Hi guysIf one thinks of living in a particular country, as has been thinking about it since childhood, could it be possible that he/she is having past life recollections of that country. I mean, if one has an intense desire to live in another country, could it possibly mean that person lived in that country in a previous life? Or could it all be down to media bombardment of that country ( ie news, travel programmes etc)that one feels the need to live there? IP: Logged |

fieryscales, I have always been drawn to Ireland, I remember as a child the first time that I heard the name it was so familiar and brought with it a sense of homesickness!I want to visit and see how I feel while I'm there. The south of France has always intrigued me also. Great! question...

I'd like to think that it's possible. Some poeple have said its not what your drawn to that points to past lives, it's what you fear, or hate, or dispise etc. However, I feel it's possible ... otherwise WHY would we be drawn to such places? You mentioned the media ... what of examples such as Char's @ such a young age? When I was in France we walked thru many churches and cathedrals. At one particular one, there was a grave yard out back of the church. The church sat up on a hill, like most of them there. The graveyard was cut into the back of the hill. Very small compared to our graveyards here. Everyone stood atop of the hill taking pictures but something called to me in that graveyard. I took a stroll thru ... nothing really grabbed me as I read the names on the tombstones. It wasn't until I was descending down the hill that I began to have heart palpitations and shortness of breath. (It was more like a steep driveway, so i wasn't exerting myself) It took me approx. 10/15 minutes to calm down and catch my breath. My then BF was pretty nervous which didn't help the situation. Later that evening I couldn't shake the thoughts of what had happened up there. I explained to my BF how it had felt as if someone or something was pushing on my chest as I was descending down that hill. He questioned "Do you think its possible you have past life connections there? Or someone was trying to STOP you from leaving? (pushing on my chest from the front as I was walking away from the graveyard)He really sparked some curiosities. I believe it was past life related. I didn't feel on vacation, and surely didnt feel as if I was on foreign soil. France felt like HOME while I was there. IP: Logged |

angel_of_hope,One of my best friends felt the same way while he was visiting France, as if it were home, he told me that if he ever lives anywhere else, it will be there. When I was 6 we moved to Arizona and while we were traveling through New Mexico, I saw this grotto of Mary quite a distance from the road, I felt as if the world were moving in slow motion as we passed it. I knew that I had been there before, my first experience of Deja Vu related to a place. I am terrified of New Mexico and every time I have had to travel through it, I couldn't wait to get to the other side. The weird thing is, I'm also drawn to it at the same time! When I was in my teens an exchange student from Holland and I became close friends, she went and stayed with a family in New Mexico, and she also felt a very vivid sense of Deja vu about the state. She told me that she dreamed she and I had lived there around the mid-eighteen hundreds and were sisters. While she was relating her dream, I almost had a panic attack. Very weird, but I believe in reincarnation so not too weird for me! :-) IP: Logged | |
