Where did Linda learn her Numerology and where can I learn more? I have read Star Signs and gotten interested further.

I wish I still had my copy (I lent it to my mum). I'm sure there's a section at the back called "For the Pilgrims Progress" which contains a list of books to learn more.

Why not check out this thread to relate your experiences so far: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/003143.html ?

Happy traveling,
Dean.

Linda mentions Cheiro in the chapters on numerology. His book is Cheiro's Book of Numbers". I got it from my city library.
There probably are other sources she used.

Greetings...

You could try:

1) The Kabala of Numbers by Sephariel
There are many different systems of allocating the letters to the numbers and this book covers many of them.

2) Numerology: With Tantra, Ayurveda, and Astrology by Harish Johari I think he uses the Chaldean system as taught by Cheiro and Linda as well.

3) Numbers and You: A Numerology Guide for Everyday Living by Lloyd Strayhorn I know this book teaches both the Pythagorean Systems and the Chaldean.

The thing to remember is that the meanings of the Numbers are the same in both systems, though different authors will present differing planetary allocations (I use Cheiro's/Lindas and they do work).
However, that is not to say I do not see some merit in the others allocations - it all provides food for thought.

I say, as did Linda, that you should TRY all the systems and see what works for YOU. Do not fall into the trap of believeing that only ONE system of anything is correct. Remember, as the Master has said: " In my Father's House there are many mansions..."

All systems work... it just depends on what works in YOUR experience. And of course not all systems are meant to work in the same way. For example, I have found that the Pythagorean system works very well in a mundane, 9-5, practical sort of everyday way. It tends to show what we see on the outside.

It has been my experience that the Chaldean System is more esoteric and symbolic, and tends to describe well what goes on "behind the scenes".

This may or may not be your experience, but at least it should provide some fuel for the fire.

Best Wishes and Blessings...

A

P.S. Jai, Linda not only mentions Cheiro's Book of Numbers she used it as her primary source for her Numerology chapter(along with the Sepahriel book mentioned above), as that was the book that she used when she was keeping her notebook all those years ago. Many passages are taken verbatim from the pages of Cheiro's book.

Glynis McCants has an interesting numerology book called "Glynis Has You Number". She uses the Pythagoras Number System.
