Comparable to walking in dream
lulling away from reality
yet thoughtfully awakening

Gleaming beyond sky above
opened and receiving
a belief never forsaken

Heavy within ethers of love
concurrently found
upon compassing paths
willfully taken on sturdy ground.

I can't say I get special treatment because of it being February 14th, my Valentine is considerate pretty much all year long. I'm certainly spoiled- and it does make for endearing poetry.

Sharing an oldie- I had on here before. I went through and edited previously written poems here upon publishing a few years back-because I wasn't sure in the beginning if I would have the rites to my work or them. This time around I thought who cares it's my words/work! I'll do as I please..(rebellious)

Valentine

A welcome reception
submerged into an intimate setting
finally finding unfaltering acceptance

This time I cannot fall back
on my worn-out feeble excuses

Intuitively knowing and being at peace
an insignia taken meekly
on this insincere day of love

A profound sadness washes over me
and my cheery attire
as I reach out into the air
only to find
you are not there

A heavenly realm exists for those-
who sit among the chaos
within an envisioned tranquil setting
forever awaiting their cue

Brimming with memories of innocence and grace
as time stood still
while looking into the heavens
wishing on the new moon

I serenely enter your abode.

Seed to Bloom

Love is love.
Essentially when it feels like a gift or something from above. Nourish and nurture it. I've often felt ensouled with human love and plants, the analogies which exist between the two. From seed to bloom- think of all the care involved- seasonably patient, sturdily growing within loam- yet not bequeathed a moment too soon.

* Looking forward to Valentine's this year, normally we don't do too much, but this year I won a free hotel stay at a nice place- from a charity event I attended. So I booked it. To sit by the pool- get a break from the snow & cold, perhaps dress up and catch a local band, and of course have some much needed couple time!

Yep, right around the corner Randall.

Mirage, my it does go by quick at times. I already have my eyes ahead to spring. The snow is beautiful, quiet, and serene- but I've pretty much had enough. I'm anxious for some vivid colors, flowers, bare feet, and soft earth underneath.
