Hi, Aselzion... I just reread the numerology, Chaldean sytem, in Star Signs... The compound number in the name is the karmic number, the reduced single number of the person is the personality of that person... When we do the birth number, for instance, say mine is October 3, 1989... So I am a three.. But what does that represent? Just more info on your personality??? Is it that the birth single number and the  single number of the name mean the same thing??how are NAME single and compound numbers different from BIRTH single and compound numbers????
Thanks....

Greetings...

Let me go thru some of my notes, and I'll get back to you on that.

The answer, I believe requires more thought than my tired brain can manage at 1:52 am when I have to get up for work in 5 hours.

I'l look into it and get back to you...

Good question!

In the Light...

Also, Aselzion,

Also, when you get a chance...here is another question I had for you, because I know you are good with Tarot. When doing a reading for someone, and in the "present" if the cards show a divorce or seperation, and the person asks, "when will this happen?" what card do we look at? Is it that specific card which showed the seperation and do we go by that number(the number of the card)? And should we reduce it if it's a compound number(using numerology). At the same time, can we also look for a season time depending on the cards which denoted that?

I shuffle, then I have them shuffle, and break the cards in 3 piles: I tell them to chose a pile....I usually do the spread in this form (5 cards on each row)I read them from right to left. Depending on how many cards I have which is based on the pile they chose I normally do it as shown below(Normally the middle is always the present):

1....2....3...4...5 PAST
6....7....8...9...10 PAST
11...12...13...14...15PRESENT
16...17...18...19...20 PRESENT
21...22...23...24...25FUTURE
26...27...28...29...30FUTURE

Also, what if we see a pregnancy in the future, and they ask, "can you tell me a time when this will happen?" What should the reader look for? any specific cards? Any certain number, also, and should we reduce the number if it's a compund number (using numerology)? I hope that makes sense... And I appreciate your help.

Other questions they may have could be, "When is it a good time to move?"
"When is it a good time to start on the new business you see for me?" Marriage, etc?
Cheers,
SilverStone

Greetings...

I just spent 10 minutes typing my response only to have it all lost because I forgot to enter my password! ARGH!

Short version...

Birth Number is like the SUN in your Nativity. It shows the You of You. It is what you come into this life with, and also what you are here to develop. Birth Number also represents health issues, as it is immutable. You cannot change the Birth vibration.

Name Number is like the Ascendant in Astrology. It represents the role you play when you are out in the world, as it were. The Name number is what is vibrated into the ethers when people speak your name. For example, your family may call you Billy, and so you will portray THAT vibration in their company. When you go to school, your friends might call you Bill, and for them, you will take on that vibration. Your sweetie might call you William (or Will or some other variant that only she uses) and that will be the vibration that your portray for her. Your BIRTH NUMBER vibration will be the basis of Who You Are, but the Name will draw out, add to or bring conflict with that number, based on the sympathy (or antipathy) of their vibrations.

Hope that makes sense. If I'm being clear as mud, please feel free to ask for additional clarification. This is the best I can do in my frustration with the computer at present.

Apologies for the delay in this response, my studies have taken me down paths that I never would have expected all those years ago when I set my foot upon the Path.

Blessings and Peace...

A

P.S. I'll get to the Tarot question the next time I can sit in front of this blasted machine. Oh, and did I mention the Blue screen of death I get every once in a while?!? I think the next puter will be a Mac!!!

Aselzion, , Thank you. The information you provided certainly makes sense, and it helps me get a better perspective. I am sorry about you losing some of the info It's frustrating as Randall noted when it occurs. One of the things I do to avoid this is write on word first, then I copy and paste it here.

However, what you wrote helps me extremely, as I was a bit confused with the Name and birth meanings in Numerology! I knew you would hit it right on~

Yes, at your best convenience please so help me with the Tarot part.
Thank you,
SilverStone~

Greetings,

In terms of timing and Tarot... honestly after 27 + years in the practice I'd have to say, it's a crap shoot at best. Some books/teachers will say that a Tarot spread is good for about 3 mos or 6 mos, depending on the nature of the question. I will tell you that I have given readings only to be told that everything I said did happen, but 2 years later.

For most accurate timing, I look at the cards, and then the Nativity (and transits) to try and pin down a more definitive time. But not all card readers are Astrologers.

In a general way, you could kind of rough things out in this way (using your example) and again, the NATURE of the QUESTION will help determine the timing. Also, in my practice, I tend to favor a layout based on ODD numbers of rows, for reasons that will become obvious

1....2....3...4...5 PAST more distant or remote past in relation to the question
6....7....8...9...10 PAST more recent past (several months for example)
11...12...13...14...15PRESENT
16...17...18...19...20 PRESENT (here is where I break down with this example)
21...22...23...24...25FUTURE next few weeks or months
26...27...28...29...30FUTURE perhaps 1 to 2 years or more depending on query

My layouts would look a bit different, but the THEORY is the same:

5...4...3...2...1 PAST
10...9...8...7...6 PRESENT
15...14...13...12...11 FUTURE

It could as easily be 7 cards in 5 rows, but I try to keep it ODD so that the CENTER ROW represents the PRESENT, the preceding row(s) the PAST and the subsequent row(s) the future.

One might as easily use only ONE row of an odd number of cards, in this fashion:

7...6...5...4...3...2...1

Where card 1 is the remote past.
Card 2 is the medium past.
Card 3 is the recent past.
Card 4 is the PRESENT.
Card 5 is the near future.
Card 6 is the medium future.
Card 7 the more distant future.

In the same manner, you could apply those same timeframes to MORE rows. Like Astrology, it's kind of like "wheels within wheels".

Right to Left, Left to Right... all matters of personal preference. I tend to think like a Qabalist, so I read from RIGHT to LEFT as in Hebrew writing. But again, nothing is set in stone, you should do what feels RIGHT to you.

OK.. more later. I'm at work now and Big Brother is watching!

Blessings...
A

Awesome, , Aselzion! Thank you.Great information and tips... I like your style. I also like the last spread you did. Take your time with the rest... I know your busy.

Thank you Songwriter for providing that link

When you get a chance, what do you think of the planets in this numerical sense, somewhat relate to Linda's statements:

1 sun
2 moon
3 jupiter
4 uranus
5 mercury
6 venus
7 neptune
8 saturn
9 mars
0 pluto
10 earth (this one I am not sure)
11 Vulcan
12 Pan-Horus
13 Apollo (ruling earth)

P.S~
Aselzion, let me know your thoughts regarding the thread I completed... I know you are a genius at this:

Greetings…

Numbering Systems… there are probably as many out there as there are Numerologists practicing the Art.

The allocations that I have used, after Linda/Sephariel/Cheiro are:

1) Sun
2) Moon
3) Jupiter
4) Uranus (negative Sun)
5) Mercury
6) Venus
7) Neptune (negative Moon)
8) Saturn
9) Mars
0) Pluto

That having been said, there is also another system that I find works well in conjunction with Tarot/Qabalistic interpretations. These allocations will not, at first glance, make sense in Light of Linda's System, but I think they have merit when applied rightly.

3) Saturn
4) Jupiter
5) Mars
6) Sun
7) Venus
8) Mercury
9) Moon
10) Earth (interestingly, you came up with this allocation in your list)

Some people have tried to update that last System (based on the ancient planets and the Sephiroth on the Qabalistic Tree of Life diagram) to include the Outer planets, and I'm not sure to what degree they are successful.

As an interesting hint at a mystical interpretation of the Numbers in a Qabalistic sense, I'll post the 10 statements of the Pattern on the Trestleboard as taught by Paul Foster Case and his school, The Builders of the Adytum:

0 (The Limitless Light) All the Power that ever was or will be is here now.
1 (Kether) I am a center of expression for the Primal Will-to-Good which eternally creates and sustains the Universe.
2 (Chokmah) Through me its unfailing Wisdom takes form in thought and word.
3 (Binah/Saturn) Filled with Understanding of its perfect law, I am guided, moment by moment, along the path of liberation.
4 (Chesed/Jupiter) From the exhaustless riches of its Limitless Substance, I draw all things needful, both spiritual and material.
5 (Geburah/Mars) I recognize the manifestation of the Undeviating Justice in all the circumstances of my life.
6 (Tiphareth/Sun) In all things, great and small, I see the Beauty of the Divine Expression.
7 (Netzach/Venus) Living from that Will, supported by its unfailing Wisdom and Understanding, mine is the Victorious Life.
8 (Hod/Mercury) I look forward with confidence to the perfect realization of the Eternal Splendor of the Limitless Light.
9 (Yesod/Moon) In thought and word and deed, I rest my life, from day to day, upon the sure Foundation of Eternal Being.
10 (Malkuth/Earth) The Kingdom of Spirit is embodied in my flesh.

So, as Linda might say, here's a different system to look at and meditate on for your Contemplation/Elation!

More Later….

In the Light…

A

P.S. My Astrology teacher gave me some allocations for 11, 22 and 33, but I have to find them in my notes... so, again, a work in progress.

Ok here are the numbers in Numerology Chaldean and its allocations: Interestingly, Notice that Pluto is not mentioned...Neither is Vulcan, nor Pan-Horus, nor Apollo.... if these planets were said to be re-discovered, they either belong here somwehere or something is off?? But this is certainly interesting...

    2-The Moon
    3-Jupiter
    4-Uranus
    5-Mercury

Ok, I am spiriling....
if her working title Twelfth Night Secrets consisted also of the planets...12 and 13 are the secrets.. 12th (twilight) and then opens the door for 13. And Virgo goes after Gemini, which means Vulcan, as she mentioned, remember the twin thing....

quote:
Gooberz page 821...

Linda states:

.... the letters of her name, Isis, eternally held within the letters of his name, Osiris forever inseperable ....

that these two created, through their love
not one child-- but three ?
Horus was their son... and Isis gave birth also to twins
who were named Mercury and Vulcan
Vulcan, the goddess-- not the god-- of thunder
for Vulcan is a female planet
then later, I promised myself
that I would someday sort out the tangled webs of false mythology

Only half serioususly, and more than a little sadly, because there were other truths I channeled after you left related to Greece, MT. Olympus... the Great Pyramid of Gizeh Egyptian secrets of Initiation and... yes, of Atlantis too... and the buried records.... Gooberz page 821...
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/002064.html

Which bring me to this:

Apollo= 29 which reduces to 11

Vulcan= 24 which reduces to 6

Pan Horus= 37 which reduces to 10

0-Pluto-Scorpio
1-The Sun - Leo
2-The Moon-Cancer
3-Jupiter-Sagittarius
4-Uranus-Aquarius
5-Mercury-Gemini
6-Vulcan-Virgo
7-Neptune-Pisces
8-Saturn-Capricorn
9-Mars-Aries
10-Pan Horus-Taurus
11- Apollo-Earth
12- Venus-Libra
13- Draco-The Dragon (also called the sign of the Spider)

Just some food for thought~

***Note: Aselzion this also reminds me of your "Vulcan and Minerva" thread mentioning Minerva possibly ruling Libra (if I recall properly).... but then again, if that's right, Venus belongs to what planet? http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum18/HTML/000038.html

This sparks this, too, which Linda mentioned:

quote:
Would you like to continue this numerological spiraling a bit further? Ponder these truths. While Horus was the son of Isis and Osiris, Vulcan and Mercury were the names of their twin children (Mercury,
male - Vulcan, female). Zero or 0 is the number of Pluto, ruler of Scorpio, closely associated with Horus. 10 is Isis
and Osiris. The 0 of the double number represents Horus (Pluto-Scorpio) - and the 1 of the 10 whispers that, instead
of twins (which all births once were - explained in TNS), Horus was a single birth (for good reason) - Horus was one child only. The number of both Mercury and Vulcan (the twins) is 5. Therefore, the number of Gemini and Virgo is 5,since both are presently ruled by Mercury. Vulcan and Mercury were twins. Think about it. Gemini, the Twins, ruled by the number 5 and by Mercury - Mercury now ruling Virgo, until Vulcan (also a 5) is re-discovered.

Therein lies an astounding ancient mystery...for aeons hidden behind these astrological and numerological symbols.

Why is she bringing Scorpio in this? Perhaps Scorpio doesn't have its correct planet?

Greetings…

Well, as Pythagoras said, “Omnia in numeris sita sunt”, which means, “everything lies veiled in numbers”. From the very letters of the various alphabets, to the secrets of Sacred Geometry, to the very faces worn by architectural edifices and even all living entities, Numbers are inextricably woven into the fabric of the Universe.

3.14159265, Pi, is related to function (Virgo and Vulcan), and 1.618034, Phi, The “Golden Ratio”, is related to form. (Libra and Minerva).

As I have stated elsewhere, I respectfully disagree with Linda’s allocation of a “missing planet” to Taurus, and am of the opinion that Venus is VERY comfy at home there. Earthy, lustful Venus is, in my opinion, the true ruler of sensuous, earthy Taurus.

Minerva, Goddess of Wisdom and War, I think, is a better fit for airy, occasionally emotionally distant, Libra. Please see the complete Vulcan and Minerva thread for additional details as to my reasoning. It is very much based on the revelation of the Inconjunct aspect Pattern, that links the entire zodiac before repeating upon itself.

Now this is NOT to say that I am allocating Pi and Phi as numbers for Numerological purposes to Vulcan and Minerva, just that there seems to be a correspondence.

In terms of day to day Numerology, I use the allocations as Linda/Cheiro/Sepharial have given them. One of my Teachers has allocated 11, 22 and 33 to Pluto, Vulcan and Minerva (but I am at work and don’t have those allocations in font of me at present).

For RESEARCH purposes, I am working with the Qabalistic allocations I gave above. I always recommend, as did Linda, that people try ALL the systems and see what works consistently and practically for THEM. The older I get, the more open I get with my ideas of TRUTH. Some Truths (or rather LAWS) are immutable, others I think are veiled in shades of Gray, color of Wisdom.

Kether, the first Sephiroth (the Crown) is White Brilliance. Binah, third Sephiroth (Understanding) is Black. And Chokmah (Wisdom) the second Sephiroth which lies between them on the Tree of Life, is Pearlescent Gray. And so, between the Black and White, we have many shades of Gray… and it seems that very often that is where the Truth resides.

So, by all means… if you are guided to try experimenting with allocating Numbers and Planets (or Signs), do it with a sense of inquiry and Joy. You never know what you might discover. There is much to be said for thinking outside the box, as it were.

I always listen to new theories (with the exception of allocating SIGNS to asteroids/planetoids – and yes, Pluto is still a planet!) and if they make any sense to me, I test them out.

Hope that is a wee bit helpful.

In the Light…

A

Greetings...

Silver... here's a thought. In the list above you mentioned that Pluto was not allocated. Look at #20: The Awakening. Pluto!

The symbol is the Tarot Card Judgment, 3 bodies rising out of their coffins. Pluto has been called Lord of the Underworld... see what I mean?

Just a thought!
