I have to confess to knowing little about his past. Of course it is early to see if he is going to walk the talk but I find him encouraging in many ways so far.

I'll look into his record at your instigation shura.

Seems a bit he-said-she-said ... Is there any convincing evidence or is this it?

I've changed my mind about Pope Francis.
So much has happened the last few weeks that the canonization of the two preceding popes by Francis escaped my radar.

Shura has it right. ~ Francis as PR spokesperson~ for the corporation, that corporation, [Catholicism] given it's centuries of longevity, sheer numbers, is the most corrupt human kind has ever known.

I often agree with astrologer Eric Francis when he puts on his reporters visor. His take on elevating these two to sainthood is stark, and fairly burns the page with repressed anger.

So, I will post some of what he has to say-> http://planetwaves.net/news/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/640+web-rites-of-spring.jpg

...continued in part....

"
Every pope since then has been involved in the child sex abuse cover-up, though it was Wojtyla who presided at the most critical times -- as most of the lawsuits were being brought by survivors and then settled before trial, costing the church more than $3 billion. Roncalli for his part was uniquely situated to do something about it; apparently the reforms of Vatican Council II, which modernized the church during a rare moment of opening in society (the Uranus-Pluto conjunction of the 1960s) did not involve considering the actual ethics of priests.

Naming two of his predecessors saint was more than Pope Bergoglio's "Ford Pardons Nixon" moment. The church has again buried one of the most horrendous atrocities of our time, and now tens of thousands of people a day will visit the saintly relics of men who took many of its worst secrets to their crypts."
