You would think seeing a black man in office this guy will have hope.
Gee didn't realize dreams last this short http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/01/28/family.dead.california/index.html

I can be what I want out of my own volition.

Am I supposed to play along when that family is long dead?

so obama gets the credit for this tragedy?

those beautiful children losing thier lives?

the parents feeling like they are all better off dead, due to job loss and economic conditions?

you atribute this to obama? I think you give him more power than he is due. This is a sad tragedy, and nothing at all to do with who is in the position of the president of the united states.

those precious beautiful children. it is indeed a tragedy.

No, I don't blame Obama for that. It is presumptious to assume the black guy may have voted for Obama.

Just making casual statements and enjoying myself. Oh come on, for the love of 'poems' appreciate those words --

Obama lifts hands ...

(Bravo!!)

...and we all know in our hearts for whom LOL

Kidda like Moses lifting his staff for people whom he called Gods own. Giving birth to more problems for his people all over the world. So never think you are special or lead people to believe it. There is a price one pays for saying that

Besides with whom should I emphathize with?

No one remained in the family to empathize with? They are the ones who really cared.

Nope, not a drop of tear comes to my eyes when the whole world is expecting it.

it is presumtuous to assume i knew you were black. dont matter to me anyway if you are purple with green stripes.

It still doesn't change the fact that those beautiful children are gone forever.

you don't have to cry for them. that is your choice.

when i see thier little faces my heart inside of me, hurts.I also am not cring out wardly for these poor children that never had a chance, but I refuse to mock a tragedy in anyones life, even someone that deliberately hurt me personally. it kind of surprises me that you would as i truly enjoy most of your posts.

unless you are trying to make a statement and I am just not getting it.

it is a shame and a tragedy, that is what it is.

i agree with your last statement, your very last statement, although i do not see how it has anything to do with the tragedy.

humility is a aspect GREAT men share.

From what I read, the wife was not in on his plan or expecting to be murdered.

Nope , I'm not black. I am expresso

Gee, I am in such a happy mood today. I see no suffering. Bondage and freedom are all illusions of the mind.

While its true that when one depressed man enters the room, the entire room picks up on his depression.

I am just spreading happiness in my way.
Theres enough sh1t in the world to cling to it.

Taking a dig at the hypocrisy of liberals of this country. And I also do the same for conservatives , rarely though.

To live happyly is not to take upon insults the world throws at you. Everyone has a choice.

Perhaps Mocha, which is good too.
I think black here is synonymous with race. I hope we don't make Expresso/Mocha synonymous with indians or pakis LOL. People really hate labels if they hate themselves. But I am cool with labels you put on me, because I love myself.

Oh, I am not trying to convince any one or be convinced. I am just sharing the news. We have been seing such episodes since few months ago. There is increasing rates of crimes and vandalism reported in towns that used to be crime free.

Just bracing people up to it and perhaps myself who is making a decision whether to save money or spend and buy a new home. No one knows where the economy is headed. Perhaps I must stop philosophising and take things the way it comes. Overthinking kills it.

Didn't we all build a false prison around us in the name of the american dream? When that goes away, people commits suicide because we all have been too sucked up in to it. They cannot imagine a life without amenities and comfort.

Could Atlantis have died its own death? Or was it due natural event?

Gosh - everytime I hear such news, I am compelled to remind myself to 'wake up'

Am I clinging too much to my job, and to the urban lifestyle? And therefore unable to just go far away and buy some land in a remote place. But will my old mindset continue to follow me, making me still unhappy. Or must I stay here, and live amidst the noise? For it is here, the real strength of your tolerance is tested. For it is here that you learn to bloom as a beautiful lotus flower amidst the murky water.

Oh happiness you are nothing but facticity of ones mind.

very true mannu, i was just discussing this very thing. I think survivors or people that have lived on little are more equipped to live with or through really hard times. people that have not had to, they have mortgae, 1200 car pmt 400 car ins 150 bills, they lose thier job, there is no help for persons with ASSETS so they get behind and to them it is more devasting than those have have lived without as a day to day life. They don't see a way out. it is tragic. another one (murder suicicde)reported today family of 4 in ohio.

Just out of curiosity, how do you know one or both people voted for Obama?

Black and in California, ASSUMING they voted, then statistically they probably did (though actually, statistically I think all races were more likely to vote Obama in CA). But we can't rightly assume that they did because they were black (or that they even voted at all). Or that they saw themselves as "Obama's people."

And as for the Hope shtick, one COULD theorize that they couldn't blame being black for their troubles anymore, now that one (at least close enough) is now sitting in the Oval Office after a landslide victory, and this time it isn't even challenged in court or demands of recount as the last few have been. Not that I think this is the case, I'm just saying hypothetically that's an answer (assuming your question wasn't meant as rhetorical).

Personally, I'm guessing race (and Obama) had nothing to do with this. I doubt Obama entered their thoughts in any meaningful way during this tragic event, even IF they voted, and voted for Obama.
