Inspired by NAM's post about healing hands, I wanted to ask about a strange occurence involving energy that I haven't been able to understand yet.
I have a Scorpio friend who is sort of a best friend/brother/ex-lover all wrapped up in one. We have a very powerful psychic bond- communicating in dreams and so on and we're both very interested in spiritual healing but have had no formal training. He has the ability to "see" inside people, if he places his hands on them, he gets a lot of images in his mind which are coming from the other person.
One day I wasn't feeling well and I asked him to try and "heal" me. We lay down on a bed and he asked me to tell him exactly when I start feeling something from him, because he's trying to learn more about it. So he placed his hands on me and at first I really didn't feel anything. Then he changed position and almost immediately I felt my heart sort of beating out of my chest but not in an unpleasant way and I started to shake. Within a minute I was so overwhelmed that I sat up suddenly and tried to explain to him what I was feeling. It was probably better than any orgasm I've ever had- I felt electricity all through my arms and fingers- and when I brought my hands together it was even stronger- I could feel all of this energy in the air- shapes and materials- it wasn't just air but the best part was this electricity throughout my body. I explained it to him and he told me he'd had a similar experience- only he was on LSD at the time and he thought he was just 'tripping'. After about five minutes, it slowly went away, until it felt like there were little ants scurrying across my fingertips and then finally it was completely gone.
Ever since (this was about two months ago), I've been obsessed with bringing that feeling back, learning about it and learning how to use it.
Could anybody shed some light on this topic?
This is the kind of thing Lindaland is so great for, as most people whom I try and explain it to ask me if I was on drugs at the time or tell me I'm creating it all with my mind.

Wow. That's an incredible experience you had; your sharing of it is appreciated.

Are there any other healers here who can relate what happened?

Other healers to discuss this with are the best bet. I know there are a few here, but it's just a case of who is around at the Time, time for the computer etc.

I would love to learn about healing too.

Zala~Are you talking about holding your own aura in your hands?
I was reading "hands of light" and that was one of the exercises that she shows to be able to feel your own aura, which it feels like energy.
One of my psychics/healer recommended this book to me.

See, Whiterabbit these are the small things I am telling you I have been experimenting with that make me feel like I am stuck between fantasy and reality.(you have to read my other post at health and healing forum to make sense of this )

No, it's energy gathered/concentrated from the Universe, to be used --
not a "part" of me as my own aura is.....
I am merely a conduit, a focal point, for energies that are out there for us *all* to make use of to help heal ourselves, and heal others.....

I wonder if everyone uses or has a different color?
Mine is red violet to deep Cobalt Purple.
My husband's is Deep Azure blue to nearly white electric blue.
I've seen others with Orange/Tangerines, and shades of green.

NAM- this spiritual healer that I went to recommeded Hands of Light to me as well- he said that the school he went to used it as a kind of textbook.
fayte- maybe it has to do with the chakras since they are all said to vibrate to different colours- purple would be third eye, blue is the throat and orange would be the sacral chakra.. perhaps..

Yes, as I said I haven't finished with the book, I kind of drift off to other issues in life that has me pre-occupied, but I would like to finish it sometime.

It is like a text book because after every chapter there are questionaries, exercises and so on.There is so much information I can not relate to because I can not see auras that it is hard to follow, so I was thinking once I finish the book I would go back and read it this time as a text book and do the exercises and so on.

She does claim that those beams of light are part of our own aura and in fact those are the first steps to be able to see the aura, she also says that everyone has the capability of seeing it but my skeptism tells me that is far from truth, but never the less I will give it a shot since I have nothing else to do LOL
I am kind of in the time of my life where I welcome anything "out there" and would like to beleive there is more than what my life was before this point.Which it was a linear life, black n white.What you see is what you get nothing more nothing less.

We'll see.
