Wow again..I wonder if it was similar to the story in 'The Others' when you couldn't see them, and they couldn't see you? Or maybe they did see you - hence the hosepipe being dropped suddenly in fright, and the collaboration of 'fear' in the atmosphere making you run? How interesting! Anyone else - whaddya reckon?? ------------------ "In the province of the mind, what one believes to be true either is true or becomes true." John Lilly IP: Logged |

Hi special, pleased to meet you. All I can say is that the fear was tangible. There were two of us,girls, similar ages, 12-13y.o. I don't remember anything else about that particular experience. On another occasion, in the same town, 2 or 3 years earlier, I cycled alone across a bridge on my way home for tea, and the daylight became a very strange colour.Like an orangy brown. I cycled for what seemed like miles, by the side of a river with some windmills and very strange looking houses. All the houses were identical with tubular steel gates painted an unusual pale green. I stopped for a break for a few moments, and a small dog appeared, sniffed my leg, and ran off.Lost again, I thought.I began to panic, as it looked as if it was getting dark, and I would be late for tea. I saw no people, and the tranquility and beauty of those surroundings has always stayed with me. I never wore a watch and had no idea of the time. But it seemed as if I was there for hours, which worried me, as I would be in awful trouble with my Granddad if I was out after dark. I don't recall the seam, when I cycled back into the present. I told my Grandmother about the windmills I had seen. How I was unaware they existed in England. She assured me I must be seeing things, she was familiar with the area for 40 years. There were no windmills.------------------ One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life; that word is love. -Sophocles- IP: Logged |

I'm amazed, becuause I'd LOVE to have your experiences! Windmills, eh? Have you tried searching on the internet to find similar things to what you saw maybe? If you do - post them, it will be sooo facinating to find out 'where' you were! 'The Others' is a film with Nicole Kidman, a film about ghosts and strange time! I won't ruin it for you if you haven't seen it ------------------ "In the province of the mind, what one believes to be true either is true or becomes true." John Lilly IP: Logged |

What worries me now as an adult, is what happens to you if you don't find your way out of a timewarp. Do you age? Live, die? Could you exist at all? Would you be a missing person, who was never found? I often wish that I had picked up something material, looked around the house more instead of running away. Gone and snooped around the barracks. But I remember a great sense of being watched. I wonder also if there are people, like me who have gone into the past, and not returned. In a sense, I feel that this is where we go when we leave this life. I wonder if the occupants were saying to each other, 'Oh no, there's that pesky little living girl again!'I wish I had the answers. IP: Logged |

I wish I knew the answers too Angeldust! I have so many questions about time - but at the moment all the answers seem to be theory. I have put together ideas of what I think may be the case from snippets of information, but need to read more into it. Here's an interesting website you may want to look it, it breaks things down a bit more instead of bombarding the reader with theories; all the other ones are full of relativity etc! I just want to know what's what! http://science.howstuffworks.com/time-travel6.htm ------------------ "Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent." Thankyou for that link special. Ah, it all seems so...scientific! I was just a little girl with absolutely no theories on quantums and paradoxes!Just David Cassidy songs breezing through my otherwise empty little head! I was just there....no time machine, just my rusty aincient little bicycle! Makes you wonder though doesn't it? A 'mere mortal' of a scientist would probably chew off his right arm for a glimpse of what I saw!!! It's as vivid today as it was 30 years ago! IP: Logged |

Ahh... - and also, I've often thought how do we know if we've gone back in time - yesterday for example? Sometimes, scenery like woodlands are relatively unchanging, and from a distance, cottaged housing - even some people look in place today, as they would years ago! I've often pondered these things whilst sitting on my favourite hilltops! ------------------ "Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent." Victor Hugo

You don't know, until afterwards. Which, if you think about it is probably not such a bad idea... Obviously I knew, because the place I visited was no longer in existence. Other than that, well your guess is as good as mine. IP: Logged |

My 2 cents: Especially Gooberly:
That was great thinking. I was thinking about it and remembered a quote from the bible that is a 1000 years is like 1 day in Gods kingdom. Now according to Einstein's theory a moving clock runs slow. This would imply that Gods kingdom is travelling at unimaginable speed compared to the rate at which earth in its universe is moving.
Amazing, I think its possible to find out at what rate it is moving. I have forgotten the equations though. But I always thought God never ages and will always appear young whenever he visits us, as he is beyond time. I am inclined to think of Buddhas principle of non-permeance. Cheers. IP: Logged |

In this universe no particle can exceed the speed of light or a photon. That is the foundation of Einsteins theory of relativity. That is to say that matter would become a photon(light particle) if its travelling with the speed of light. No space ship can ever be build its impossible. But even at 10th of the speed of light that the space ship may travel lots of strange phenomenon is possible, such as returning younger than your twin brother. Or for the older brother measuring the length(lets say moons diameter) will appear longer than someone on earth measuring the same.I always wondered what particle a soul is made up of? If Einstein is indeed correct, everything can be observed and explained. If he is not, I wonder what lies beyond. Scientists have failed to discover a particle that exceeds the speed of light. Do you remember how Mohammed never left his bed side when he wrote the holy Koran. Yet he claimed to have flown across Jerusalem and chosen the place which is now Mecca. So travelling is possible and I don't think you need a space vehicle for that. (I don't recollect but Mohammed is seemingly travelling on top of some bird or is it an animal during his flight). Well I gave you a lead lets see what someone else comes up with. Peace and Love

It is well known that gravity does bend light and speed up time. So, could a time machiene really just be a negitive gravity machiene? And if UFO's really do use magnetic waves to create a false gravity field for the to move(ask me if you have not heard about this). Could they then have also figured this out, time travel? then maybe ufo's are really just time machienes....And then, what about the effects of this false gravity on the occupants of the craft? Could they possibly sheild themselves from the effects? Oh my, I want to go off.... <snip>self edit<snip> Oh my time really is traveling today. IP: Logged |

Time travel? Yes, It's already Saturday, 4:40am in Anadyr, Russia.Altering the past and future? Daylight savings time. Silly Randall. Oh, and I'm time traveling, right now on my computer, all over the world. Wouldn't a particle of the soul be a frequency?
