my hunny and I rescued a puppie over the weekend from a nearby shelter. We have always wanted a puppy but in the place we lived previously we were limited to cats. We always told ourselves that when we could get a doggie we would definalty rescue one and its most likely would be a puppy because of having cats. For ease of them and to train the puppy that kitties are nice. Anyhow we picked one up over the weekend after years of wanting one. This is my first (well had one when I was little, but dont remember much about him and I wasnt the one training) My question is ....... does anyone know of any good books out there on Training and Obedience?? ive searched the net but there is SOOOOO many out there, its hard to tell with out seeing them if they are worth it or not. So thought id check here before arranging for a trip into town .....

thanks,
Ang

You have to use UBB code to post pics.

Angel of Hope,

Congratulations on your new baby, she is gorgeous!!!!! I really don't know of any good training books, you'll just have to pick one. I would also check in with your local shelter or Humane Society to see if they offer any classes in your area.

Thanks Nephthys ...
Shes listens really good for a puppy with little to noe attention span! lol .. shes als overy bright , im beginning to think that shes mixed with lab, especailly if shes got the brains. I had wanted to try and train/teach her myself but if I began running into problems I was gonna look into classes before she gets much older.
Ill do that ... just point and pick! lol ... maybe ill run into town this weekend and see what Barnes and Noble have or even Borders Books.
Thanks for the response !
