ACT II - DREAMWAKER
I steeled my soul in your wake.
The confusion I could see,
boiling in your blood as you quake. Red is rising in your cheeks,
yet still you stand at the door.
I feel these soul strings,
ripping and tearing at my core. The threads are coiling like snake -
a vice grip on my heart!
We can't repeat our mistakes -
you unearthed these wounds in part! I want to shatter your mirror -
leave you broken on the floor. Is that naught where you would like to be?
I, the mother-moon,you dream-wake you see?

Wow, I feel so humbled everyone - thank you! I was so nervous about posting my writing, it has been so long.

I did actually write a version of it for a song! I broke a string on my guitar so I can't wait until I get a new set to restring it, I've just been doing vocals lately and can't test out the beat and feel/hear the melody.

I am so pleased you enjoyed this piece, I do strongly identify with my indigenous roots.  I have a mixed ancestry, but my Cree/Mohawk/Cherokee blood I feel the most. I am very passionate about First Nations culture & spirtiuality and attend many ceremonies up north here.
