My first session was positive. I always thought that my ribcage was deformed because the left side was concave and the right side was convex. I thought I was born like that. I pointed it out to the rolfer and she tweaked the muscles and now they are symmetrical after just one session! That was about 4 months ago and I would like to complete the rest of them because I have had numerous injuries to the lower extremeties... knee ankles etc...There is also a slight pelvic tilt that could be the result of a past injury or bad habit or both. Yoga does seem to help too. IP: Logged |

HiI have not been rolfed but would like to do the ten sessions. I have been told by someone reputable that bodywork aside from releasing physical problems can release emotional blockages. This person believes that body work is a more effective form of emotional clearing than psychotherapy. There is evidence accumulating that emotional experiences are stored at a physical level as cellular memory. Rolfing is the deepest massage you can have and I have also heard from people that have been rolfed that the memories that come up during a session are very powerful and then just resolved. Love to know if anyone else has had experiences like this. Love and light Cathy IP: Logged |

Art,It just occured that maybe it's not so good to keep the fact that Kevin injured you a secret from him. I don't know what would be best of course, but the reason I say so is that when I go to get Rolfed I hope that the practitioner is as careful as possible. IP: Logged |

Check your HMP/PPO or whatever your insurance is because I recently heard that some insurance policies are covering "massage" and most Rolfer's are also massage therapists.IP: Logged |
