If you draw 'knight of cups' for what someone wants from your friendship, what does this mean?

What does the knight of cups signify as a need?

Was the person from the other sex?
If not, doubtful they want only your friendship, lol.

Yes, the Knight of Cups is one of the cards that seem to just swoon with that "in love/ crush/ infatuation" feeling. It may not last forever, but to me this is like the initial butterflies-adoring-stage.

Omg.

The Knight of Cups doesn't always point to someone falling in love with a person....

It COULD mean that, but it could ALSO mean they would like a peaceful friendship, a friendship of similar faith, a passive friendship rather than an active one, or maybe a drinking buddy!

reminds me of a latent les who couldn't dare to admit what she was and spent her time chasing me to share all sorts of aesthetic and other experiences

[i adore les when they just admit it and live their life which doesn't include emotional intimacy with straight girls]

anyway.... speaking of the knight of cups

candid disposition for sure. yes he is all about a heart open towards you. charming, well-spoken. romantic intentions are very often part of it. prob not necessarily sexual, but romance is there like 90%

True of course... But of the possible 200 meanings... My, my, did anyone ever tell you your skin is the softest ever? Whatever do you use to keep it so soft like petals of a blossoming waterlily. And then the moonlight shining on you... It makes him so artistic... As the matter of fact, He feels greatly inspired, overflown by this moment... He normally wouldn't ask this, but would you mind to model for him right now? If you can sit there then he'll get his sketch book... And he normally wouldn't ask this, but it would just be so perfect if it would be a painting of nature. How we were essentially meant, you know. After all, who needs clothes anyway?
Lol. Sorry.

@andstuff: lol, that's a lovely story. No longer friends or openly discussed at a point?

^ I have a Scorpio SN, remember? So I tend to ditch things [all but one] without regretting. Couldn't find a good reason to feel uncomfortable.

Knight of cups for continuously came up with this one guy. Very romantic, sexual interest/banter/play/flirtation but it never got off the ground for whatever reason. I mean I can think of a few but this is a dreamy card but it's not a card that indicates long term action or rather a film that leads to something stable or more pentacle like.

Holding onto 1 sounds very much like my SN Taurus in 12th behaviour...
So basically I just need to learn to ditch things & that's it?
I'm still suggesting a secret trade of nodes between us, lol. At least that's then one lesson learned in this lifetime...

I noticed that too. Unless there's really good relationship cards in the spread it never get beyond that initial flirtation phase.

by all but one i was referring to my notorious lover everyone is going out of their way to convince me to chuck out of my life, so it's also rather scorpio.

it's easy, you just ditch EVERYTHING and get new things/people/whatever

can't the knight of cups at least point to a proposal/commitment/romantic gesture? think i've seen him meaning these. I agree the focus is on the moment the gesture is made, so no way of knowing whether its gonna last [life's a gaaaaaaaaaas - apparently i'm in the singing mood]

Understood you were referring to him.
I shall sell the lot & move to the arctic.
Yes, think the knight can refer to that and he does feel the love. But normally just needs a big more grounding. Also I actually really like the knight of cups card. Has very good qualities... Was that The Stones?

^ T.Rex

I was thinking that the focus might be on the gesture, not the durational aspect. Think of the Knight of Cups plus 10 pents for example. Like maybe KoC in the 3rd position in Levi's wheel and 10 pents in the 4th or 5th. So maybe one would look for clues in adjoining cards to see if this is fleeting or not.

Like for example there is a question: will I get married? So we have the proposal for sure. If the question is: how does he feel about me? - then the fleetingness might come in. I remember a friend really upset when an ex was trying to woo her back, that card was there, because he pretty much turned into beautiful words (but the truth was he was just feeling bad about himself and was looking for a way to stop feeling that way)

So fleetingness doesn't HAVE to be there does it? Like it might or might not....
