I consider myself highly empathic. I have a 1st house Moon (in aspect to Neptune), ruling Cancer on the Descendant. I am a water sign w/ Sun conjunct Venus, and my SNode is in Pisces. Apart from my Moon, all my planets are in the upper half of my chart, which makes me highly aware of other people. My experience is that I cannot pass another person on the street without acquiring something of their demeanor or facial expression. I've always known what is going on inside people without having to ask, and, often, without looking directly at them. Until I was in my teens, I thought everyone was this way. I am generally the person my friends turn to for comfort, understanding, sympathy, compassion, counselling, and advice. I have trouble sticking up for myself, putting up boundaries with people, and getting off the phone, because I have difficulty separating my feelings from the feelings of others. My heart goes out to the underdogs, and to anyone in pain, and my anger is generally checked at the slightest cry for mercy."I still can’t get over the frustration, the guilt and empathy I have for everyone. There’s good in all of us and I think I simply love people too much, so much that it makes me feel too ******* sad. The sad little, sensitive, unappreciative, Pisces, Jesus man. Why don’t you just enjoy it? I don’t know!... [It] seems so easy for people to get along that have empathy... I love and feel sorry for people too much, I guess. Thank you all from the pit of my burning, nauseous stomach,... peace, love, empathy, Kurt Cobain" - from Kurt Cobain's suicide note http://imagine.blogintro.com/351/kurt-cobains-suicide-note Who has empathy to hear, let them hear. -------------

I am empathic too and sometimes it turns my life into real hell, I am still to learn how to protect myself. Here's a forum for empaths, very interesting and helpful: http://empaths.tribe.net/?_click_path=Application%5Btribe%5D.Tribe %5B7ec75b96-318a-4c18-863e-889c693d8c46%5D IP: Logged |

Yeah I notice that too, and angry and depressed and frustrated. When I am out I try to smile at folks who are emanating and projecting and say something like, " crappy day huh?"....and many times perfect strangers will pour out their woes to me. I can feel their mood change and often get a hug from them. The next time I run into them they smile or talk more to me. But some folks are just creepy! This type thing has happened to me many times. I will be in a store and suddenly get a very cold vile feeling from a person and I leave immediately and try to warn the clerk or cashier something feels wrong. After I leave the person projecting the creepiness will rob the place or attack someone! So I feel people very easily but get away from the cold or violent feeling ones asap! ------------------ ~Judgement Must Be Balanced With Compassion~ ~Do Not Seek Wealth From The Suffering, Or The Dire Needs Of Others~ ~Assumption Is The Bane Of Understanding~ ~ if you keep doing what you did, you'll keep getting what you got.~ }><}}}(*> <*){{{><{ ~~~ ~~ ~~~~ ~~~ ~~ ~~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~ ~~~ IP: Logged |

How much of this is mine? "The collective energy generated from the feelings, thoughts, and attitudes of the almost six billion people on this planet creates an atmosphere or 'consciousness climate.' Surrounding us like the air we breathe, this consciousness climate affects us most strongly on energetic and emotional levels." -- Doc Childre and Howard Martin Feeling angry, sad or anxious? You might ask, “How much of this is mine?” Those of us who are sensitive sometimes pick up on emotional, mental or physical energy in the environment. It feels like ours – we really do feel the emotions or physical or mental symptoms. But really, we are processing ‘generic’ energies that belong to others or to humanity as a whole. Opening to the possibility that our experiences may not be completely ours helps us detach from them. When we don’t completely identify with our thoughts and feelings, we gain power over them. I don't know if I'm empathic, but I can always tell what people are thinking. I have telepathy and can sense when people I know are nearby me, before I see them with my eyes. I can also tell when someone (even and especially if I haven't seen or talked to them in a long time) is thinking about me.I have dreams that come true sometimes and I can tell what will ahppen way too often for it to be coincidence. Lately, I've been trying to suppress it, because it makes me uncomfortable and I'm tired of it. It's a burden. I wonder if that's why I feel ill a lot lately. All that energy is being suppressed... ------------------ Sun Aqua, Moon Sagg, Asc Taurus IP: Logged | |
