Wow! Mine aren't that creative

I have a skinny grey striped cat named Edgar Allan Poe...we call him Ed or Mister.

Then there's the fat black cat named Rufus...we call him Ruse or Big-Belly Rufus or Big Ruse.

I have a snake named Al Simmons..we call him Al or SSSSSSSSimmonSSSSSS.

There's another cat (he's outdoors) whose original name was Bigglesworth. It's changed so many times...I think its Hank now.

I have a dog named Bear- he's half German Shepherd and half Bang Kaew (A Thai breed) and 100% gorgeous. He will be 6 this July (a cancer/leo cusp). He goes by:
Mr. Bear
Beary Boy

And other unimaginative dimunitives.

Great thread, Tranquil! =)

Poor dog only had one eye too. The other was taken out in a scuffle with a rottweiler. She weighed about 3 pounds, feisty (but lovable) little thing.

oh this is a neat one ...

Sheaa - i just saw a ridgeback for the first time over the weekend. This owner has had them since he can remember. I got to hear all sorts of amazing sotries about that breed. Very intersting breed. beautiful as well.

I have two cats and a dog.

My male cat is named "Diablo" - i am into racing and cars and such so i wanted a fast/mechanical name of sorts. He was named after the car not the devil. However when he was younger you woulda thought he was the later. He's a DSH white/grey cat. Hes got the cutest triangles on the top of his head rolling onto his nose... Diablo goes by:
"D"
Mr. "D"
Dee-de-dee
my boy
mama's boy
and the baby
funny - very rarely does he get called by Diablo.

My female cat is named "Mallory" - she was named after a racing/hot rod style ignition. She almost got the name Hemi, but i despise dodge. LOL. Mallory is a calico/tabby mix, also known as "torti" or "tortishell". Mallory goes by:
Mallory
Missy
lil missy
my girl
mama's lil girl
missy girl
honeys
fatty
fatty McGee
buddha belly

And last but not least, my female puppy Carrera! Carrera was a rescued dog (as were both my cats) and therefor we dont know much about her besides that she is a Husky Mix of sorts. Carrera came into our life March 05, 2005 at two months of age. Given that, she doesnt have alot of nicknames as of yet, although she does go by:
Carrera
Berra
Carrera-berra
mama's girl
my girl
spunk
baby girl

Over all ... they be "My Kids"! since as of this moment in time i dont have any human children! lol

for Carrera ....
one of the guys i work with calls her "vicious", every morning she comes walking in the shop with a toy in her mouth and does her bark/growl greets with all the guys.

My hunny has started calling her "broken Ears" ... her ears always fold over, so it looks as if they are broken. lol.
When she was a lil tike, she looked zactly like scrappy-doo ... so she was called that for a lil while too. Till her ears/head grew anyways.

I have two pits - the female, her name is Neenah - she is 4, her birthday is in august, everybody who know her/loves her, she is so sweet and affectionate. she loves to bop to music and get lots of petting. she is very protective but in a sweet way. she is such a beautiful looking dog. she is very calm. neenah is the color of cocoa. she likes to stand under me when i'm cooking but she's getting bigger so i almost fall over her a lot or feel her nose on my knee when i'm fixing something to eat. she is my youngest brother's bestest friend.

i have a male pit as well - his name is ali - he is two this month, he is very territorial, sweet and likes to rough house a lot. he loves to hum/sing to songs. he likes to be heard. he is very protective but in a needy way. he is chocolate and his fighting style is like mohammed ali's - a lot of ducking, dodging, rounding. if you have food in your hand, he will try to trip you so your food will fall on the floor. he will nudge my hand a lot so i can pet him and he always has to be in the conversation and vicinity - he is so nosey. he's my baby.

Well, where do I start - have a whole menagerie here

My dog is an adorable tiny Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) who looks like a minature of "Lassie".Her full name is: "Bonnie Wee Caitlin" but I call her "Katy" for short. She has also been called "jabinkys" and used to think her name was "Pretty" because that's what people always say when they see her.

My big, strapping Chestnut gelding horse's proper name is "Sir William" but we call him "Billy"- partly for expedience, but also to acknowledge that, though he is ridden English, he is really a "Cowboy" at heart , lol

My other Horse, another gelding who happens to be a spirited grey Arabian, was given the name "Gai Tasada" but I call him "Tasa" for short. It almost sounds like Toss-a, which reminds me how he always tosses his mane. He is so pretty he is often mistakenly called "she" lol.

Then there is Tasha, the long hair calico feline who is called simply that. Sushi is my black and white cat that I sometimes call "cow kitty" because of her markings !

So good to see other horselovers here !

Neph- Here's hoping your wish will come true.
Any way that you can get involved with horses may put you on the right trail to having one of your own.

BJ ( I love your nick) Max is a kewl name, how do you envision him/her, if I may ask ?

Do either of you ride currently ?

Would love to hear all about your horse dreams and endeavors !
