Hello All! I am excited to be here! I can't fully explain why, but my interest in Linda has REALLY been rekindled lately! I was familiar with "Sun Signs" not terribly long after it was published in paperback and it was a selection way back (late 60's? early 70's?) when I was still able to order books through one of those school book clubs (not sure if it was Scholastic back then, but to give you an idea, I graduated from high school in 75 - eh, and I don't mind if anyone then finds me "old", lol!). I then devoured "Love Signs" in the mid-80's when it was available in paperback. Then picked up "Star Signs" almost as soon as it came off the presses, I think (it is buried somewhere on my bed right now, but that's not quite so pressing at the moment). I had been looking forward to the publication of "Gooberz" as she mentioned it in "Star Signs" but somehow missed it. I only very recently acquired it through Half Price Books and am taking my time in reading it, especially as I am now in the middle of Canto Twenty and fully intend to re-read much of the book soon after finishing. There is SO much there.I suppose one might say that my interest was refueled with the discovery of my own "twin soul" several years ago (a very long story for another post another time - suffice it to say that we had known each other for several years before "something" happened after he had told me of his diagnosis with a terminal illness, then he left that Body Temple - yes! I now know to use that terminology! - in August 2010. I often kick myself for not having recognized him much sooner but always knew that there was "something" telepathic going on between us but just wasn't allowing myself to acknowledge it. Reading of Linda's grief over losing "Carousel Bill" AND "Gooober" has struck so many chords with me. And the KNOWING that I have not truly "lost" my Love is very Comforting. I have had an interest in astrology for quite a while (well, since about the late 60's, apparently!) and have some very basic knowledge, no expert here. I have had charts done for both my S-elf and my Love (though I never obtained an exact birth time for him) and may post at some time in the future if it seems appropriate. In the meantime, I do hope that I can find the time to hang around here and read what everyone has had to share and get to know you all better. I'm looking forward to it! IP: Logged |
