Linda faced a lot of death (much more than her fair share).

Actually, Gooberz is better sipped and savored. It's easy to miss things if you gulp too fast.

It's easy to daydream while you are reading it, and then you will miss things if you don't go back and re-read.

Hi everyone,

I finished reading Gooberz about 3 weeks ago. I read fast - can't help it. I usually, almost 99.9% of the time go back and re-read at a slower pace and take notes. I don't do that with fiction novels that are purely for entertainment; just books that are important to me of which I have many and Gooberz is definitely one.

I cried for one whole day while reading it. Reading Gooberz was an experience - for sure!! I love it.

I mentioned when I first joined this list that it sounded like (based on what people were saying about Gooberz) that it was like a type of recapitulation. Funny - it most certainly was for me - but on a level that I never expected. I also had the feeling that she was perhaps sharing things from past lives and weaving them into the story. I loved the conversations she'd have with Jesus - where she say, I don't want to talk to Christ - I want to talk to Jesus - the man! LOL. OMG - so much wonderful stuff in this book.

Anyway....I'm just now getting around to sharing this.

I agree that this is the kind of book to take your time with. I usually whip through fiction books, but this one.. I'm taking my time with, and pronouncing the words in my head

It's easy to miss things, so if you get distracted, go back and read that part again.
