Nayyy. That desperation comes with knowledge alone. If there is love the hollow doesnt make us that desperate (ofcourse with little endurable karma also). What makes us desperate is the lack of knowledge by others around us. Then that impelling feeling/need to help others to open their eyes drives us, makes us desperate. (This is not my direct experience but the one of persons i am acquainted with who have reached this stage of awareness). 'Wake up Wake up' they go shouting from roof tops and nobody cares. Then they suffer for us and make us climb the ladder. What a desperation! IP: Logged |

The thread lives I don't think that desperation exists after transcending duality. In my opinion, it is a sign that duality was not truly transcended; or that it has happened in a certain moment in "time", but that the person chose to go back to living in duality. The memory of transcendence fades anyway in linear time, at least that's my experience. In this particular case, desperation would come after judging a situation and classifying it as "bad" (people who are not "awakened"), as opposed to a "good" one. Transcending duality would imply not classifying different paths and realizing that every path is the "right" one for that person in that particular moment in space and time. IP: Logged |
