Disjointed Reflections:Going with the flow does not mean allowing ourselves to be carried away by every thought or emotion, this way and that, and back again. Being detached from the flow... Allowing the flow.... A discipline... The self-conscious application of will... Single-pointed concentration... On nothing. -------------------------------------------------------- Soul and Spirit are identical in what respect? -------------------------------------------------------- The flow... Mutable energy... Gemini and Pisces.... (or Sag and Pisces...) When is it a case of escapism, opportunism, -- making use of a truth as it suits us, then making use of its opposite, when that suits our purposes? Is it the intention? IP: Logged |

“In peace there's nothing so becomes a man As modest stillness and humility; But when the blast of war blows in our ears, Then imitate the action of the tiger: Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood, Disguise fair nature with rage, Then lend the eye a terrible aspect; Now set the teeth, and stretch the nostril wide, Hold hard the breath, and bend up every spirit To his full height!”~ Shakespeare

Violence is justified, and justifiable. But only by weakness. The greater the weakness, the greater the justification. Something to ponder. ---------------------------------------------------------------- The pacifism of saints... What is it worth? What does pacifism cost the person who has nothing to lose? The saint can afford to be dismembered. He or She does not identify with the body, and does not follow the body into suffering and death. But the illusion is real for the rest of us. And the decision of the saint, to lay down in the path of violence, affects not only the saint, but all of us, as well. If Hitler's Germany was not resisted with arms... How quickly would the momentum of hate be exhausted? After the world's riches are surrendered, and the fires of greed are stoked... And the Jews are "goose-stomped" into history. A thousand years of pillage? If we layed down,,... Ten thousand years? Would that be the end of it? Do we drag it out, for tens of thousands of years, by resisting violence with violence? I dont know.

Will I ever see the pleasure that will never end Hidden in the misty forest that desire send Mesmerised like fireflys falling through a flame If I wait I'll be too late to holler out your name If I wait another day to travel to the east Time may prey upon me, dance upon me with it's feet Hidden in the temple they are building to the sun Hidden in the forest, hidden figure with a gun I have waited to be here Now I feel you, feel you near - take me home Kula Shaker- Temple Of Everlasting Light Lyrics

Thanks, SteveI have a really amazing Gem best friend (a dude) who is helping me to not sabbotage this one... He's literally the dude version of me, and he knows I am over-analytical and pretty much insane as far as relationships go... Thank my stars for him keeping me from running right now... Although, I think I have learned, and I can actually take credit for the positive introspection I am currently surrendering to. ....thou shalt not run screaming.... LTT for pulling out the Kula Shaker!! IP: Logged |

Ghanima, here's a site where you can listen to a few of their songs. That song isn't on there, but I've been listening to "Sound of Drums" today- very uplifting. http://www.myspace.com/kshaker The acoustic version of "Govinda" is very good too. IP: Logged |

Ghani,
Sounds like a fantastic resource you have there. I get along famously with Gems, usually.
But, yeah, I know what you mean. Those air-sign gals can really run it around. What are some of your other placements? Can I peep (your chart)?

In either direction. Good luck! s IP: Logged |

It's a first for me! Cancer sun, 7th. Cappy moon 12th, Merc in Leo in 7th, Venus in Virgo 7th... CRAZY!! Mars Cancer, 6th. You know what saves it? Aqua on the Asc... Really helps with the "where the eff did you wander off to just then" factor a total Uranus head like myself often succombs to. He's... unlike anyone I've ever met. I never thought I could be interested in a Cancer as more than a friend, but we really grew on each other. I guess I was afraid he would be really clingy, and I would freak & run, but he's totally amazing and understanding, and makes me laugh all the time. Yet, feel safe and wanted and really adored... I... holy crap, I'm scared!! Yeah, we kinda have a lot in common astro wise. Earthly venusian influences, our moons balance each other in a strange way, it just... works? Leo mooner, eh? We're fun! Especially with an opposing sun.. hehe!! IP: Logged |

Thank you, luv!!I'm taking it really slowly. It's really wonderful this way... actually getting to know a person before getting too committed to each other. I always did that. I would jump in, no safety net, and then be stuck with someone I didn't know, and was too afraid to hurt to ever say I wasn't into it. For years sometimes. I won't let that happen again. I was a little unsure for a while, but this weekend was amazing... He is a true gem, and I will not hurt his heart, if I can help it. It's too beautiful... IP: Logged |
