"Someone has to die in order for others to learn to appreciate life more; it's contrast" The Hours------------------ Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year.... The only other sound's the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. ~Robert Frost IP: Logged |

we all want a crowd by our side yelling loud telling us we should be proud of what we done but it takes guts to give it up one on one and if you run when you are young when you are old you'll remember when you had the chance to have it all

my all time favorite movie as a little girl is on now. i watched it every single time i went to visit my grandparents. (they only had a couple of movies) The Sound of Music havent heard this in so long.... Maria She climbs a tree And scrapes her knee Her dress has got a tear She waltzs on her way to mass And whistles on the stair And underneath her wimple She has curlers in her hair! I've even heard her singing in the abbey She's always late for chapel, But her penitence is real She's always late for everything Except for every meal I hate to have to say it but I very firmly feel (all together) Maria's not an asset to the abbey (one nun) I'd like to say a word in her behalf: Maria makes me laugh (all nuns laugh) (Mother Abbess) How do you solve a problem like maria? How do you catch a cloud and pin it down? (one nun) How do you find a word that means Maria? (one nun at a time) A flibbertajibbit? A will of a whisp a clown Many a thing you know you'd like tell her Many a thing she ought to understand But how do you make her stay? And listen to all you say how do you keep a wave upon the sand? Oh how do you solve a problem like Maria? How do you hold a moon beam in your hand? When I'm with her I'm confused Out of focus And bemused And I never know exactly where I am (one nun at a time) Unpredictable as weather She's as flighty as a feather She's a darling She's a demon She's a lamb She'd out pester any pest Drive a hornet from its nest She can throw a twirling dervish out of whirl She is gentle She is wild She's a riddle She's a child She's a headache She's an angel She's a girl!! (all at once) How do you solve a problem like Maria? How do you catch a cloud and pin it down? How do you find a word that means Maria? A flibbertajjibet A will of a wisp A clown Many a thing you know you'd like to tell her Many a thing she ought to understand But how do you make her stay? And listen to all you say How do you keep a wave upon the sand? Oh how do you solve a problem like maria? How do you hold a moon beam in your hand?

i keep hearing this one and i just found out i was singing the lyrics all wrong too. "Dance all days long" ? No, it's: "Dance hall days love" by Wang Chung oh. & i thought he said "We were cool on Christ" (come on, you know you did to ) but i guess it's: "We were cool on craze" Take your baby by the wrist And in her mouth an amethyst And in her eyes two sapphires blue And you need her and she needs you (x5)"

"Beau Soir" Text by Paul Bourget (1852-1935) Music by Claude Debussy, 1891 Lorsque au soleil couchant les rivières sont roses, Et qu'un tiède frisson court sur les champs de blé, Un conseil d'être heureux semble sortir des choses Et monter vers le coeur troublé.Un conseil de goûter le charme d'être au monde, Cependant qu'on est jeune et que le soir est beau, Car nous nous en allons comme s'en va cette onde, Elle à la mer, nous au tombeau. "Beautiful Evening" When at sunset the rivers are rosy And a gentle ripple crosses the fields of grain A suggestion to be happy seems to emanate from all things And enters the troubled heart A suggestion to savor the charm of being in the world While one is young ...and the evening is beautiful ....For we are moving on Just as this wave moves on ...It to the sea ...We to the tomb. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhh9q6zZcFs ------------------ The truth is ... everything counts. L'Heure exquise - Text by Paul Verlaine Music by Reynaldo HahnLa lune blanche luit dans les bois. The Time of Delight
The white moon shines in the woods. From each branch springs a voice beneath the arbor. Oh my beloved... The pond reflects, like a deep mirror, the silhouette of the black willow where the wind weeps. Let us dream! It is the hour. A vast and tender calm seems to descend from a sky made iridescent by the moon. It is the exquisite hour! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zc2pZVpVNu4 ------------------ The truth is ... everything counts. Everything. Everything we do and everything we say.
