Edited...PixieJane, I'm from ___ and I'm curious what areas you're talking about. Your reference to annexation makes me think it's around ___. I had a really strange experience in a Kroger in ___ once. It wasn't anything paranormal, but everyone at the store looked like they were related. They had very distinctive facial features, especially the nose and eyes, and all had strawberry blonde hair color. There was an extremely weird vibe and it felt like everyone was in a trance of some sort. I think a lot of people were hooked on meth at that time so that could explain their behavior, but not the fact that they all looked alike. I was so freaked out that I called my mom, feeling like I'd been in the Twilight Zone. She told me that a friend of hers used to pass through there a lot and always commented on how strange the people were there. I have family in east Texas and I've been to a lot of small towns, but I never experienced anything like that. I narrowly escaped being kidnapped in the nearby town of ___ when I was 9, so I have a really negative association with that place because of that. In recent years there have been several gang rapes of under aged girls there, in one case involving over 20 guys and an 11 year old victim People make me sick!!! Sadly these are just the ones where people were caught, and I'm sure there are many other cases that went unreported. That's really disturbing and there must be some really dark energies surrounding that place, for things like this to happen repeatedly in such a small town. I believe that the 3 men that attempted to kidnap me were planning on trafficking me. I saw them a few weeks later in ___, presumably looking for a victim. It's interesting that you mentioned Galveston too. I used to go to the island a lot growing up. It always had such a heavy negative feeling to me. Not the beach area, but some areas around the Strand and around some of the neighborhoods. I distinctly remember a really negative feeling coming over me, all of the sudden feeling really depressed. It happened once when I was around 10 and again at 15. Both times I said I'd kill myself if I had to live on this island, because I couldn't live with that negative energy. It felt so heavy, and just being there made me feel hopeless. I think it's probably the mass deaths caused by the 1900 hurricane that killed over 6,000 people at once. I think there's just an imprint of sorrow that remains there. It's weird because my grandpa immigrated to the US from Slovenia through Galveston. I've always wondered how it felt for him to step off the boat onto the island, whether he was just happy to be in the US or if he could feel the negative vibes that surround it. IP: Logged |

Very cool topic Violets. I'll write about my experiences in Arizona later. I've experienced the whole spectrum of energies from extremely positive to extremely negative there. It felt really odd to have such strong reactions both good and bad to places in the same area.IP: Logged |

^ Awesome, thank you for adding to it, Bluejay! I enjoy these exchanges (and they often confirm what I've already suspected, as far as places I don't want to visit, heh).

Something else I have found interesting is the noted presence of "vortexes" in certain areas. I mean like the one in Oregon, where the Oregon Vortex is, and what they call the House of Mystery (where physics appear to be defied, etc). http://www.oregonvortex.com/science.htm When we moved to Montana (we did a lot of moving this year), there was a place similar to it outside of Kalispell, similarly named the Montana Vortex and the House of Mystery. http://www.montanavortex.com/ The really interesting thing to me is that the vortex in Oregon is noted to be a place the native population avoided, calling it "Forbidden Ground" (according to the site). The one in Montana is touted as being a place the local natives considered sacred, and I find that interesting. I wonder what the difference is, and if they're truly vortexes of some sort (in terms of supernatural comings and goings). They're certainly interesting. IP: Logged |

I lived is between Spring and Tomball, and closer to the official city limits (given how the city limits keep moving out, it may be within the city limits now) than either. Going by memory, I was closer to the official Houston city limits than I was Tomball, but closer to Tomball than downtown Houston (again, old memories from childhood at work here, and perhaps not accounting for traffic times as much as I should). It's not that far from Kingwood, and I think I may have even been there once, but my memory is vague on it. If I was then it was before I was 15, and probably before I was 13. I don't say where I lived exactly as that could be used to identify me with just a little bad luck (and I've sure had plenty of it while there), which could create problems for not only me, but others as well. Still, if you're from the area to recognize Kingwood then that should give you a pretty good idea. When I did the research on the area's past, it wasn't too specific on the area nearly a century ago (everything is spotty before the oil boom, and the city and probably state continues to suppress a lot since then), but it should cover Kingwood, and I believe goes out as far as Pinehurst and Magnolia, but not as far as Conroe. I should add that I've been to Tomball enough times and I never felt anything weird or bad there--nothing beyond the ordinary anyway--other than a strange hospital scandal that was quickly hushed and forgotten about, and I can't recall details now. But then there's the infamous prison in Hunstville, a little further to the north of Conroe, with its execution chamber (in which many Texans can gather around to cheer executions even without seeing them, especially as election time approaches as it's good for votes, and was something that sickened me even back when I was for capital punishment) that I'm sure creates a negative energy, if it wasn't there already. I'm remembering more stuff now, someone could write a sitcom on it! And there have been more than one movie made (at least one unofficially banned in Houston, or was up to the 90s), such as ones about Wanda Holloway, aka the Pom-Pom Mom: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wanda_Holloway IP: Logged |

Oh! In regards to comparing the place to a Hellmouth metaphorically from Buffy the Vampire Slayer...I've had quite a few dreams in which Giles is with me, and sometimes even my father (in one dream I was a child again talking to Dad when Giles drove up and I said bye to dad to leave with Giles, because he was my father instead of Dad). In one dream that has cracked many Buffy fans up, there was a problem with vampires at a family reunion so I decided to go get Buffy. Only Giles was available so I brought him back, and he became quite disturbed just seeing Texas. One scene was him examining the foliage, bull nettles I think, as well as our fire ants, especially aggressive yellow jackets and scorpions, and said something like, "Good lord, according to the signs, the apocalypse is immanent!" And I said (and it's true), "Naw, it's always been like that." IP: Logged |

@mirageI know right? I had one such node in a new house that my parents bought in the past, it was in my room. I could not keep plants there, my dogs did not like to stay there. I felt a pressure most of the time, constant bad dreams, electronics acting weird. At first I thought its poltergeist, but I felt no presence there, usually I do in such cases. I managed to find a software that creates geomaps and I was able to insert the hartmann matrix into it. Too bad it was long time ago and I dont have that software anymore. I'll do some research and post it here for you guys IP: Logged |

Yeah, I wish I could find some more information on how to find the Hartmann energy nodes. My plants do fairly well, and we have a small potted garden outside that is doing nicely...so, hopefully that's not an issue where we currently live. Although I wouldn't doubt if it were an issue at the last house we owned. Thankfully, we were only there for about three months. IP: Logged |

That's ok haha I love reading this topic though. I don't recall experiencing negative energy about any place as strongly as you all have described here. Forme the sensitivity usually works around people. I'll have to think about it, maybe I'll remember some experiences IP: Logged |

I read it Bluejay, thanks.I'm glad you didn't edit earlier. I clicked on this thread earlier but your post didn't show up. Since there was another post, it didn't occur to me to check the time stamp or click refresh on general principle. IP: Logged |

No, not me. Lol. Not much will convince me to watch movies, I'm afraid. Unless it's Harry Potter or something. IP: Logged |

I haven't seen Walking Dead, lol. I'm telling you...I'm a TV hermit. I watch The Dead Files, Harry Potter movies, Spongebob Squarepants, Expedition Unknown, and The Amazing World of Gumball. And the Science Channel. And some older British comedies, occasionally Jimmy Fallon. IP: Logged |

Oh. And Adventure Time. Sorry, I felt like I should be honest if I were going to say that I'm a TV hermit. It's mostly true, but there are a handful of shows I watch. IP: Logged |

Update:I had a distance session with an energy healer who has studied/practices shamanism, and she did confirm my suspicions about the area. She performed a ceremony to help heal the souls who were sort of trapped here, and she did say that it covered a large area. I won't go into much detail right now about that, but I suppose what I got out of that is that if an area doesn't feel right, it's probably not. May all those she helped rest in peace. IP: Logged |

Thank you, Mirage. Our home and our property feel so much more pleasant now. She performed the energy healing for me, as well as for the land, and I haven't felt this pleased for years. I really needed what she has to give, and I'm so happy I found her. She offers retreats and classes not far from where we live, closer to where we used to live, and I'm hoping to go soon, probably after the baby is born...but might need to wait a while until spring or so, for travel and baby reasons.
