I purchased a HC edition of Gooberz at a garage sale years ago. Tucked between the pages was a yellow cardstock paper that says:

Love and Magic!
Linda Goodman

It looks like it was written with a marking pen, but it's so darn hard to tell if it is a copy...so does anyone know if this came with book when purchased brand new?

Not sure if the cards were mass produced or each handwritten, but that is how Linda signed her name. I have a HC first edition of Star Signs where she autographed the book the same way.

The cards were mass produced, but that really is Linda's signature.

The first note I ever received from her was written on the back of one of those cards.

So, though they were mass produced, she did in fact use them alot of the time when replying to mail and such, and I think that had she the time, she would have signed them all herself, but with her time constraints, the occasional corner had to be cut.

in a different light, I ordered my purple plates and with them came a card with purple letters spelling out "EXPECT A MIRACLE".

I was flabbergasted. This company seemingly didn't have anything to do with Linda so I was just amazed. I ordered a large plate and a small disc to wear as a necklace.

I made a collage of my Linda things and pictures of Linda and that card is in it.

Well, I had the card from the purple plates but soon after my first plate poofed away, so did the card! LOL I just figured my miracle was on it's way.
