well, regardless of whether it's new to this board, it is new to me. so thanks peri. i found this to be a fantastically inspiring read which removes so much of the convoluted theory and instruction from the issue and distills it down to its very simple core. and fayte's thread is sooo long its hard to get through. so for anyone who hasn't been here for years, cheers!IP: Logged |

Yeah it is. My message got rather lost in betwixt others, and segues and fights. And a few have been banned from here for bad behaviour. Oh well. Maybe I should post my views in my LL blog at "Know Two Are Alike"? LEXX (formerly fayte.m)PS.Additionally please do not confuse my outlook with the author of that book. My take IS NOT THE SAME AS HIS from what I have seen in excerpts! And does he want folks to get off the wheel of life and rebirth? If so, then I definitely disagree with him even more. ------------------ Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

no,lexx, i don't think so. the decision is all yours...i don't agree 100% with anything i have read on the subject but the general gist and some of the particulars of this one are so resonant with me it was elating...unfortunately human authors always have that little (or large!) bit of ego to push them off course SOMEwhat. >>>fayte's thread is sooo long its hard to get through.Agree with you. Even if you did get thru , those views must be as old as loaf of bread gets old. I am sure everyone has something different to say today as we are new each day. Going back to the title of this thread, "Stepping of the wheel of pain and struggle" . It is possible and a psychological break thru is required. When there is no suffering , there is joy. We create our own hell (our own problems). Since we create it, we cud end it. As simple as that. Karma is the indian world for "responsibility". Nothing more to it. The choice is always upto us. But one has to be the most "ordinary" and mind it i didn't say be "extraordinary".
