I thought it would be interesting to post our stories. a few years ago i went to a used book store and i saw Goobers sitting on a shelf.I was immediately in aw the colors picture ect. but when i opened i thought hmmmmmm. I really wanted a book on astrology this was poetry, and it was 14.95 I had only twenty bucks and opted on buying several books instead of this one book. For some reason i felt guilty , but i knew i would return and get it. I didnt even know anything about this book or Linda Goodman i moved away. last year i was reading astrology book recommendations and i kept seeing Linda Goodman so i did a search hoping somewhere i would find some quotes of hers to get a feel. I found Linda Land instead and WOW WOW WOW THERE WAS A TINY PICTURE OF GOObers I thought "thats the book i should've bought." I moved back. I had a dream of the book still sittin on the shelf of that store. I woke up told my hubby i have to go to the bookstore theres a book there for me. I went inside remembered right where to go and there upon the shelf as if sheltered from other buyers just for me Goobers joy of joys i felt like a little girl at............... Christmas. now im only half way through but do you know oh do you know the things ive found out about me and you......................... oh yes of course You do! IP: Logged |

I'm shocked! I finally got back the one I lent out. Whew! ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." Great Story! Linda's books are the only books i've lent out many times and many more times to come! The Story of receiving my Gooberz was so lovely! After I read her book Star Signs, and found Lindaland, I then decided to order Gooberz, off ebay. I received it (the first time) and was delighted when I felt how HUGE it was! I never could tell in the pictures. I read the entire book within a month or two. And then I read Star Signs again, this time I felt the book's wisdom penetrated much more deeply into my receptive Mind. Often, I had urges to read Gooberz again but I suddenly found I had no free time. I was also interrupted with someone I knew who was going through a devistating heart break, so I gave him my Gooberz. Instantly I started missing the presence of Gooberz on my shelf so I decided to order one online, it said it may take up to 8 weeks to travel overseas. Time went by, during which I read Love Signs thoroughly, Sun Signs, and her Star notes. I was practically drooling for Gooberz to arrive!!! But 6 weeks went by since June and I'd forgotten that it should be arriving soon. Then suddenly it was August, on my Birthday, and I awoke from sleep and sat down at my table with tea as I usually do, and then I heard a knock at the door. I suspected it was my mum or friend but it was the post man with a parcel. I was eager to open it because I knew it was a present for my birthday. I was over joyed that it was GOOBERZ!!! And a Gift it was! ------------------ "The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle." Anais Nin IP: Logged |

I have had so many synchronicities where Linda is concerned. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." Funny, I was about to say, did you notice, once you've read Gooberz, suddenly but not unexpectedly, you are receptive to so many more synchronicities? Like all of a sudden they're personified? Most of them still have me in awe! ------------------ "The dream was always running ahead of me. Unfortunately, I dont have a good 'fated' story for finding Gooberz [or it finding me]. I was reading Linda's Star Signs [for the 1st time, I had to read it twice to really understand it] and she mentioned that she wrote a book that had a chameleon-like effect on everyone that had read it. But what was weird was that I didn't rush out and try to go and get it ASAP, I felt like I had to wait to read it, which is odd I think. Usually if i want to purchase something, I go and get it or in this case, go online and get it but I knew I had to wait.IP: Logged |

I dunno, but is this weird? I ordered my book from overseas on Friday night, and got it on Monday morning. This was like normal shipping! I dunno, it just felt weird…in a sweet magical way - Like I didn’t order it - but rather I asked it to come…and it did IP: Logged |

I found it in a small charity shop in the summer when I was ill and in need of cheering up. I'd never heard of Linda, but the cover appealed to me as did the name - Gooberz. Both the cover and the name reminded me of my favourite band Ooberman who have sadly split up. I'm sure they must be have be influenced in someway by Linda's work because in a strangeway their songs share many similar qualities with Gooberz. They remind you of things you'd long forgotten or free up memories you didn't even know you had. I'd no idea what the book was about and because I was looking for something else I nearly left it on the shelf. Really glad I didn't though. It makes me wonder about who left it in to the charity shop though. Can't see anyone wanting to part with it. Oh, and hello. IP: Logged |
