One thing I've learned in life is that people have both good and "evil" to their personalities... as anyone at an astrology site (Linda's anyway) should understand.
And I know I am just an outsider who has just stumbled upon a little "family" fight... I've seen it all on other message boards, although I admit I was surprised and saddened to see it here... but WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?
I came to this thread because although I've read references to Gooberz, I never actually read more than a page of it at a bookstore and I was interested to learn more about it.
Now, I don't know the people/personalities that are at war here... and I don't know the history (other than the 7 or so pages of jabs I just read!) but it's clear to this outsider that all of the "fighters" have done some things to offend others whether intentional or not. I have no idea who has been the bigger *insert favorite insult here* over the course of the history of this board but I have to point out one thing.
This board started out with poetry.
It may not have been perfect poetry, but it was worthwhile poetry that helped me to feel at ease, and gave me feelings of satisfaction at finding a forum worthy of Linda's name.
What followed reminded me of scene I witnessed at a day care only with "bigger" words and slightly uglier behavior.
Don't get me wrong, I seem to be tormented by "demons" more often than not, and many times their words spew out of my own mouth.
And as for playing the "judgement" card, get real, if we are here on earth, we haven't freed ourselves from judgements yet. (And if anyone brings up the big JC in reference to themselves, I will be in danger of getting a headache from my eyes rolling too far back in the sockets.)
I would just like to humbly (sort of) and calmly (sort of) remind everyone that if we are trying to stretch ourselves here, then when we do "judge" someone, we should judge them by their current actions, rather than their past behavior. Which means that if we come across even the biggest *insert favorite insult here* in LindaLand, we should take the time to observe their behavior. If they are planting flowers at the moment... why stomp all over them?This will probably turn both "sides" against me, but ahh well, I'm used to be hated, it's a lonely world eh? One pink morning, a lovely lotus lass was sitting in a scattered garden. She carefully sprinkled seeds in a pattern that was both not her own, and a part of her at the same time.
A fairy emerged from behind a rock and their eyes met immediately with a painful and angry spark of recognition.
"Nice garden," the fairy said, not entirely unkind, but with a twitch of possibilities woven into Words. The fairy plopped onto the rock in a permanent manner and waited expectantly.
The lotus girl promptly chose the possibility that the fairy had arrived to cause trouble in her garden. It wasn't the first time, and she refused to be tender enough to allow herself to be hurt again.
If only the fairy had powered the Words, "Nice garden," with enough faith to reach the lotus girl. If only the lotus girl had chosen to create beauty from the Words, even if the Words came covered with thorns. If only they had joined their magical energies to create a beautiful garden...
I wouldn't be sitting here in this McDonald's parking lot,
breathing exaust,
with my hand in gum.

And if you don't mind me shedding a little light on what you are "stumped" about, Lotus...
Pink was talking about himself throwing in the towel (with a tinge of regret) in reference to him trying to relate to you, not asking you to throw in the towel.
All you need is time, call a truce and give it time. If one party continues to barb after the truce has been called it will be clear to everyone else.No use being blue.... but aren't you glad you have each other to create such strong emotions in each other? My Venus nature asks the age-old un-complex/complex question of "Why can't we all just get along?" and my Saturn nature sees a wealth of resources in a land of enlightened astrologers and mystics... if we all joined together, oh the possibilities... But we need a little rain and a little tension to create as well... so who am I to disturb this process? Just a little winter
breeze
spinning by to stir
up the stale chi... and maybe to find a little company

How I feel;we will watch her

we will make sure she apologizes
when she's hurt someone
we will hold her accountable

and she lashes out to much
even though she stands alone
at this judgement for, well, let's see
it's OK for all the rest this Lotus flower

Hello, Mystic Melody  Thank you for the words. Lotus.. no judge and jury. I have found this to be true of me...
my harshest critic is within.
We all , each of us, want and need to grow.
and Let Go.
I am not waiting to pounce.
I am really not, my heart is open and forgiving, I want everyone to bloom.
As I said before, and all along, my only personal issue is with respect and judgement.
Of course we all judge.. but within respectful judgement lies growth, in forced judgement and preconceived notions is limitation.
I know we are all capable of wonderful things, and sometimes not-so-wonderful things happen first to show us what we really want and need. Right?
I hardly learn until I feel I have failed. Believe me, I have plenty of challenges, but in their face lies opportunity, and the chance to prove and soar.
I plan to improve on the ways I have limited due to judgement ( though these are things I feel I was put here to learn, so they are quite strong in my psyche, I am very sensitive to them....) Peace and clarity for all. IP: Logged |

I wouldn't say it's a "moral" but I think it follows along with my initial comments before the lyrics. When things get bad and the darkness surrounds you, you can't see clearly. Everything looks wicked, even the innocent. It is the nature of the darkness. Sometimes when you are sad or upset, the answer to your problem, or the path out of your pain, is right in front of you, but you can't see it because you are lost in the darkness. This "darkness" can be brought on by yourself, by others, by a lesson... you know what I'm saying.
The thing is... you DO know what I'm saying, but that's the nice thing about friends or a friendly gesture... sometimes you need someone who temporarily has a flashlight to shine a bit of light to help you on your path.
The Universe led me to Linda, Linda led me here, White Rabbit gave me a flashlight, and when I stopped to smell the flowers in your garden, I noticed you were sitting in a little blob of sad and angry fog. Since your pretty singing led me to the garden in the first place, I stopped to share my flashlight.
No more, no less.

You can't force someone to see. Isn't there a proverb.. lead a horse to water, but can't make him drink.. I don't see where conversing and sharing
with an open mind
leads you to believe I am somehow forcing you to be someone you are not....I am not trying to change you, just sharing.. you believe you are right, I can accept that.
You are sharing your words, I am sharing mine. but again and again, it doesn't matter.
