After looking for well over a year plus, for a copy of Gooberz in used bookstores, I am finally waiting for my copy to arrive!

I came across my first Linda Goodman book, 'Star Signs, The Secret Codes of the Universe', and read it, no drank it up from cover to cover, then googled for more info/books and came across this site, found the link to the Star-Notes.com and totally enjoyed reading every single note in one sitting.

While I registered, I haven't posted, but read lots, but not lately, without having read Gooberz, it didn't feel...time, so I thought I might wait...LOL

It's time to join the board!

Astrology/Numerology and healing continues to be a passions of mine since childhood and this spot feels great and welcoming.

thanks all! et bonne journee a otusheartone, a fellow quebecker I note!

Hi Paras, books along the line of Linda's resonate deeply with me, recently read two books by Thomas Moore, Care of the Soul is very good. The Artist Way is a fav (2 weeks no reading anyone?) I enjoyed Yogandanda's auto, I laughed, I cried...(the silver cup story) and felt sad when I got to the part that he cast his body... like Linda...where-ever they are, it just didn't seem time, is there ever when it comes to a Beloved?

Well that there would be more years/living, etc., uttering 'it's a good day to die' like Black Elk (Black Elk Speaks/Neihardt) or Sitting Bull, is not something I want to do anytime soon LOL

It seems most books I love have been written by former monks or the like and for some reason, I love, love foods from that country, am nuts about curry, different spices that can only fill a craving, like Samosas, I joke with my kids I musta been an East Indian in a former life.

My dream life and past lives indicate I was, many times over. Ah well, it's today that counts I mutter to sELF, or does it mutter to me?

I'm suppose to be cooking a chicken dish, I was ready to go until I looked at my toddlers greasy hair, she put something that I can't figure out, a bath took care of that, then she wanted pyjamas on in the middle of the afternoon.

I said, ''we are going shopping, she said 'no shopping, we staying home'! LOL, I'm enamoured with her ways and talk, she's 2 and half year old and having a nap now and I'm here reading and will hop to the store after the nap, for a missing ingredient or two for the dish, otherwise, it'll be Curried Lentils tonight instead.

Back to the Gooberz book...just bills in the mail all week, I am full of anticipation.

I found the a bit of the first chapter on line, here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/1571740600/ref=sib_dp_top_ ex/102-6590824-6500948?%5Fencoding=UTF8&p=S00X#reader-link

Is there a link feature here?

*Okay, that works...so editing a bit after submitting.

Things I write about, I keep a diary/dream journal, I write freely what's on my mind, experiences, etc., out of this material, I wrote a draft of a work book of sorts on career development, life journeying type material and have used it in work shops, my goal is to put in on-line with some of my paintings, some pictures of dreams/visions/feeling I etch quickly in this diary/journal, and when I make time, surprise me, projects come out of it.

I write about 'broken hearts' these days and finding insights of what I experienced and sometimes it's like reading of someone else! I've discovered little material on that subject, like Debbie Ford's, Spiritual Divorce; was somewhat helpful, haven't yet found a wham bam one...open my eyes/heart yet, me thinks that'll come with love and a book called 'Gooberz'.

With Love,

Shiya

Good morning,

My book arrived, it's in, it's in.

Someone near and dear to my heart knew I was in constant search for this book, she hopped on line, e-bay and different sites, pulled out her credit card and ordered it on-line.

She will not let me pay her and insists it's a gift...awwwwww, for my Birthday which is two weeks away.

She just dropped it off and I shrieked in pure delight running across the room to open the yellow package.

It's in excellent condition and a hard back one, thought it was paperback ordered, the plus, it doesn't look like it's even been read either!

Let the reading begin...who else is just starting?

Bonjour et Bienvenue a Lindaland!

Where in Quebec do you live? I am from Calif. but I have a myriad of relatives in Quebec! Are you in Quebec City? My mother is from a tiny village, St-Sylvestre.

I am so glad you have arrived at Lindaland and I hope you enjoy it here!

No, I don't have any relatives that I know of in Ottawa/Gatineau. I think one of my cousins lives in Montreal. Everyone else is in/around Quebec city, or the villages around there.

I was born and raised in California. But we used to go visit every year when I was growing up.

No, I didn't hear that you had an earthquake up there

I didn't know earthquakes even occurred in your area.

Is your area french/english speaking, one more than the other, or both?

Hi Nephthys,

A late reply....yes, odd but true, we get quakes here, but rarely, that last one was ony 4.5, I knew it was one as it happened, the rumbling from beneath you stays with you if you've ever experienced one and when the chandlier started to sway, I jumped up to look outside to see if a dozen or so dumpsters were rumbling by or snowplows!

Apparently this fault line comes or goes? all the way from California!

I'm right at the Ottawa/Gatineau border, this area is very bilingual, more french speakers on the Gatineau side compared to Ottawa, but I like that, I've learned to speak just from getting out and about, and I just left my Ottawa job and started a new one on Monday in Gatineau, my goal is to be more fluent in french!

Wishing all is well with you

Randall,

Yes, I am, I am! I couldn't find my password info and couldn't post a reply and just figured out how to have it e-mailed to me.

A quick up-date:

I finished reading Gooberz over the summer and am looking forward to re-reading it starting January 1st.

As predicted, I knew that I would learn about matters of the heart, relationships and life through Gooberz and Love would follow. I did meet someone one month after reading, who is now my significant other.

He saw my big book on my kitchen counter where I spent countless hours, not that I was counting, perched on a stool, my mini water fountain flowing and I'd burn some wonderful Sai Baba incense, and asked what is that book? What is it about?

Not only him, but anyone who saw it on my counter.

I'd reply, it's a poem about love and life.

Three weeks later, my sister died of double pneumonia and he was/is my rock throughout her departure.

I have never read such a book of someone who could feel so deeply and write about it, it made me feel my emotions with...how do I convey this, with more clarity and depth!

The funny thing with my new beau is he doesn't believe in astrology, yet when we have coffee, he drinks out of his fave Aquarius mug...tells me that he feels that he has 'known' me all his life, like we've been together many many times!

I smile and agree and then some.

This book has inspired me and continues to do so, I can't wait to let the reading begin...again!

I will attempt to post in each Canto chapter under the appropriate threads.

Shiya
