Hi all,

I've been wrestling with lots of negativity recently which has manifested in lots of different ways ~(jealousy being the worst and doubting the second worst) and I'm really trying hard to rid myself of it completely.

I have days when I'm fine and can believe all the good and wonderful things that I'm so lucky to have in my life and then other times when I just seem to pick away at all the beauty like I'm trying to erode it.

I know you're probably reading this and thinking, "Hey girl, that's life!" and you're absolutely right. It's just that when you catch glimpses of equilibrium and peace of mind you kind of want to hang on to it!! Also, I don't want to wreck everything by not appreciating all the good until it's too late.

Seriously though, I really desperately want to kick this annoying, ungrateful, debilatating and potentially dangerous habit of doubting the good that's actually been proved to me and being jealous of the past, and would be so grateful if anyone knows of any spell or visualisation etc to help.

Magic I know is simply the tool with which to focus your mind and I think that's just what I need... a bit of clearer focus!

Thanks ever so much,
Sarah xx

Hi Sarah,

Sorry to read youre not feeling great lately. When you ask is there a spell, well I think it takes more than this girl.

I was raised by an extremely negative mum and dad, everything was "oh be careful, dont take any risks" and then with my mum there was little encouragement, just fear. Also she was very conventional and I have always been the opposite. So how did I shed myself of this conditioning - well, over the years I did lots of work on myself, healing, counselling, psycotherapy and of late have been delighted to discover that I am in fact a very POSITIVE person in general and not negative at all - it was just my conditioning that made me like that.

I feel very grateful for the small things in life and have a natural enthusiasm about me. I find doing the things I love helps me to retain this like singing, dancing, music, being with good friends etc and I now FEEL I deserve happiness, as do you Sarah. So maybe you could start with some positive affirmations, such as I am worthy of happiness, I am positiive, I am joyful etc etc, and see how you go on from there.

Even tho I am a parent myself, I do feel our Mums and Dads can have a lot to answer for, if you are told every day how wonderful you are..........at some stage you are gonna start believing it and the same goes for the opposite.

Sending you some Irish luck and love

Sue you've done it again! You've made me feel so much better!

Reading it back I realise my post was a bit misleading and made it sound as though I'm in the depths of despair every other day which isn't strictly true. It's just that for some strange reason, I seem to have a problem accepting and believing the good things in my life all of a sudden! I do appreciate them but seem to flip between that and doubting their truth.

Part of me can see it's silly and it's that part that was asking for some clarity and focus. But the affirmations are a wonderful suggestion and a much better, more permanent route to well-being so I thank you for your Scorpio clarity and the beautiful gift of Irish luck and love!

I know how hard a time you're going through Sue and it just goes to show what a beautiful person you are to extend help to others during that time - take a huge hug, and a healthy dollop of Welsh Dragon luck and love to ease your problems

You're a wonder Sue and very much loved around these here parts!

Thank you,
Sarah xx

Get a white candle -- either a plain one (offertory, pillar, or taper) or a figural one in the gender of the person you want to bless. Carve the person's full name on the candle, then dress it with Blessing Oil or 7-11 Holy Oil.

For more power, you may place a name-paper of the person, or a photo, or some personal item of theirs (such as a bit of hair or a snippet of clothing) either under the candle or next to it. One easy way to do this is to place the paper or personal concerns under an overturned saucer and put the candle on top of the saucer.

Burn a portion of the candle every day for seven days, pinching it out between burnings. As you light it each day, say this

[Name], may you be blessed

May all good things come to you
May nothing whatsoever harm you

May your heart be light
May your travels be safe
May your health be good
May your mind be sound
May your friendships sustain you
*

May you be blessed in every way
* If you have a special request for this person (such as that they find a lover, get a good job, come home safely from a war, or whatever), just add it to the list.

PSALM 37 AS A CLEANSING RITUAL

The 37th Psalm is used for all types of uncrossing, unjinxing,
unhexing, and generally doing away with the work or "tricks"
that others have placed upon one.

Here is a very simple spell using this Psalm in the hoodoo tradition:

Two small white offertory candles are lit. The practitioner
stands between them, and bathes with clear rain water, spring
water, or tap water to which tears have been added while
reciting the Psalm. If you customarily burn incense while
reciting Psalms, it should be 7-11 Holy Type, or Blessing,
or Frankincense Resin.

Here is the Psalm, for your convenience:

*****

Psalm 37

1: Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious
against the workers of iniquity.

2: For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the
green herb.

3: Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and
verily thou shalt be fed.

4: Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires
of thine heart.

5: Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring
it to pass.

6: And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy
judgment as the noonday.

7: Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself
because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who
bringeth wicked
devices to pass.

8: Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to
do evil.

9: For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD,
they shall inherit the earth.

10: For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt
diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11: But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves
in the abundance of peace.

12: The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his
teeth.

13: The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

14: The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to
cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright
conversation.

15: Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall
be broken.

16: A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many
wicked.

17: For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth
the righteous.

18: The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance
shall be for ever.

19: They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of
famine they shall be satisfied.

20: But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as
the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume
away.

21: The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous
sheweth mercy, and giveth.

22: For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that
be cursed of him shall be cut off.

23: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth
in his way.

24: Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD
upholdeth him with his hand.

25: I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous
forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26: He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

27: Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28: For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are
preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29: The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30: The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh
of judgment.

31: The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

32: The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

33: The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is
judged.

34: Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to
inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

35: I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a
green bay tree.

36: Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he
could not be found.

37: Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that
man is peace.

38: But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the
wicked shall be cut off.

39: But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their
strength in the time of trouble.

40: And the LORD shall help them and deliver them: he shall deliver them
from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Hi Sarah

Ooohhh Welsh Dragon luck and love now that sounds like my sort of stuff - thanks!!!

Isnt it great here at LL when we can pass on advice or support to each other. After I replied to you yesterday I thought of another things which may help and that is the Paul McKenna cds. He is great for helping people to let go of negative patterns, he has a very high success rate and I am a great fan of his - he is a really cool guy.

I hope you feel better soon, take care xx

Wow!! Thanks artlovesdawn - that struck a chord with me and it reminded me of something that I hadn't thought of before.

I lost my dad 9 yrs ago and have missed him terribly ever since. I've not had feelings of jealousy as such in my previous relationships and rationally speaking, there really isn't any reason for me to be jealous in this one as my partner has patiently and beautifully parried all my doubts, insecurities and fears by telling me over and over again that "I'm for keeps," and that he "loves me more than anything." He's also told me I'm the most important thing in his life so yeah, why the hell do I ever doubt that?

Possibly because of his Aqua detachment (4 Aqua placements in his chart inc Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars!) so things can get decidedly frosty around here sometimes which makes a girl wonder. Hell, he was also born on an Aqua day - the 22nd!! But also I realise that I'm fearful of being left - like my dad 'left' I suppose when he died.

I really do have to try to accept his word as truth though because I really don't think he'd say it if he didn't mean it.

Last week, I had a reading with a clare voyant. She picked up on my dad immediately and described him and his passing exactly. She then described my partner and told me I'm lucky to have him and that we're meant to be together. Told me that we're joined and that nothing can separate us - even if we split up we'd get back together quickly. (Interesting as we have a Venus trine Pluto one way and a sextile the other in our charts and the explanation in Relationship signs says just that for this aspect!)

She also told me that my dad approves of him and has been trying to steer me to make the right decision re the relationship - a week ago, I kept thinking of my dad and I suddenly thought, "I'm gonna stay and try to believe the good I'm being offered." Cheers dad!

Hi Sue

Thanks so much for the tip and I will find some Paul Mckenna cds and try them out. Hope you're doing ok too hon

Thanks everyone again for helping and giving me your support. I really appreciate it and I'm getting there! Slowly but surely!

Love to all,
Sarah xx
