When you write your thoughts on paper you are transforming energy into matter, shaping and forming the contents of the imagination. You are detonating inward atomic explosions of consciousness! The very act of writing will transform your soul as it has changed the world since people first started communicating ideas with symbols. You won’t be the same person after completing a work of literary art. Creativity is a living expression of our unity with the Eternal Creator. Do you want to be one with Divine Being? Then be creative… Unleash the winds and fires of imagination within and fly unhindered into your birth vision. Let the living spring bubble up from the depths! Let the mountains move by the power of your thought. Creative writing is an endeavor that brings life into focus. It is an act of deep centering and soul expression. It holds the possibility of awakening and enlightenment. What more could any spiritual path offer? Find some blank paper or a journal and devote time to inscribing the rhythms of your heart, mind, and soul on those thirsting pages. Write and contribute your verse to the universe, the turning of the Eternal One. Write from the center of your being and express human freedom and creativity. You are an expression of eternal being flowing spontaneously through the cosmos. Live the sacred path. Live the mystery of life… The only battle is within. Can you defeat the enemy of your false self and embrace the true face smiling at the core. The clever critic that blocks the flow of your faith is an illusion you have imagineered. Blast through it and reclaim your creative voice, your creative power. Creation is waiting desperately for the offspring of divinity to be revealed. Stand firm and open your heart. Let the Living Flow of Eternity course through your veins! Be a human being!

--I got this emailed to me from kelly lee phipps, I think she does Astrological education too.

I think the above can be applied to musical expression also, anything where you can be yours-elf!

A couple of years ago I started writing again, and was soo excited. As my nature I told my mom and sis and so on. The next thing I know I received books on getting published. I have not wrote since. When I was just reading what you posted, I think I "blasted" thru the critic in me. It was never about being published, it was about how writing made me feel better. Thanks for sharing!!

That was so great to read!

I love keeping a journal, I write in it most nights. Its so liberating... it clears my head, helps me focus and keeps my creative juices flowing! At the end of the day, to pour out the emotional and mental detritus that builds up in my head coming from negative thinking/general bad days/dealing with people etc. is cleansing and detoxifying for my spirit I think, and I do feel more positive after. So in that way I guess Im kind of an addict, in that it gives me a release.

But high literature it AIN'T!!! It doesnt matter how "good" it is as long as you say what you feel. (As Bridget Jones said: "Its just a diary, everyone knows they're just a font for crap!"

(I'd die if anyone read it though!)

Hi Moonshine!

I'd be slightly embarrassed if someone were to read it too!

But I'll tell you- I do this thing! Everyday I think about the events that took place and I try really hard to find a lesson, everyday no matter how small I find a lesson to write down in a statement or two. At the end of the year I will have 365 lessons!

Hi Neokitty!! Everyday I try to think of lessons to learn from the day and it is almost always love, tolerance along those lines. Being born on the 18th is like that ya know. I think I'll start writing them down too, maybe it won't take so long to get there!!! ILove

I wish I could keep a journal, but my fiance is so nosy. I try to keep an online journal but its not the same as writting with pen and paper.

I was a great emotional writer when I was a teenager, and then I took a creative writing class and have had writers block ever since

Oh my god miss apples - same here. I did a journalism course and lost my ability to write. I criticised myself to point of self-cendure and my brain froze up for a long while. Not good... i still wish i could go back in time. Its partly the reason I started a journal in the first place, to help loosen the blockage.... But i agree, it did more harm than good.

Writing is a wonderful and empowering tool for the heart and soul. Just think about if someone were to send you a card in the mail just to say hi, or for any occasion and vice versa it makes a big impact, it creates a loving human bond between people. Like linda said when you change your name to write it over and over again to establish it in the universe. Also many spells include writing of some sort (no matter how silly some of them may sound) that writing and believing will make an impact.I wonder what the lexi and numerology of writing is .

I hear you, Neokitty. I have been creatively repressed for like 4 years now and just strated writting again. I got a small furry journal that I carry with around with me. It so refreshes me to jot down my thoughts as opposed to carrying them around with me. Its made me mindful of what I think about, leading me to realise that our words are our world.

These are the lyrics from a really beautiful song by a british artist called Daniel Beddingfield, which are I think are apt for this topic.

The song is called Wrap My Words Around You
Is it fair to write a song to a woman?
Is it fair play to try and win her heart?
Is it right to bring her sonnets
In the morning time?
To express the first few
Longings when they start
To express the first few
Longings when they start

Is it right to let her feelings
Rise to catch you?
Is it OK when her heart begins to fall?
Would you blame me if I
Wrap my words around you girl?
Would I wrong you
To say anything at all?
Would I wrong you
To say anything at all?

But if I wrap my words around you
Wrap my words around you
If I wrap my words around you
Would you stay
Would you stay, would you?
Wrap my words around you
Wrap my words around you
If I wrap my words around you
Would you stay
Would it play with your heart?

Am I a hunter if
I send poems to please you?
Am I a cad if
I mean everything I say?
Should I even let you know
This song's about you girl
Just because I want to see you smile today
And my words may bind you
To me much too tightly
You may choke on them if we fall apart
It's not fair to write a song to a woman
Because a woman takes a song into her heart
Because a woman takes a song into her heart

So let me wrap my words around you
Wrap my words around you
Wrap my words around you
Till you stay, till you stay, let me
Wrap my words around you
Wrap my words around you
Darling, wrap my words around you
Till you stay
Would it play with your heart

I love writing and have done it for as long as I can remember. As a kid, whenever I was sad, or in a bad mood, I'd lock myself in my bedroom and write (usually poetry) - or, I'd play the keyboards. Interesting that you mentioned writing and music in your first post, NeoKitty.

I also keep a journal but by contrast to those that have written here, I am writing it for the purpose of handing it down (like an heirloom). It maps my spiritual journey and I would love to leave it as a guide for my children. If something has an impact on my life - it goes in my journal. I write about the books I read, the people I meet, the movies I see, the synchronicity that happens, readings I do, posts I make or read etc. When I say journal, well, there are several of them. All dated so that they can be followed in chronological order.

Writer's block? LOL. What the heck is that? I have the opposite problem - writer's diahorrea.

All this talk of creativity made me want to write so badly so i started doing stream-of-conciousness writing to unblock my mind and a poem just came out! I've never done poem before - poems have always seemed an alien concept to me.

Um, I posted it in Yellow wax and the ants - its not great but...does anyone want to see...? I would appreciate any constructive criticisms you have.

I just got around to reading this. It's all so very true. We are creative beings. Even people who think they arent creative are, in some way. They may not have found it yet, but it is there in everyone. We were born creators.

Now I have to keep reminding my Saturn in Leo that it is okay to "express" itself. I need to get out of Saturns negative hold on my creativity and stop beating myself up all the time.

Thanks neo.

Purple_scorp, thats such a beautiful, inspirational idea

Heck, writer's diahorrea sounds a whole heap better than constant verbal diahorrea

So what book have you written about recently? I love reading and welcome any recommendations.

Thanks for sharing thoughts everyone

Im sure writers-block is a temporary thing, I wish I had some advise to give, I've never experienced such a thing. I'm sure it would pass though miss_apples.

I wonder what causes writers-block?
Maybe there's a sub-conscious reason, or some sort of explanation. hmmm...

I think an inner conflict causes it.

Self critisizing.

I dont think the creative waters ever run dry but I do think we put up a block on their flow at times. Whether we are conscious of it or not.

Yeah I agree.

An unconscious block, or maybe being too exlusive with what you want to write about.

Hey Danny,

a book recommendation....wow, where to start? I have such a wide library. It would depend on what subjects you were interested in.

How about "Your Heart's Desire" by Sonia Choquette? It's about how to work out what you want in life and how to manifest it.

Another good book is Erroneous Zones by Wayne Dyer.

On relationships - Barbara De Angelis "Are you the one for me?"

Right now I'm reading a book on Reincarnation (oh, I forget the author and the book is at home). That's the latest journal entry on books. It has some interesting information about karma.

If you can tell me the types of things you are interested in, then I can give you some better suggestions.

My writers block has lasted for 8 years

I think part of it was that creative writing class. I remember that teacher telling me that my lyrics were emotional and passionate but didnt follow the correct structure and pentameter. As much as I keep telling myself to worry about writing what I feel and worry about structure later...the leo sun and virgo rising in me cant stop worrying about it...lol.

Also I am afraid of my own emotions and expressing them. I dont know if Im afraid of my emotions myself, like I dont want to know the truth or whether Im afraid of someone else getting a hold of my writings. Like I said people in my house are very nosy.

hey miss_apples, I was reading your post, thinking you are probably freaked someone would read it...and then you said it! Personally, I think you get a block when you feel self-conscious. But if you truly love doing something, then it doesnt matter whether you are good or not. Its all about personal pleasure.

Like my singing, Oh Gawd!! I am terrible. But I absolutely love it and as long as I dont intend to inflict, the pain that is my voice, on my loved ones...and the public, then it dont matter.

Im not afraid of people reading it and thinking its bad. I just have a lot of inner emotions that I feel no one needs to know about, including my fiance. And Im afraid that he will find and read my stuff and get the wrong ideas about things. You know what I mean?

Purple_scorp, thanks for the tips I love love love books too. My favourite place right now is Borders. I go in, wlak around collecting everything I see, go up to star bucks for a venti mocha frap, settle into a cosy armchair and indulge. Bellissima.

Anyhoo, I digress. I enjoy reading 'motivational' books but within the context of a story. such as Paolo Cohello's The Alchemist. At the moment I am reading jitterbug Perfume by Tim Robbins. If you havent read it, do. Its brilliant and so, so fresh.
