Greetings...

Scorpioncrystal,

Well YES, it's still alive and well, and the threads are scattered here throughout this forum... I've been a bit lax about posting new entries, but will as time and motivation permit!

Please just feel free to dig thru them and ask any questions or add any commentary that you feel would be helpful!

Blessed Be...

Hi Aselzion!!!

This is a great idea! I’ve been wanting to learn tarot for a long time… Recently I got my first deck, a Rider-Waite one… I’m starting to get in tune with it… It still stinks to ink, I need to fiddle with it a bit longer… Sometimes I sleep with it under my pillow, I believe I channel a lot of energy through my dreams… They are very vivid sometimes and I’m sure I astral-travel… My Neptune is powerful as it is in the 12th house conjunct with the Moon and Asc, so I thought it would be a good way to pass on some energy to the deck…

I also thought of storing it with my small purple plate… It’s the perfect size and it would make sense if the plate actually vibrates with life energy…

Where shall I start? Any recommendation? Which threads shall I read first?

Thanks!!!

Greetings...

Steel...

Wow... what a lot of Neptune. Do you find that the women in your life can be less than honest from time to time? Also, have a hard time keeping your energy on an even keel?

Rider deck is a good place to start.. all of the cards have a picture that helps to clarify the meaning.

I'd say learn that deck, and then move on if you feel so moved to other decks that seem to call out to you... and they WILL!

Personally I don't sleep with my cards under my pillow.. but I've had some of my decks for over 26 years. I find that sleeping with them under the pillow gave me weird dreams.. not necessarily bad, but I certainly didn't get a restful sleep.

I bumped some of the introductory stuff, I've been very remiss lately.. but I hope to get back on track soon.

Welcome and blessings...

Hi Aselzion!!!!

Hmmmmmmm... I’m not aware of women being dishonest around me, not more than men or more than normal... Regarding energy levels, I’m usually very energetic… I’ve got drive… I usually burn too much non stop fro long periods of time and then one day I get exhausted and need to back off for a short while, just stop for a second and get my breath back… But then I get energized very soon and start burning again… I got told it’s mainly because Jupiter, my chart ruler (I’m a Saggy Asc), conjuncts Mars and is very powerful in my chart… It’s in exaltation, in mutual reception with the Moon and three of my planets including the Sun are in the 9th house… OK, I’ll stop with the blabber…

I’m getting a free tarot course through the net so I will start with that…

The first time I slept with my deck I had a wonderful dream, one of those that keep you smiling the whole morning… One of those that I believe are astral travels, where I meet with someone very special for me, the one I believe is my Twin Soul, and love around me is so real that you can breathe it…

A question… I’ve read that it’s a good practice to have two decks, one for your own consultations that you shouldn’t let anyone touch, and another one to give other people readings. That way your personal deck doesn’t get contaminated with other people’s energies… Is that true? At the moment I won’t do readings as I need to explore and learn so I’ll be all right with one… Just curiosity…

Thanks for your help!!! I’ll keep an eye on this forum…

Aselzion-
If you have the time- could you continue with the Tarot lessons? They're very inspiring!

Greetings...

It is my plan to continue the lessons, but it's been hard getting motivated to do alot recently following the unexpected death of my mother, strating a new job (which is actually going very well) and having my 4 year old car totalled on the way to my lawyer's office to work on writing my will. (loooong story!)

So, I'm working on getting out of my funk, but am using my precious free time to work on my own studies and REST when I can. The new job gets me up at 4:00am and I don't usually get home til about 5:00pm or later.

It is in the works, and thank you for your kind words and patience...

In the Light...

Aselzion,
I'm so sorry to hear that (always an inadequate statement isn't it?); But I really mean it.
Please rest, be well, breathe, heal..

Greetings....

Thank you for the encouraging words.

It's an amazing thing to be confronted with death on this level... you KNOW that there is NO DEATH in Truth, but the human part of you relly gets discombobulated.

I'm working on being gentle with me and taking time.. most days now are better than they have been in the past couple of months, but it's still kind of a one-ffot-in-front-of-the-other mode that I find myself functioning on these days.

Currently my research is bringing me back into the realm of Astrology from a predictive standpoint... my specialties have always been Medical and Horary.

I find that my studies tend to be cyclical (big surprise for an Astrologer, eh?!) and tend to revolve around Astrology, Tarot, Numerology and Qabalah. Right now I'm in Astrologer mode.

I do promise though that when the Tarot mode comes back around, I will devote a good deal of time preparing more lessons. But if anyone has questions (IN GENERAL, not for readings, please) I'll be happy to see what I can do to get into mini-Tarot mode!

Blessings in the Light...

I just had this thought the other night !!!Since I started studying Tarot seriously (only a few weeks ago) I began to think that it might be a great idea to devote a thread for each card or suite and we all can contribute our own synopsis of that card.

That would be totally fun learning! I'm up for it!

Thanks Randall for bumping these threads.
