Does anyone like the Russian cinema; Nightwatch/Daywatch films?
I have heard of them and hope to get them through inter library loan.

Lexx, howcome what the bleep annoyed you? If you don’t mind me asking ☺
Having studied such subjects by way of books, my own personal research, from many different angles, scholarly, psychically, spiritually, logically, scientifically, and so forth....
well the movie was rather boring to me...moved too slow...and too "Reading Rainbow" styled, and had nothing to say that I was not already familiar with already and had been for many decades to date.
I guess disappointed would be a better opinion.

Enlightenment intrigues me though… will keep my eye out in the movie. I saw you wrote in a topic about having a ‘guru’, did you seek this or did this ‘just happen’?

Mannu (quote) ‘The relation of chemical harmones interacting with light to produce what we actually perceive was also brilliant.’

I agree. I enjoyed wtb, and I see your point as well lexx, but I was delighted to see it in my local library, I work there and I find many people so ignorant of life; I think it is a good introduction to quantum-reality for those with a little intrigue, it’s a bit ‘school-type-documentary’ but I found some of the info inspiring.

They’re a good watch, really, I love Russian cinematography, the two worlds are paralleled so well, they are such visually amazing films…definitely worth a view.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Watch_(2004_film)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_Watch

and I didn’t realize theres a third due out this year called Twilight Watch. ☺

Lexx where are you from btw?

(and worth a look aswell…Japanese manga animation; …Karis . is AWEsome has two parts, they are so ahead in their thinking, spiritually, visually. A feast for the mind. ) !

Thank you for understanding.
My opinion is for myself personally. I can see how wtb would be something entirely new to most folks. Hopefully at least some will look into it scholarly/scientific theory wise and not only from a pseudo-science new age view.

"Mindwalk" I felt was much better.

The movies you mentioned...I will be getting them through inter-library loan next week!

I was from Pennsylvania but am in Ohio now.
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
Are you a male or female?
Have you posted your chart and any pictures yet?
Is that your website on your profile?
I like the comic art the best!

Manga/Anime....
like some/hate some.
The stories are often cool but certain styles of artwork are too simplistic in some...others wonderful!

I helped my husband write a book on graphic novel collections in libraries (for teachers and librarians).

Thanks again Ariefairy!

no worries there lexx i do see your point...

I haven’t heard of ‘Mindwalk’ , is it good? ah im glad…I hope you enjoy them!

Do they have bats in Pennsylvania? Hehe... no, that’s Trannsylvania yes?

I am female, from Southend in England (Essex county) but, I now reside in East Anglia/(Norfolk county… the flattest land in England!)…both near the sea though...

no and no…but I will when I get the hang of it ! and yes that’s my personal website, its very new, so not much on their yet my scanners ill, just the basics but thankyou (that’s my first attempt at a comic…im hoping to finish my META series soon…)

(quote) I helped my husband write a book on graphic novel collections in libraries (for teachers and librarians)...

So you know a few things about graphic novels then

On the manga/anime…I agree with you totally on that one, you get the sparklers every now and then, like Karis… but with some of the simpler artwork, I do find the narratives very aluring, but some i just can't get into…one good series which I got addicted to watching is S Krei Ed (will confirm spelling later…can't find box, am not fluent in japanese spelling )

! its a pleasure talking to you Lexx

It is a pleasure talking with you too Ariefairy!
Bats in Pennsylvania and Ohio?
Oh yeah! They fly out of my chimney at twilight.
It is lovely watching them!
Transylvania...ha ha...but seriously...my step great grandmother who lived with us when I was a teenager was from there.
Your area of England sounds lovely! Are you in the country or city?\
By the sea! I love the ocean!
I am near Lake Erie though, and its pretty big for a lake.
Your comic art is very good!
I wish I were better at it because I have manuscripts I would love to become both novels and graphic novels!
So many graphic novels have become movies!

As to graphic novels;
I like the Sandman series, by Neil Gaiman, Clan Apis, Maus, Letters from Sarajevo, Bone...and many many more!
Did you know that these movies began as graphic novels?
Road to Perdition
Sin City
V For Vendetta
and of course a whole lot more!

Thankyou Lexx ! Hehe I didn’t realise Transylvania was a real place. Lake Erie sounds cool…is it as big as the loch ness?

Yeh its quite nice here, I live on a small coastal town, it’s a very sleepy place…not a lot happens…they are building a harbour though, so the beaches will be veryyy busy! It’s classed as the country here, lots of farms and stuff…but its flat country, not like the rolling hills of the Cotswolds at all. I love being by the sea though, we have beautiful sunrise views, (and sun sets over the Broads), im pretty lucky really.

oh I love the sandman comics…esp the artworlk of Bill Sienkiewicz. I just borrowed Neil Gaiman’s ‘smoke and mirrors’ short story book from the library, its good so far!

I knew V for Vendetta, and (Sin City, I am a fan of Frank Miller)…didn’t know Road to Perdition was though!

(quote) ‘because I have manuscripts I would love to become both novels and graphic novels!’ !

...have you got any on hard copy? Id love to see! One of my dreams is to create a graphic comic novel, and make it into a film. Using the visual to share knowledge and inspire. Have you ever read the comic ‘Hewligan’s Haircut’ ? Its awesome!
