Good lil' druidette!!! Did your homework!!!
Here is what I see:
9 Pentacles= a feeling of being incomplete.
Others see you as having it all, but you
are still seeking a purpose.
2 Pentacles= you are trying to cope with two
situations....perhaps battling with your
emotions?
3 Cups= something good is on the way.Perhaps
a happy conclusion to your love situation
6 Swords= you have the strength to leave the
old behind and move forward. Perhaps
leaving old fears and insecurities behind
in order to face the new joyful times.
9 Pentacles=see above
High Priestess=There is much activity
beneath the surface and the whole picture
cannot be seen at this time. Forces of
the Universe are moving all puzzle pieces
in the correct places for you.
6 Wands=the victory is yours. You can win!
Relationship will get better.

~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
sounds to me like things will work out for you!!

Hi Foxxy......I think it would be okay to buy a deck right now, since it is something you were pursuing before the retro.

La-Tee-Da, I have a question about the 3 of Swords.
The book says that it denotes, strife and heartbreak. But looking at the picture, (I have the Mythic Deck) wouldn't you say that betrayal figures in that card?
Is the heartbreak this card augurs brought on by betrayal of some kind? Or could it atleast be a possibility?

Also, what is your take on the Magician in the 8th position (how others see you) in a Celtic Cross spread? How would that cause them to behave towards the seeker?

Thanks!

Aquamoon.....definitely betrayal!! I think it signifies heartache from betrayal, heartache from a lost loved one, heartache from separation (like from an argument). I think the whole spread has to be looked at and heard before you can decide the true meaning.

The Magician, to me signifies, that you are going in the right direction. You have the power to get where you want to be through the power of God/Goddess. When it represents the feelings of other around you, it tells me that others see your strength and can sense your closeness with God/Goddess.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, La-Tee-Da!
Not just for the answers, but for sharing your knowledge and taking the trouble to help us all understand the Tarot. I'm hooked already. Though I know I have a long way to go before I am able to fully understand the messages I'm being sent, I'm happy to know I have a first class guide to help me along.

You are most welcome...but I am still learning alot myself....everytime I pull out my deck, a new message is given to me....that I will gladly share with you druidettes and druids!!

I forgot to tell you, that the Master Tarot reader told me to put my cards in a purple silk cloth....I chose to put mine in a purple silk bag, with a drawstring. You can wrap them in a purple silk cloth square, if you wish. Purple is the color of high magic and high divination, according to her, and silk allows this magical energy to flow easier. I sometimes put my purple plate in the bag too, for added energy....the cards literally jump out of my hands when I do this!!!

Thanks! I'm looking for just the right cloth. I'm planning to stitch it myself. I figure that's a good way to incorporate my vibrations.
Now, down to business! My homework:

Should I go back to drama?
(I did theatre for a long time when I was younger, then decided to stop for a while because I had a big exam coming up, and never went back.)

2 of Cups - Interesting thata the meaning includes 'reconciliation'

King of Cups - ??

King of Wands - Go get what you want and it's yours?

The Star - Have faith (in myself maybe? It's never easy to go back to something after taking such a long break?).

King of Wands again! - Gotta go back!!

8 of Wands - 'A period of action after delay' Hmmmm.

Knight of Cups - 'may imply an artistic proposition' HMMMMMMM

3 Cup cards ...... my labour of love, you think?

On the whole I'd say I'm being told to take the plunge and I'll be rewarded. Over to you!

Okay, here's the scoop:

2 of Cups=understanding,deep friendship or love between a man and a woman. A complimentary seed has flowered into a tree.

King of Cups=A man in his maturity which can help you. Perhaps a dean of a college? An agent?

King of Wands=take your time in any upcoming agreement before making a decision.

Star=future accomplishment of goals presently being developed. On the right path, foundations are good. Strong spiritual forces around you.

8 Wands=goal within reach, new ideas will bring about satisfactory conclusions.

Knight of Cups=can mean a deep relationship with Karmic ties. Perhaps a relationship with theatre? Perhaps this is a tie from a previous life?

3 Cups= happy conclusion, success and the beginning of a new life style. Hopes complete.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sounds to me like a YES answer. Just weigh all your options before leaping. The Cups suit represent love and happiness, and you drew 4 cups in this reading! So, YES!!YES!!YES!! with lots of happiness and satisfaction headed your way!!!
Bright Blessings
Yippee!
Can't wait for the next assignment, Prof!
One teeny-tiny question? The Celtic Cross spread .... different books seem to have different meanings attached to the positions. This is how I've been doing it, and I was hoping you'd check and tell me if these are ok:
Position 1 - The Significator/present circumstance
Position 2 - The Crossing Card. May impede or help the circumstance depending on both cards drawn
Position 3 - The Crowning Card or the environment hanging directly over Pos. 1(Your state of mind etc.)
Position 4 - The Base Card (your unconscious desires, drives etc)
Position 5 - Past influences (diminishing)
Position 6 - Forthcoming Influences
Position 7 - Where one will be presently (upcoming circumstances)
Position 8 - How others see you and your situation
Position 9 - Your hopes and fears
Position 10 - The Outcome
I just realised you might need to see the position of the cards laid out, so I'm going to try to show you.
***************Pos3*********************Pos10
****Pos6*******Pos1***********Pos5******Pos9
***************Pos2(crossing 1)*********Pos8
***************Pos4*********************Pos7
Thanks LTD!
can't wait to give this a go myself! just a couple of questions....
i've had conflicting info on court cards, do they relate to astrological signs and ages and does a king/knight always mean a male?
i've also been told that if a knight of cups falls before a king of cups in a spread this means that this person will become more important to you
i'm really interested in getting a tarot card reading (i play at it myself but i'm not that good at interpreting). how can i go about it? can i get one by email?
Aquamoon.....here is what I was taught regarding the Celtic Cross Spread:
Position 1: this is what covers you
2: this is what crosses you for good or bad
3: this is the basis of the situation
4: this is behind you, or in the process of leaving.
5: this is what crowns you and could come into being
6: this is before you
7: this represents your own negative feelings
8: this represents the feelings of others around you
9: this represents your own positive feelings
10: this is the outcome
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This is the analysis of what each position means:
1.the first card allows you to go beyond the question asked. It tells you what the person is experiencing with regard to the question. The vibes surrounding the condition are generally revealed with this first card. If a court card turns up here, it indicates that another person is involved in the query.
2.whatever this card represents can be determined in the light of the remaining spread. Check the entire spread carefully before offering an interpretation.
3. this card reveals the real origin of the question.Pay special attention to this card. The third card will help you considerably in your overall divination.
4. from this card you can see the immediate background of psychic vibes experienced by the client. The condition may still be with the person, all dependent on his/her attitude.
5.relates to situations not yet materialized and is extremely helpful in advising the person.With this card you can see a possible course of future events.
6.in interpreting this card, you should consider the 10th and final card also. These cards are connected...one leads to the other.
7.together with the third card, the 7th canhelp you to see deeply into the true emotions surrounding the client's question.
8.if the question is about another person, this card will help you to see the other person's point of view.
9.this card shows how the client really feels about the matter in question.
10.all cards lead up to this card and must be read carefully to determine the meaning of this final card.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hope this helps
Sometimes it can get confusing, when first starting out, so my advice is to allow the Spirit of the Tarot to guide you. Allow the information to flow thru you.
All the readings I have gotten there have been pretty "right on" for me.
