now this IS funny.....my headteacher turned up to work yesterday wearing, of all things, purple tights!!!!!! oh, the saga continues....... p.s. its snowing loads here which is a bit of a rarity here in the UK - half the kids can't get to school and i nearly slid into the side of a lorry on the way to work due to icy roads.

Hello, Mezzoelf! This is my first time to your thread... I can't imagine why I hadn't stopped by for a "cuppa" before! I, too, like the strong, black teas... particularly Earl Grey and Darjeeling. Just a touch of sugar for me, and it had best be HOT! Another thing I share with you is a love of the long hot shower at the end of the day. I try to be environmentally respectful, but this is a tough one to break. Also, the bath with a glass of wine. Regarding tea... I enjoy other varieties: green, white, chai-- but to me, those aren't "tea." They're just other beverages. I love that you seem to add a dash of magic when and where you can. Maybe you could teach me a thing or two??? IP: Logged |

hey there future!i'll just get the kettle on for a hot earl grey - my fave! i know what you mean about the non-environmentally friendly showers.....but they are soooooooo good. at the end of a long day there's nothing better or more cleasning, in every sense of the word. as to the magic, well we can all do it. i suppose 'my' variety tends to fall into the visualisation category - you know, keeping the mind focused on something or someone for a few mins a day; sending out positive thoughts or lighting a white candle or two...simple things but they help keep me in touch with whats important, and with a bit of luck helps those to whom good vibes are sent. i do it when i'm cooking or cleaning as my mind can be free at these times! another good one is when you are in the process of cooking - never cook a meal in a bad mood. it wont work and will leave people unsatisfied and unwell. always cook with love! p.s. sometimes i'll do a bit of dowsing (?spelling) if i'm in two minds about something - can be a very useful tool. Hi Mezzo! I was due for around your bithday but arrived early on Oct 18th. I think we are the lost generation ya know.... Kinda born out of the 70's and too traditional for the 90's. (well at least I was). Our place is unique, we grew up in the 80's, what does that tell ya! I'm a middle child too. Nice to meet you IP: Logged |

Mezzo!Hey... I tried the "magic" thing today. I made a loaf of bread for my dad and step-mother (she just lost her mother.) I lit a candle and thought about her mother's passing and her life and I baked bread for the two of them. I tried to infuse it with peace, love, and comfort. It was my favorite bread baking experience ever! Thanks for the tip! BTW... have you tried Earl Greyer by Republic of Tea? It's wonderful! IP: Logged |

Hey Quinnie! nice to meet you too! its strange what you say about us being the 'lost' generation...i totally know what you mean but have never been able to find the words for it...an odd mix of old-school values, a deep hippie-vibe and forward looking/thinking....hmmmmmmm! feel free to tell me a bit more about yourself; your likes and dislikes, whatever future - so glad you had a go at the 'magic' whilst baking some bread - it will make a difference to the people that eat it (promise), and for you it will have been a deeply energising experience too. let me know how things go...if they enjoyed it etc. p.s. not had that tea before. will defo look out for it now ------------------ Out of clutter find simplicity. Hi Mezzoelf1:It's been a bit since I last dropped in... I didn't wear all black(LOL!) or listen to metal music!! But I was the type that if I was not was told not to do something I went to the other extreme as a sort of protest! LOL! I've been thinking about learning to ride a motorcycle, but I'm petite too. But seeing you do it is helping me to gather courage. Is it fun? Or does it feel more dangerous than than fun? Where is my cup of tea???? IP: Logged |

hi there good girl! LOL about the wearing black - didn't figure you'd fit a stereotype motorbikes - yeh, crazy fun! I have a 125cc which i wizz around on quite happily but bigger bikes are more of an issue. start small and see how you feel - its a very personal thing and yes, it does feel dangerous, but that's half the fun! as for the tea....the kettle is on...but it might be a while as i'm having a bit of an odd day today.... it started with me throwing up, quite randomly, first thing this morning. am not ill, but feeling very spaced out..... how do you like your tea? x IP: Logged |

Cheerio mezzoelf!Or should I call you White Witch? You always seemed like a really great person, and now that i know a little more, i am convinced. I mean, you gotta love a teacher in red (or purple) tights. Thanks for letting me pop in. Say, I dont suppose you have any Chamomile? My nerves are really something. Black tea, while I like it, can be hectic. You look good on that bike, by the way. Be careful, k? Blessings, HSC
ps. Sorry to hear you were feeling under the weather. Hope you're feeling better these days.

Hi guys!HSC - great of you to pop by. I always have chamomile (?spelling) tea....as someone who also has a habit of living on their 'nerves' I can't live without the stuff!!! Don't you worry about me and bikes - I do take it carefully. Tbh I'm a bit of a wuss really.... Feel free to drop in anytime with some words of wisdom - I like reading your thoughts x Good girl - am not pregnant (as far as I am aware), how odd that you would ask! IP: Logged |

Hey there Wheels! Oh - I would had PAID someone to call me 'cool' in my youth!!! I was the least cool, most geeky kid you ever came across But then I realised it was OK to be me and stopped trying to fit in. I don't choose to go against the grain, so to speak, I just do my 'thing' these days....opera, bikes and red tights included!

hey good girl! I didn't say YOU were odd, just that I THOUGHT it was odd of you to ask - but actually you are right. In view of what I wrote not odd at all. I wasn't ill insofar as after being sick I was ok-ish for the rest of the day, other than feeling a bit weirded out. Maybe I should worry?!IP: Logged |

hey wheels....just sat down with a brew - a good old Yogi tea actually, the one with fennle and ginger. yum! anyway - feeling a little calmer now, but this big tide of emotion is just sitting in the background waiting to flood over me again, and i do feel very out of sorts with it all. its most odd. i would blame it on PMT but its never normally this bad IP: Logged |
