I actually have most of my planets in houses 7 - 12 (7 planets in the last 6 houses). My strongest houses are 7, 8 and 10. I do however have Mars in the 1st.

Or maybe these religious groups need to find new ways for spreading the word. It's 2013, maybe religious organizations should find more modern and less abrasive ways for marketing their beliefs/ideologies that don't include harassing people on the streets or in their homes. It's business when it comes to these organizations. Increasing their membership base and thus maximizing the influx of donations and funds. Maybe it's time for them to hire a new marketing team.

Joan,

Sorry for the confusion.

My question concerns both signs and houses,
so, half an answer is really no answer at all.

If you're willing to indulge my research...

Please copy/paste this list,
with a number beside each sign and house
in which a planet of yours is placed:

Aries:
Taurus:
Gemini:
Cancer:
Leo:
Virgo:
Libra:
Scorpio:
Sagittarius:
Capricorn:
Aquarius:
Pisces:
1st house:
2nd house:
3rd house:
4th house:
5th house:
6th house:
7th house:
8th house:
9th house:
10th house:
11th house:
12th house:

It wasn't a half answer all my 7 - 10th house placements are in signs 6 - 12. Libra, Aquarius, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn to be exact spread over 7 planets. I have 3 planets in signs 1 - 6. And all three of the planets are in houses 1 - 6.

I understand this is for your research but I'm trying to avoid having T's thread derailed, no offense.

Great! Glad to hear things have settled. I look forward to hearing from you and catching up too. Which might be a little while, after things settle for me. TTUS

Love everything you've said here btw

That's a great idea! Though that might just make the ones here want to pester you even more. You might be seen as more of a challenge or in a more 'desperate situation'.

LOL, HSC a statue of Baphomet, might get you a different response rather than work to chase them away....

Reminded me of metaphysical shop I used to visit many years ago was harassed routinely by a christian group (can't remember which one), who would leave nasty notes on their doorstep before they opened and warn them about devil worshipping. It was so long ago I can't remember all the details, but it was sort of comical. They really wanted to take that place down and have the shop close. They were not doing anything close to devil worship of course. Just offering astrololgy, psychic, palm readings, selling books, wiccan related material and incense and crystals and handmade jewelry etc.

The sweet elderly couple who owned it said the group had confused the Pentagram with the downward pointed pentagram of Satanism and nothing would change their minds that they did not mean the same thing and that the store was not owned by devil worshiping satanists. They gave up trying to kindly explain to them and got used to the notes taped to the door and just promptly threw them away.

Seems like they lack of the sense of using other people's time is not a part of their vocabularly.

Yes. And the audacity to thing they have the one and only and final answer. The answer that everyone needs and won't rest until everyone else sees it their way too. To not question their beliefs themselves or at least allow others to find their own way and respect that people have.....it's just to much for me. If people are interested or exploring their faith and have questions, they will come to you and find out more.

Like NJ said:

quote:
I refuse to indulge them, I've got things to do and don't have time to have religious propaganda preached at me. Disgusting. I already have my beliefs and they are no one else's concern but my own.

I do find it rather disgusting too. Respect that people have their own beliefs and they are none of your concern. They will come to you if they want to. No need to go banging down everyone's door door trying to save them. Focus on yourself.

Honestly, it's the ones who believe that, and who DON'T do their utmost to persuade me, who really scare me. I guess they're okay with me burning. Of course, so many of those hard-core evangelists don't seem sincerely motivated to help. They just like the role, or something. They feel superior. When you close the door, they're almost happy to leave you to your fate; or what they believe is your fate. Now THAT's creepy.

Yes! I always remind myself of that too. For that - for caring about others welfare, they deserve a bit of credit. I guess I just have a hard time wrapping my brain around being so dead set that they have the final answer and know the one way - that their minds are so closed. That they don't realize that others will NOT in fact be burning forever in fire if they dont convert. No, really they wont!

Since they only feel more sorry for you when you don't 'realize' this, it's pretty pointless to get into any kind of discussion.

I'm wondering how many people these groups actually end up converting.....

Thank you for the advice.

Though I'm afraid I will have to just continue to wave them off. I was looking online for funny signs one could put on their door to keep these types away. Have not found any that I like yet. I might make one of my own anyway....but it might not be very funny. LOL

I'm not even sure a true Christian would want to be called Christian. I'm pretty sure Rumi said "I not Sufi"*, and he founded the Sufi Order of Whirling Dervishes.

This woman uses Christian language regularly, and is probably the closest thing I've seen to a true Christian, but I don't think she chooses to call herself Christian:

*based on an interpretation by Coleman Barks (who did not know Persian) of a translation by R. A. Nicholson, who wrote "Muslim", but not "Sufi"; Sufis define their religion as "the heart of Islam".

Thank! Ive not seen that. Going to watch it in a little bit.
