Padre, You have a skewed version of Christianity imo.
God wants people to prosper in all ways, Padre. Being poor is not prospering. God wants people to be able to bless other people. If you are poor and debilitated, you are not going to be blessing others very much as you will be occupied with your own condition. I am not saying these people are bad or anything like that.

It is just not God's best for people or God's desire for people, according to the Bible.

Blessings to you, Padre

Ah, AA, when one is poor and debilitated, that is the best time to be a blessing to others through prayer and kindness and helpfulness.

As Paul said "..there is no law against things such as these.."

It is a function of Western Culture that chains Faith=Worldly Wealth. However as the West has grown wealthy it has forgotten the foundation that led to the prosperity.

With Hubris comes Nemesis.

The basic point is that the more blessed you are, the more you can give. It is a simple fact but silly to argue over, Bro

Anyhoo, a common misconception among Christians is being poor equates to godly. It doesn't.

Of course not, however, there is nothing ungodly about it either.

AA, what one should understand is Beck is basically drumming on whatever issue he knows will create a reaction in his uhm, "fans" he then writes a book about it which is then bought by "X" percentage of "Fans"

Reason for that is marketing 101, in 8 months, no one will care particularly about what he drummed up.

I disagree, Padre. If he was a mercenary, he has enough money to live for many lifetimes. He wants our country back from the Clown in Chief who absconded with it.

There are some real patriots around, Padre. They have made their millions. Instead, they put their lives on the line fighting this horrible president. That is something BEYOND money. Rush is another one. Michelle Bachman and Sarah Palin are some others. These people are true patriots, Padre. Don't be so cynical
