I guess alternate realities may exist, it just boggles my mind a little to much right now. I'm still trying to figure out this reality, never mind whichever other ones there are out there that I'm also trying to figure out...while I'm somewhere else...err, not aware that I'm here right now...oh boy, brain hurting, must take break, ouch

Ever try writing backwards with your non-dominant hand? It's lots of fun, but sometimes makes your head hurt like that. It's more fun to mirror write at the same time though, write from right-to-left with your left hand, and left to right with your right one. You can just feel the brain cells working

People who are married are sleeping in the bed with a stranger. But don't worry, because he/she isn't with who they married either! The Uni-verses are so similar and close in vibration that we are usually much the same people. Although, there could be major personal differences. Ever wonder why some spouses think they don't k-NOW the other One anymore? This might explain it! When you shift, so does your alternate. It would be great if we could control it. It would make for a great vacation to go to Earths that are starkly different from our own!

This has ALWAYS been my favourite theory as to the origins of "extra-terrestrial" visitors, they are actually from this Earth but not our dimension. The parralel_Universe theory states that at every important moment where a choice is being made that could significantly alter either our society, our planet, even our universe, a schism occurs and a separate universe is created for each of the options.
These 'creation moments' can be seemingly as trivial as as someone making a left hand turn and going on with his/her life, or making a right hand turn and meeting Destiny.
Or it could be something of a more Earth-shattering nature like the German Nazi's developing and deploying atomic weapons before the West.
There are Earths out there where there was no planet killing meteor to wipe out the dinosaurs and they evolved intelligence and continued to dominate the planet and our ancestors never rose above the level of 'food-source'.
There are others where you wouldn't know the difference unless you noticed that the letter "B" doesn't exist.

The show "Sliders", was an excellent one and represented the theory extremely well, I wish it was still in production but it wasn't the same after Jerry O'Connell left the show.
Another excellent piece of fiction evolved from ther theory is a book by Robert A. Heinlein called "The Number Of The Beast", In it, the heroes travel in a vehicle of their own design to other dimensions that even include the worlds created by major authors such as L. Frank Baum and Jonathan Swift.
On many of the Earths they visited they encountered a peaceful society of aliens with horns and a forked tail who were not actually alien at all, they were simply a different species that had evolved here on Earth instead of humans.The book gets its title from the fact that in the dimension that is six to the sixth power, to the sixth power, dimensions away from ours this other sentient species of Earthlings is not so peace-loving and are about to start invading other dimensions. Needless to say I highly recomend this book.

Anyway, I think it likely that many {but not all} of our visitors are from other-earths rather than other stellar systems {There are no other "Solar-systems". Sol is our sun!!

This could also account for phenomena such as Ghosts, Angels, and other seemingly "Super-natural" occurences.
There is no "super-nature", just nature we don't comprehend!
So unless you come from the six, to the sixth, to the sixth dimension away from here, Welcome!
If you do come from there, I still love you but go home.

But, you only notice playing one at a time...the games exist and you have/will/are playing them, but only focus on one at a time.

Now multiply that by a SUPRA GENIUS who can think on multi-levels and has a semi-truck full of quarters with several video game rooms...

But when it is all said and done, only one conscious being goes home, takes a shower and sits down to watch tv before going to bed. That being is who had decided to become immortal...traveling the road to and from the games is his path...

And, if he is really really good, he gets to create the games...perhaps after he went to college and studied real hard.

And that being watching tv is also a game in a video arcade...it goes on and on and on...

Perhaps it is after all a circle, and the being one day realizes he has played all the games in town, so wipes his memory and starts all over again just to have fun...or he moves to another town...

Becoming immortal doesn't necessarily take you out of the game, but it does 'bump' you up to a much higher level...and might get you to thinking about that college...

I do know the feeling of feeling "out of sync" with the rest of the planet. I guess sliding is a possible explanation - that never occurred to me, so I'll have to mull it over a bit.

I think part of the problem is the Eternal Now - I understand the basic concept - but trying to understand the fullness of it is boggling me -- I think I'll start a new thread about that so I don't end up hijacking this one....

Eternal Now confusion notwithstanding - if that Karma tape I was talking about on another thread is right (and it did ring Truth to me) what we do in one incarnation can effect another. If all our incarnations are happening NOW, then it seems to me to be only logical that I am one Higher S-elf and one soul spread across time and space.

Which raises another question for me. If my incarnations in this time line can effect each other, can I also effect mySelf across the dimensions? And what of Karma? In this life could I be "paying off" the debt of a parallel dimension that I'm not aware of? If "we" are "me" than it must be. -- Maybe that's why it sometimes feels that I'm paying off the Karma for everyone in the neighborhood -- maybe, in a way, I am. {{Although it's something to think about, which is why I left this paragraph in - now that I am re-reading what I've written, it doesn't ring true.}}
