Does anyone have out of body experiences! Can you tell us about your experiences. Where can you go, what can you do? Can you teach us how to do it? It's so fascinating!! IP: Logged |

I think I've had a few...not sure but 3 times I've had things happen where it didn't feel like a dream but no way it could really happen. I meditate sometimes and never had one on purpose (yet??). But I will hear unexplainable noises sometimes when I lay down to meditate. Just read Robert Monroe's book "Journeys Out of the Body" and got his second book in the mail today. Since I have the summer off I really want to try and get more into meditation. IP: Logged |

OBE's are great! One day last weekend, my 4-year-old son had his normal everyday nap. Afterwards, I planned to take him to a park he had never been to (it's a new water park open not-to-long ago). We left the house and when going down the road to the park he says "mommy, why are we going down this road, I was just here". I said you "you were... when?" and he says "you know, earlier today". As we were driving down the road and came to a stop to turn, he says "you turn right mommy" and I said "how do you know? you don't know where we're going, it's a surprise". His response: "...yes I do. The water park is down the road, I was already there today, this is how you go". Out of the mouth of babes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I understood what just went down... and explaining it to him will come soon, after I explain to my ex what happened (he's on vacation and he's not-so-open to metaphysics). Wish me luck! I have stories of OBE's of my own and will share soon, but I thought I'd share my 4-year-old's first... eternal IP: Logged |

Hi eternal that's a cute story! I reminded me of domes post here on LL (probably in astral realm about De ja Vu) it was someone's theory that we have the ability to time travel in our dreams usually a few hours or days in advance and that's why we remember these experiences like your son discribed.I guess fairy22, I would start with researching lucid dreaming. I have not put much effort into this myself, but I know people that have. One trick is to set an alarm for 90 min or so, drink a glass of water, and go back to sleep. It's worked for my friend anyway...but personally I don't like interupted sleep, lol. Hope you find what you're looking for IP: Logged |

I kind of forced myself to lucid dream one night listening to an audio I found online. I just really wanted to experience what it was like and surprisingly I have good focus because I actually did it. It's not exactly that I could dream what I wanted to dream about even if at certain seconds that occurred. It just felt like a deep tantric meditation. It was a better meditation than the one I've ever tried to do while waking. My body became paralyzed, I couldn't move it. I remembered all the dreams I did have if I was dreaming. I felt how the body records information because each dream didn't just occur they transformed from a linking visual image or sense stimuli of a brief dream before that. Other times I just saw colors and patterns and movements I couldn't recognize. Sometimes it felt like my soul was detached from my body spinning or floating. I felt vibrations. I don't know exactly how to describe it but it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. I need to try to practice more often IP: Logged |
