quote: personally, I can't stand mediocrity. I would rather a person stand out for something than to just blend with the background. We all have talents or vices, skills to make us shine in some form or another, so to be mediocre is to stifle your god given gifts of individuality. I say, shine in whatever manner you wish. Don't rob the world of your goodness. You were born for a reason, and you don't have to be a mega star but even in your community, make some sort of contribution based on your skills. Let people know themselves relative to who you are, meaning, some people may react by saying: I don't want to be like that, while some say, I would love to be like that. Whatever the reaction, being yourself and letting it shine teaches and helps people know themselves better. My mom is not famous, but every person knows her as kind. That is how she stands out in our neighbourhood. Some people are funny, or sarcastic, or whatever. Be you and be proud of it and let it show because you will inspire someone else to fear less of being themselves.

You love me BlueRoamer. You hate me BlueRoamer You are indifferent to me BlueRoamer. None of the 3 statements make or break who I am and the impact I leave on the world.
I may be important or obscure, depends on the person deeming my worth. Yet my energy will/does make an impact regardless of the limited insight of BlueRoamer ------------------ ~ What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world is immortal"~ - George Eliot IP: Logged |

OH! Brother BlueRoamer and Homeboy praecipua, i indeed RLY said limited. Love hate indifference is an illusion WE earthly fools use to lable our emotions. There was also this one guy whose life was way before any of our documented histories. He was practically a bum (by our standards) but he was the first person ever to dance. There wasn't even music back then.Incredible. IP: Logged |

Hrmmm...Those little fellas are darned cute, but I can't say I've ever remembered being a bird. When I was a kid, I do remember having an extremely strange experience when I was playing. In contrast to my surroundings, I could see a completely different world around me. I was also, apparently, some kind of dinosaur. It could've just been my imagination. IP: Logged |
