Hi, TW for addiction and debt.

I kept drawing The Devil for about 10 years. I was spiraling, in full-on addiction and was spending all my money. And I was avoiding a lot (The Hanged Man).

I was so upset when I kept pulling it, but there was no argument - it was a direct reflection of my life and where I was going. I still pull it frequently, just not as much. I'm struggling still, but not like before.

Curious to hear if anyone else has pulled this card continuously, and what your interpretation of this is.

Lilith conjunct ASC in Taurus. Mostly fixed/cardinal energy. An emotional Cancer chicka. Pls send help

Yes, I pulled it often too. I figured out my addiction was to not listening to others. I was chained to my own ideology about things related to health.

I gave up all my addictions. I used to like smoking cigarettes, drinking beer, eating burgers... common stuff.

My doctors said to stop, and eventually I did. But I still kept pulling the devil card.

I finally figured out it was because I wasn't *really* listening to them. I wasn't drinking water. I hated water. Now my right kidney hates me.
But I'm drinking lots of it. Doing lots of walking, and I don't eat things that are bad for me.

Hey, thanks for sharing. Even when I'm still doing my best, I keep pulling it. I think my mind is really drawn to avoidance and feeling better quickly (quickly dopamine hits).

How does pulling this card make you feel?

You mentioned dopamine hits, is social media overuse an issue for you?

I don't know why my mind went directly to that. Perhaps it's just the age in which we live. The habits of doomscrolling... the prevalence of shorter and shorter form videos.

You asked how pulling it makes me feel. It makes me feel stuck. As a Sag- I hate stuck. In fact my favorite tarot card is The Wheel of Fortune because things must move or be different in some way, every day for me to retain my sanity. This is why I don't work a 9-5.

But honestly, the Devil card also makes me think of The 7 Deadly Sins for some reason. When I pull it I'm always trying to figure out which one I may be indulging in at the time.

Hello,

Yes I have a relationship with this MF. My dad had a birthday book that had like a page dedicated to each day with random this and that and there was the tarot card for that day..my sister was the lovers and mine was the devil..of course. I'm not huge into tarot but when I do mess with it that devil card is almost always there. My current phone number has a very aggressive 666 in it. I'm a superstitious person so it's not exactly comforting to see that all the time but it's not necessarily bad but just a reminder not to indulge to much in the worldly pleasures. My dad taught me that 666 isnt a number to fear but one associated with Saturn. He also said that when looking at a tarot deck you want to make sure that for the devil card that the people have loose chains on that they could easily take off if they wanted to. Symbolic that we could break free from our demons any time we like, nothing is holding us back but our own free will. I've got my own demons I'm still fighting so that's about all I got, but don't look at it as something negative rather God (or whatever higher power you call it) finds you conscious enough to understand his message and is calling on you to fight whatever demons you got. At least that's how I have learned to interpret it. If you know you are a righteous person overall then don't fear it, just use it as a constant reminder not to let the devil control you. Hopefully that makes some sense
