I personally recommend: "How to have an out of body experience in 30 days" http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0312033559/103-2152569-5659064?v=glance

But I'm probably biased because it's the only book I've ever used, but the exercises helped me when I actually sat down and put some effort in, which turned out to not require that much at all.
