Have you ever tried mushrooms? I want to. My sister said she could see the leaves on trees talking to one another. Now that has got to be good. So can you explain the rabbit hole thing? Is it a euphemism? What am I missing?IP: Logged |

It is a movie, round 04, it came out.M 20 year old discovered it last year and I just got around to watching it. It explains quantum physics and theories as quantum mechanics are applied to humanity especially to neurology and spirituality. It is the best cinema I have witnessed in years! http://www.whatthebleep.com/ I am really suprized nobody here knows what I am talking about. IP: Logged |

It has been mentioned at LL several times. Here are a few. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum18/HTML/000529.html http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/003214.html http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum7/HTML/003748.html http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/003539.html Personally I did not like it. I found it very boring. Nothing new, just the same old theories/concepts done up cutesy style. However... I can see how some folks would like it though, as its concepts and theories might be "new to them". Too "Reading Raninbow" for me. I prefer Mindwalk, or PI. However I found those to be too simplistic even. Again, for me personally. I am not knocking anyone else for liking WTB. Few find such topics to be a normal source of everyday conversation nor regular reading/study material as I and my offline friends do. On another note...I am being quite serious here btw...being high whilst watching WTB might be the way to go for some folks.. ------------------ Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain. sorry, but that was funny. And no offense but, I agree. Similar to The Secret movie. Can see where it might be a nice primer for some that are new to these concepts though. IP: Logged |

hmmmWell, I do see how some folks would not like it, it does take a bit of elevated intelligence to get the concepts, and no, they are not new concepts to me, funny how I have intuited such things since a tiny girl. I did not post here to recieve negative feed back, only state my opinion on the flick, which I enjoyed very much, but then I am able to think outside of the box, so to speak, and consider all possibilities of this human existance. My granny once said "don't say anything about (anything) or (anyone) unless you can say something nice..." And what a FINE SCORPIO lady, she was. Witches tend not to return to the place of hanging. hippichick.. quote: Well, I do see how some folks would not like it, it does take a bit of elevated intelligence to get the concepts,
My IQ is well above genius level. So not all with "elevated" intelligence would like it. quote: and no, they are not new concepts to me, funny how I have intuited such things since a tiny girl.
Good for you! But for some it is new. quote: I did not post here to recieve negative feed back,
Simply my not liking it, is not negative feedback. I don't like most Disney either, but that is only my personal opinion and taste...NOT negative feedback. quote: only state my opinion on the flick, which I enjoyed very much,
As I stated my opinion...and I am sure I like movies you do not like. THAT IS NOT NEGATIVE FEEDBACK!It is only stating personal like or dislike. quote: but then I am able to think outside of the box, so to speak, and consider all possibilities of this human existance.
As do I. You have no idea how outside the box I do think. I simply do not post my most radical out of the box/outside the box concepts here. Sorry my simply voicing my opinion offended you. That was not my intention. ------------------ Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain. IP: Logged |

>>>Well, I do see how some folks would not like it, it does take a bit of elevated intelligence to get the concepts, aExactly , that elevated intelligence is wisdom. You see even Einstein missed the implications of Quantum mechanics. He died an egoistical death. Believe me I have solved quantum mechanical equations at school and derived Einsteins theory of relativity. If people really understood what it implies or does not implies they would have indeed loved it. Each dialogue was a revelation. Science meeting God. I mentioned this several times, people hardly watch a movie for dialogues these days. But those narratives were said with such clarity. I bet the narrators were mixed bunch of people (mostly buddhists and scientist) ....i bet hardly few christians. It gets the award for being the first movie of its kind i.e Quantum spirituality .... I have lots to add to the contents.... some other day. The reader has to enjoy the equations as they enjoy poems. Just brief background introduction is required before going deeper. >>>And what a FINE SCORPIO lady, she was Most scorps I know are so dead serious.

This is why I said "no offense". I had a feeling saying I didnt like the movie and mentioning what I thought LEXX said was funny, would be taken personally. The concepts were not high and in need of a bit of elevated intelligence to understand. It was all pretty plain and simple imo. To each their own! quote: being high whilst watching WTB might be the way to go for some folks

And by that statement...what are you implying? I thought it was directed at me.... the offense bit so wanted to clarify. My error....sorry for the confusion. And this is NOT true. quote: Exactly , that elevated intelligence is wisdom.
I have known some mentally handicapped people with very low IQs who were exceptionally wise....and some with high IQs (intelligence)who had no wisdom or common sense. Elevated Intelligence does not equal wisdom automatically, nor is a person of lesser intelligence automatically lacking wisdom.Your comments on Einstein.... quote: You see even Einstein missed the implications of Quantum mechanics. He died an egoistical death.

I totally agree! As I said; "Reading Rainbow". Which by the way I feel was a good primer for kids just as WTB is possibly a good primer of sorts for people. It simply was not interesting to me..nothing new presented.... so yeah...it bored me. That is not a negative, just how I felt about it. IP: Logged |

I replied to this thread because even though the movie bored me........ I DO WANT TO READ THE THOUGHTS/OPINIONS FROM FOLKS ON THE "concepts" presented in WTB! So please tell us your thoughts. Who knows....someone here just might have a novel refreshing concept! ------------------ Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain. IP: Logged |

I know, same here. Nothing to get upset over and imply that people who dont like it have a lower level of intelligence. I had a feeling something like that would be coming. Speaking of, Mannu, have you read Intelligence by Osho? One of my faves by him. I read it in one night a few years ago. Highly recommended. IP: Logged |

Can you see how the responses by people who do not feel the same way about the flick may not actually be "negative" and just different opinions and not an attack against you personally? I think most of the members here have a tendency to "think outside the box".

Hippichick - I understand your feelings, you did not want any negative comments. I have been going through a similar though process recently: of initially forming a meditation group locally where it will consist of only eastern minds. Having one western mind just impacts the whole group and disturbs them. It could be very annoying to the rest.>>>Speaking of, Mannu, have you read Intelligence by Osho? No. I heard about that book. I am taking his books as it comes to me. I heard they were all spontaneous lectures from him -- some from which one can write 5 volumes of harry potter from a months lecture lasting 1.5 hour each day. Unbelievable. Now that to me is the highest intelligence possible.
