is the very essence of despotism - and it is now, formally and officially, the guiding principle of the United States government.

And underlying this edifice of tyranny is the prerogative of presidential murder.

Perhaps the enormity of this monstrous perversion of law and morality has kept it from being fully comprehended.

It sounds unbelievable to most people: a president ordering hits like a Mafia don?

But that is our reality, and has been for five years.

To overcome what seems to be a widespread cognitive dissonance over this concept, we need only examine the record - a record, by the way, taken entirely from publicly available sources in the mass media.

There's nothing secret or contentious about it, nothing that any ordinary citizen could not know - if they choose to know it.

Six days after the 9/11 attacks, George W. Bush signed a "presidential finding" authorizing the CIA to kill those individuals whom he had marked for death as terrorists.

This in itself was not an entirely radical innovation; Bill Clinton's White House legal team had drawn up memos asserting the president's right to issue "an order to kill an individual enemy of the United States in self-defense," despite the legal prohibitions against assassination, the Washington Post reported in October 2001.

The Clinton team based this ruling on the "inherent powers" of the "Commander in Chief" - that mythical, ever-elastic construct that Bush has evoked over and over to defend his own unconstitutional usurpations.

The practice of "targeted killing" was apparently never used by Clinton, however; despite the pro-assassination memos, Clinton followed the traditional presidential practice of bombing the hell out of a bunch of civilians whenever he wanted to lash out at some recalcitrant leader or international outlaw - as in his bombing of the Sudanese pharmaceutical factory in 1998, or the two massive strikes he launched against Iraq in 1993 and 1998, or indeed the death and ruin that was deliberately inflicted on civilian infrastructure in Serbia during that nation's collective punishment for the crimes of Slobodan Milosevic.

Here, Clinton was following the example set by George H.W. Bush, who killed hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Panamanian civilians in his illegal arrest of Manuel Noriega in 1988, and Ronald Reagan, who killed Moamar Gadafy's adopted 2-year-old daughter and 100 other civilians in a punitive strike on Libya in 1986.

Junior Bush, of course, was about to outdo all those blunderbuss strokes with his massive air attacks on Afghanistan, which killed thousands of civilians, and the later orgy of death and destruction in Iraq!

But he also wanted the power to kill individuals at will.

At first, the assassination program was restricted to direct orders from the president aimed at specific targets, as suggested by the Clinton memos.

But soon the arbitrary power of life and death was delegated to agents in the field, after Bush signed orders allowing CIA assassins to kill targets without seeking presidential approval for each attack, the Washington Post reported in December 2002.

Nor was it necessary any longer for the president to approve each new name added to the target list; the "security organs" could designate "enemy combatants" and kill them as they saw fit.

However, Bush was always keen to get the details about the agency's network, administration officials assured the Post.

The first officially confirmed use of this power was the killing of an American citizen, along with several foreign nationals, by a CIA drone missile in Yemen on November 3, 2002.

A similar strike occurred on December 4, 2005, when a CIA missile destroyed a house and purportedly killed Abu Hamza Rabia, a suspected al-Qaeda figure.

But the only bodies found at the site were those of two children, the houseowner's son and nephew, Reuters reports.

The grieving father denied any connection to terrorism.

An earlier CIA strike on another house missed Rabia but killed his wife and children, Pakistani officials reported.

However, there is simply no way of knowing at this point how many people have been killed by American agents operating outside all judicial process.

Most of the assassinations are carried out in secret: quietly, professionally.

As a Pentagon document uncovered by the New Yorker in December 2002 revealed, the death squads must be "small and agile," and "able to operate clandestinely, using a full range of official and non-official cover arrangements to ... enter countries surreptitiously."

What's more, there are strong indications that the Bush administration has outsourced some of the contracts to outside operators.

In the original Post story about the assassinations - in those first heady weeks after 9/11, when administration officials were much more open about "going to the dark side," as Cheney boasted on national television - Bush insiders told the paper that "it is also possible that the instrument of targeted killings will be foreign agents, the CIA's term for nonemployees who act on its behalf.

Here we find a deadly echo of the "rendition" program that has sent so many captives to torture pits in Syria, Egypt and elsewhere - including many whose innocence has been officially established, such as the Canadian businessman Maher Arar, German national Khalid El-Masri, UK native Mozzam Begg and many others.

They had been subjected to imprisonment and torture despite their innocence, because of intelligence "mistakes."

How many have fallen victim to Bush's hit squads on similar shaky grounds?

So here we are.

Congress has just entrenched the principle of Bush's "unitary executive" dictatorship into law; and it is this principle that undergirds the assassination program.

As I wrote in December, it's hard to believe that any genuine democracy would accept a claim by its leader that he could have anyone killed simply by labeling them an "enemy."

It's hard to believe that any adult with even the slightest knowledge of history or human nature could countenance such unlimited, arbitrary power, knowing the evil it is bound to produce.

Yet this is exactly what the great and good in America have done.

But this should come as no surprise.

They have known about it all along, and have not only countenanced Bush's death squad, but even celebrated it.

I'll end with one more passage from that December article, which sadly is even more apt for our degraded reality today.

It was a depiction of one of the most revolting scenes in recent American history: Bush's state of the Union address in January 2003, delivered live to the nation during the final warmongering frenzy before the rape of Iraq:

Trumpeting his successes in the Terror War, Bush claimed that "more than 3,000 suspected terrorists" had been arrested worldwide - "and many others have met a different fate."

His face then took on the characteristic leer, the strange, sickly half-smile it acquires whenever he speaks of killing people:

"Let's put it this way. They are no longer a problem."

In other words, the suspects - and even Bush acknowledged they were only suspects - had been murdered.

Lynched.

Killed by agents operating unsupervised in that shadow world where intelligence, terrorism, politics, finance and organized crime meld together in one amorphous, impenetrable mass.

Killed on the word of a dubious informer, perhaps: a tortured captive willing to say anything to end his torment, a business rival, a personal foe, a bureaucrat looking to impress his superiors, a paid snitch in need of cash, a zealous crank pursuing ethnic, tribal or religious hatreds - or any other purveyor of the garbage data that is coin of the realm in the shadow world.

Bush proudly held up this hideous system as an example of what he called "the meaning of American justice."

And the assembled legislators ... applauded.

Oh how they applauded!

They roared with glee at the leering little man's bloodthirsty, B-movie machismo.

They shared his sneering contempt for law - our only shield, however imperfect, against the blind, brute, ignorant, ape-like force of raw power.

Not a single voice among them was raised in protest against this tyrannical machtopolitik: not that night, not the next day, not ever.

And now, in September 2006, we know they will NEVER raise that protest!

Oh, a few Democrats stood up at the last minute on Thursday to posture nobly about the dangers of the detainee bill - but only when they knew the it was certain to pass, when they had already given up their one weapon against it, the filibuster, in exchange for permission from their Republican masters to offer amendments that they also knew would fail.

Had they been offering such speeches since October 2001, when the lineaments of Bush's presidential tyranny were already clear - or at any other point during the systematic dismantling of America's liberties over the past five years - these fine words might have had some effect.

Now the killing will go on.

The tyranny that has entered upon the country will grow stronger, more brazen;
THE DARKNESS WILL DEEPEN!!!

Whitman, thou should'st be living at this hour; America has need of thee.

Well anyone is entitled to an opionion which is what the article is. It is an interpretation of a law based on total bias against this Country and keeping it safe. In other words, the author uses his imagination to filter the law into something nefarious when it is not.

I gambled!

I DARED to post a pic of bush and hitler together to point out the similiarities!

I realize I took a chance!

As I did it, I crossed myself (the old Catholic bringing up in me, still holds to safety measures like signing the cross).......

I smudged myself with sage.....(the Indian blood in my veins, still holds to certain traditions, for protection)....

I trust I will be safe - THIS time!

However, you will NOT see me being so careless in the future because there is a genuine fear that in future His Highness will deem that I be a "traitor"...and were that to happpen only god knows, what horrors wil befall me!

There is a real need to fear!

I send this as a warning to any other knowflakes who may feel they still have the freedom to express their opinions regarding how crooked they feel our government is being run....

you could be in mortal danger for doing something like posting a picture, which seemed so harmless only a short while ago....

May God bless us, as we unite in prayer to get our great country back on track!!!!!

I'm going to try this again, because something is wacky with the Internet.

Ummm... I was only talking about one man's interpretion of the law and how his bias has played into it. I also acknowledged that he has the right to that opinion.

As to the picture- that is on your conscious, not mine. I didn't even judge it or comment on it.

**** Edit to add.. Whew.. you meant you thought some kind of secret society would DEEM YOU a terrorist LMAO.. because of that post? Ummm.. you posted it over several days on another site, why would he get you now...all of a sudden?

I don't think Bush or anyone else is worried about anyone here.... LMAO..

But that is MY opinion. :P

Pid, I was making that last post before I ever saw your response, so was not addressing YOU at all, but instead expressing an added opinion about my being careless enough to post a pic like that of bush.

So THIS post is the FIRST time I have addressed you!

.....and so while I'm at it.....I just want to explain to you that posting that picture is NOT on my conscience... (duh! don't you EVER get it?)

My conscience could give a damn less about posting that picture (see how mixed up you get?)

My concern about the picture was that his holiness your emporer now has the right to deem me a traitor for such actions should he so choose....

That's all...

Ummm..... and I addressed that with my above edit.. LOL..

George Bush is not a King or Emperor. Once again you have blown something out of proportion. I must also remind you that although your pics are offensive and immature I doubt you post a danger on any level to anyone let alone our President.

Should the NSA or Homeland security review this site or any other site you may pose on, I would think they would laugh at your theories, cringe at your immaturity(not that any of us are above that - because we can ALL be juvenile), but not be troubled in the least that you pose any threat whatsoever.

As to your pics being on the level of traitor? I am sure that you would love to believe the pics are somehow worthy enough (most what we post here is NOT) to be considered a threat, but in my opinion you are WAY harmless.

Now Petron - that is another story......

Pid asks....

why would he get you now...all of a sudden?

Because NOW he can....

Because of that Detainee Bill, he could very easily name me (or anyone else who posts what he considers negative pictures of him) or posts ANYTHING negative about him, an "enemy combatant."

...and as far as him being concerned about anyone here...you're probably right....we're actually pretty 'small potatoes"....but that's not to say that we'll be allowed to continue here with our former feedoms of speech.....

IT'S GONE NOW!

There is a very REAL DANGER NOW!

Rainbow,

Please don't take my joke as an insult. Seriously, I doubt anything we say is going to get us popped for being traitors. Hell, Bear and I laugh at our discussions all the time and there is a much bigger probability he and I are being listened to because he is out of country and due to his position. LOL.

Then again, I hope the NSA likes hearing about my bed-time sleepwear LOL...

Presumably, all those who hold these views, those who are constantly attacking the United States and the President with lying rhetoric...are doing so from the safety of their prison cells.

You know, they must be in prison....because, they say Bush has established a police state.

Whenever I see or hear a brain dead leftist expounding on the horror of America...the police state...the oppressor of our own people...the denier of our civil rights, I think either they must be doing so from a prison cell...or else they're just insane.

As I examine their lying rhetoric, I'm reminded of the old joke:

Who are you going to believe...me, or your lying eyes?

Given those choices, you don't stand a snowballs chance in hell of being believed.

Thank God, that those prison cells are not here yet.....but they are in the works....

Concentration camps for all us "naughty little dissidents" are being built by Haliburton as we speak...

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Edited to add the info about the coming camps......

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Gulags For American Citizens In Final Planning Stages

Halliburton sex slave trade criminals prepare camps for political dissidents

Bush administration and US army preparations to target American citizens and intern them in forced labor camps has vastly accelerated in the past month and commentators from all over the political spectrum are sounding the alarm bells that the round-ups may begin soon!

Once the bane of the media's stereotypical 'tin foil hat wearing' caricatures, concentration camps in America are now serious news and no one is laughing.

Following the news first given wide attention by this website, that Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root had been awarded a $385 million dollar contract by Homeland Security to construct detention and processing facilities in the event of a national emergency, the Alternet website put together an alarming report that collated all the latest information on plans to initiate internment of political subversives and Muslims after the next major terror attack in the US.

The article highlighted the disturbing comments of Sen. Lindsey Graham, who encouraged torture supporting Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to target, "Fifth Columnists" Americans who show disloyalty and sympathize with "the enemy," whoever that enemy may be.

It is important to stress that the historical precedent mirrors exactly what the Halliburton camp deal outlines.

Oliver North's Reagan era Rex 84 plan proposed rounding up 400,000 refugees, under FEMA, in the event of "uncontrolled population movements" over the Mexican border into the United States.

The real agenda, just as it is with Halliburton's gulags, was to use the cover of rounding up immigrants and illegal aliens as a smokescreen for targeting political dissidents.

From 1967 to 1971 the FBI kept a list of persons to be rounded up as subversive, dubbed the "ADEX" list.

The current terrorist suspect list was recently revealed to contain the names of 325,000 people.

The government claimed that only a tiny fraction were American citizens living in America but when compared to the potential terrorist list in the UK, which under section 44 of the terrorism act has ensnared at least 119,000 people, most of them innocent protesters, the number is likely to be far higher.

Britain's population is only 60 million compared to the US at 295 million.

Halliburton, through their KBR subsidiary, is the same company that built most of the major new detention camps in Iraq and Afghanistan.

KBR have been embroiled in a human sex slave trade that their representatives have lobbied to continue.

We have a company that has been handed a contract to build prison camps in America that is engaged in trafficking young girls and women.

Can this horror movie get any more frightening?

A much discussed and circulated report, the Pentagon's Civilian Inmate Labor Program, has recently been updated and the revision details a "template for developing agreements" between the Army and corrections facilities for the use of civilian inmate labor on Army installations."

Muslims at first and then extend the policy to include 'Fifth Columnists,' otherwise known as ANYONE who disagrees with the government or exercises their Constitutional rights.

Respected author Peter Dale Scott speculated that the "detention centers could be used to detain American citizens if the Bush administration were to declare martial law."

Daniel Ellsberg, former Special Assistant to Assistant Secretary of Defense, called the plan, "preparation for a roundup after the next 9/11 for Mid-Easterners, Muslims and possibly dissenters.

They've already done this on a smaller scale, with the 'special registration' detentions of immigrant men from Muslim countries, and with Guantanamo."

George Bush has declared himself to be dictator and to have supreme power over and above the limitations of the US Constitution.

Bush administration officials like Alberto Gonzales have declared Bush to be "above the law."

White House advisors are openly discussing the legality of crushing a child's testicles as part of the war on terror.

Preparation for the internment of thousands of Americans who are 'disloyal' in times of emergency are afoot.

The next step is clearer than it has ever been.

One more large scale staged terror attack in America and the result will be martial law!

When even famous singers like Morrissey are being detained and questioned by the secret service for "speaking out against the American and British governments," we know we are in a lot of trouble.

Right Rainbow.

Have you heard..write this down Rainbow...Bush caused the Irish Potato Famine and the fall of the Great Wall of China? Not only that Rainbow but Bush environmental policies were responsible for Noah's Flood.

Oh, and I wouldn't want to forget to inform you that the shape shifting space alien friends of Bush have nudged an asteroid out of it's orbit. They're keeping the date of impact with earth a secret but when you see Haliburton loading the spaceships for the journey to the secret moon base they built you'll know the time is near.

jwhop, your words are very intense in your posts, you should calm down and let everyone have an opinion. And instances like these is why we can't have world tolerance. Not blaming you. But I just feel like pulling my hair out when all of you just bicker and bicker back in forth without getting any reasoning accomplished. Maybe its just me, i just like things to be fair, i hate war, and thats why i've dedicated my time to the psychology of terrorism, war, policitcs, and why people do what they do.

Really Neptune5? Do you believe posting pictures of Bush in a Satan suit, dressed as Hitler, calling Bush a conspirator in the 9/11 attacks and any number of other outrages IS conducive to reasonable discussion?

Sorry, I don't.

**Edit**

Neither do I consider your post alleging a fascist dictatorship in America...conducive to reasonable or reasoned discussion

Thank you, but truthfully you really do put too much of your time into this. Do we have a day job? Let's get real, you can't change law.

You can't change law eh Neptune5. If that's true then why the hell does the US Constitution confer the authority to make law...on Congress?

Is it true that "ignorance is bliss"?

Neptune,

I must take issues with something that you said regarding the comment you made to jwhop regarding him having "too much time".

You are entitled to your opinion but in time you will learn that your opinion will warrant comments and in various cases, specifically those posed by the right, facts to back up our comments / refuting your allegations.

Jwhop is a highly intelligent and organized man. He has information at his finger tips and in his brain than most people. To me, he comes across as someone that sees something and instantly remembers how to track the information down as soon as he needs it.

It is a common cop-out here, especially with the rabid leftests, that we "conservatives" spend to much time hunting down facts and exposing the lies people post on this forum. Maybe it takes those very same people hours to track down a factoid, but for some of it is easy and not time consuming.

People that use the internet or other research sources in their positions or in the past have it much easier when it comes to mastering the question on a search engine and compiling the proper statistics or laws.

Starting a thread and then using a smart $$ remark to try and "one up" someone only makes a person look immature. If you don't want to back up your facts maybe just say nothing or make a comment along those lines that you don't want to do the research beause either you don't know how or it is too time consuming for YOU.

I have posted the link to the exact law that others are bashing on as well as summaries from that law that actually explain what an constitutes as an enemy combatant (lawful and unflawful). Other's would have us believe that posting an altered cartoon or allegations about Bush is enough to have the NSA come take them away. That is complete and utter bullpoop. If that were the case, as jwhop stated, they would be posting to us from area OTHER than their paradise by the lake or outerspace.

LOL....

Hi again, Neptune....

I don't know you well....in fact I don't know you at all....

.....seems as tho you're fairly new here at LL having registered in July of this year....so while it's kind of late, I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you here to Lindaland....

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Some of us "knowflakes" are really kind of nice...

From your posts that I've seen here at GU Neptune, I can see that you are a fair and reasonable person looking for answers to this tangled mess our faux president and his merry band of criminals have gotten us into....and you certainly deserve to be treated with understanding for your concern!

I for one can identify with your hatred of war....and the horrible, ugly consequences of it....

I am just sick when I think of all the sacrifices that have been made in the name of this war started by geroge w bush!!!!

....and not only because of our young soldiers dying and wounded - with missing limbs, blind, brain damaged....(and so much more that's heartbreaking.......) but also because of the innocent Iraqi civilians including women and children..... and all because of an imbecile with a superiority complex fed by his greedy criminal cohorts!

It doesn't take an idiot to understand why people such as you and I would be troubled about such atrocities!

*~*~*~*~

I noted that you were warned that "in time, your opinion will warrent comments, refuting your allegations!"

Please don't let that intimidate you!

There are plenty here who will NOT be so ready to jump on the bandwagon to "refute" something you say, when what you say has legs to it! and I'm sure you wouldn't say it - if it didn't!

Please feel free to continue to EXPRESS YOURSELF here!

That's what this forum is all about....

Rainbow,

Play your martyr game somewhere else. I have exchanged posts with Neptune before. I find her to be a bright young woman that appreciates straight talk.

You 'reaching' out as you are only proves how desparate you are for attention and to make a point that everyone is so mean and scary to you.

I think that Neptune will come to her own decisions as she has in the past. I am sure once she looks into your posting style she'll be embarrassed at your display of maternal guidence. Then again, she could be a mini-you and this is the beginning of her following your kind of path. But I doubt it because she seems to have a strong head on her shoulders and I enjoy her posts (for the most part) even if she represents a different point of view.

PS... now put your money where you mouth is

"and not only because of our young soldiers dying and wounded - with missing limbs, blind, brain damaged....(and so much more that's heartbreaking.......) but also because of the innocent Iraqi civilians including women and children..... and all because of an imbecile with a superiority complex fed by his greedy criminal cohorts!"

PROVE your allegations Rainbow! How many Soldiers have you interviewed? How many joined AFTER the war knowing that they would be deployed. Don't even pretend you care about their wellbeing, you can't even wish the Military Happy Birthday or make a kind statement on a 9-11 memorial. IN actuality, you come across as only supporting the dead and mangled troops in order to support your hatred of Bush and this war.

Wait.. you CAN'T prove your allegations because they are lies based on an emotion known as "hate" for all that related to this Administration. You should be ashamed of yourself for making our Soldiers look like idiot lemmings to the slaughter. One Soldier, no matter the age, is smarter than all the Leftest wacknut Commie lovers put together.
