The Gods of rain and fertility have intercourse with the earth and give birth to new life forms providing a gateway for new souls to enter leaving their evidence in soft morning dew brilliant in colors bursting with every hue red orange yellow green blue indigo violet Stirring the souls of earthlings whose mystical perceptions awaken to recall forgotten intentions grand manifestations a vivid reminder of magnanimous glory the blessings have been given by the rainbow. The earth is alive everything in the cosmos is pulsing with energy the positive, powerful force of infinite creation sharing spreading sheltering connecting all from stardust to beetle. As written at 6 a.m. this February morning, by Nephthys What mystical and spiritual properties does a rainbow hold for you? IP: Logged |

Beautiful, Nephthys! What a talented poet you are!Well, I had a dream about a rainbow the other night. It was a full circle rainbow and when I pointed it out someone told me it wasnt real. ------------------ 99.9999% of what affects our reality will be undetectable by our senses. 22 Degree Haloa ring of light 22 degrees from the sun or moon A halo is a ring of light surrounding the sun or moon. Most halos appear as bright white rings but in some instances, the dispersion of light as it passes through ice crystals found in upper level cirrus clouds can cause a halo to have color. Halos form when light from the sun or moon is refracted by ice crystals associated with thin, high-level clouds (like cirrostratus clouds). A 22 degree halo is a ring of light 22 degrees from the sun (or moon) and is the most common type of halo observed and is formed by hexagonal ice crystals with diameters less than 20.5 micrometers.

****** ********** In the spring, as the days get longer and warmer, we have more reasons to want to be outside (except for pollen sufferers), and so there are more opportunities to look at the sky. If you know where and when to look, on many days you can see colored arcs, bands or circles; these are all part of the halo family. Among the most common of the halos is the 22 degree halo and the parhelia. To get a complete halo (the full circle or ring around the Sun or moon), the ice crystals have to be randomly oriented, so that the crystals are pointed in all directions.
When this happens, at least some crystals are properly positioned in each part of the halo to direct light toward your eye. However, ice crystals are not always alligned in different positions. If they all have a similar orientation, then the refracted light will only come from spots on either or both sides of the Sun. These spots, which can be quite bright, are called parhelia. You often hear them referred to as mock suns or sun dogs. In any case, the parhelia and the 22 degree halo, as the name implies, are always located 22 degrees from the Sun. This is because the ice crystals that form them bend light at an angle of a 22 degrees (minimum angle of deviation). http://www.gsfc.nasa.gov/gsfc/educ/science/1995/041596.htm

Thanks for the links Petron! This was posted previously at: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/001741-4.html sun dog; or dogs of war: These two colorful and luminous spots, at roughly 22 degrees on both sides of the sun, are caused by refraction of sunlight through ice crystals. Sun dogs are most common during winter in the middle latitudes. >>>>see...I thought it was odd to get them in summer and fall.<<<<<<<<<<<<< Sundogs (parhelia, mock suns) are, with the 22º halo, the most frequent of the halos. Look for them, especially when the sun is low, at each side and about 22° away. This is the same distance or more** than the common circular halo.
The ones I saw looked like 3 full suns in a neat row!!!!!! All the same!!!!!!! this one is good...but still not the ones I saw; IP: Logged |

26Taurus! Actually when I had my dream, the very next day....there it was in the sky! A real triple "sun", with a triple halo, of "The Dogs Of War"!!!!!!!! It was rather awesome to say the least! Alot of my friends called me to say..."do you see it too?!" And to ask me if I knew if it was a portent or omen. IP: Logged |

Nephthys This question?"What mystical and spiritual properties does a rainbow hold for you?" Me? The wonderful fleeting and ephemeral beauty of them! The mythos and magical tales about them! I guess I am too logically minded to get alot more meanings from it....but I do see the "timing" of certain ones...especially the ones with the double/triple bows/arcs/circles... and more, as "possibly" being omens and portents.

Fayte! That's very interesting! When the person in my dream said the rainbow wasnt real I felt this immense sadness and the rainbow burnt out leaving a mark in the sky with this halo like ring on the inside and out. It looked like there was a dying sun in the middle of a burnt out ring....really bright and blinding in the middle but the colors were gone from the rainbow. Another interesting dream I had about a year ago was that we lived on the Sun. It's where we are from. Made perfect total sense in the dream. So much that it took me awhile to shake off after I woke up. I dont know if the rainbow I saw was the same kind of thing you saw...... What do you think the omen or portent means? Care to share? Sorry, Nephthys. Didnt mean to take over your string. Just look what youve spiraled! I'll have to think more about what mystical properties the rainbow holds for me... ------------------ When you are one, and suddenly you see the oneness outside, all barriers disappear. Then there is no "I" and no "thou"; then there is only God, or Truth, or samadhi, or whatsoever word you like - nirvana. ~ Osho IP: Logged |

Right before The attacks by the U.S on Baghdad...I saw "The Dogs Of War".Right before 911 I saw weird double lightning bolts...towards the northeast(like...as in New York)at the same time as there was a double ring around the moon. Sunrise the next day...the day of 911 was strange. There were these tiny but oddly bright orange balls within the sunrise. Five of them. I thought..how odd...those balls are in a pentagram like shape or a pentagon shape, the way they are arranged. I thought..something is going to happen in the northeast and perhaps New York. The pentagon shapes in the sunrise did not gel in my thoughts until after I heard the Pentagon was hit. I won the lottery for a $1,000 the day I asked to the "sky"...should I play the lottery? And how much should I bet? Well ...within an hour the rain came and then this double rainbow that lasted a long time! Then I noticed that I had about 20 minutes before it was too late to get a ticket. So I hurried out and spent $2 on a ticket(double/2 rainbow arcs). And I won a $1,000. IP: Logged |

26T ~ What are you talking about? Don't be silly! Of course you can spiral on to other things!!! I only said that 'cos no one answered my question! Your dream about living on the SUN - that is amazing.........I have always felt that the SUN is a strong spiritual influence - maybe it is where heaven is? The intense bright light that people see when they die??????? Maybe it is the LIGHT that is Jesus???? I know every star is a SUN, so maybe each SUNSTAR is a place like heaven/the spirit world? Faye, your precognitions are incredible. You are so lucky you won the lottery ~ one day I had a very lucky Jupiter transit and I bought two tickets but did not win. My mother is a very, very hardworking person, a nurse who has slaved so hard for so long and so much overtime. I always wish she will win the lottery because she always plays and so far has only won like a $1 here or there. She really deserves to win! IP: Logged |

Great poem! ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. NephthysIn answer to your question.............. A deep, profound connection to God. I was raised in the Christian church, however I am anything but, now, however Christian symbolism still lingers.......... In my thoughts, In my mind, In my soul............ A beautiful color spectrum, all colors and one color, Pure White............ Connecting, connected to earth and Heaven................ IP: Logged |
