What nature doesn't do to us will be done by our fellow man.

Truthfully, if I were an alien and I looked around this planet at the wars taking place and people killing each other on the streets of every large city I would consider it a very hostile planet and be afraid to land.

I don't give aliens much thought myself. I have never seen an alien and none have ever been spotted with our present technology. Hubbel looked into the universe and took pictures that gave us more knowledge of our universe. Those pictures were taken looking into billions of light years away from the planet earth. No aliens or evidence of life were detected. Doesn't mean that we are alone in the infinity of the universe but we have never encountered any other life forms on other planets or in space with our present technology.

Just thinking of that fact, no life looking billions of light years from earth by Hubbel, no life in our galaxy but here on on earth, causes me to wonder why we on this planet do not value life more than we seem to do.

If there is other life out there in the vastness of space it isn't likely that they have the technology to get to the planet earth. Even if they do why assume that they intend to invade us or take over our planet? To me that just shows how very hostile we human beings truly can be on this planet. We assume the worst about each other and even about aliens from another planet.

"Alien" is also the term we apply to extraterrestrial beings. Some people have said they have had encounters with ET's. Some people have video taped what they felt were UFO's. I question that. Mainly because there are so many people on this planet who do drugs. I have also seen things in the night skies that I cannot explain which do not behave like normal aircraft. However, I still question that it was a UFO. There are so many things in our own world that we still cannot explain much less the universe. We are still a long, long way from discovering the secrets of the universe, if we ever will, since it is so very vast.

We have a manned space station that is constantly being built on and increased in size orbiting our planet. It just seems to me that if there were ET's out there visiting our galaxy and our planet with hostile intentions the manned space station would be their first target.

Would our government, NASA, make it known to us if they have seen from their advanced telescopes and space missions any UFO's or ET's flying around the universe? Probably not. Mainly because it would instill panic in a portion of the world population. There would also be a portion of the population who would think it was awesome and wonderful to know for certain that there were other beings out there in the vastness of the universe.

Just to show that I was neither making fun of you or being facetious when I stated that I would be afraid to land on this planet if I were an alien, here is a picture that was taken from outer space of the attack on the WTC on Sept. 11, 2001. The smoke plumes of that attack could be seen from space. Now can you imagine what the "Shock and Awe" campaign waged against Iraq in the aftermath of 911 looked like from outer space? I am sure that our government has pictures of that attack on Iraq taken from space too but won't show those. Imagine what the explosions of nuclear tests look like from outer space. This is why I said that if I were an alien I would be very reluctant to actually land on this planet much less live here incognito. It must seem to them that we are very hostile beings. Though I would be attracted to the beauty of earth. From outer space it looks like an oasis. It's a beautiful planet. I would also be attracted to and wonder what that mitten shaped place we call Michigan was all about. LOL It is one of the few states that is very distinguishable from outer space. Florida too.
