There is a big clue ~ several posters have little or no water, they were born at the end of the 60s and the beginning of the 70s.

The movement of the generational planets is the key. Check out an ephemeris and think about it.

If there were a large number of people in a generation unable to express their feelings, feel empathy or other core human emotions, this would be reflected in society in some way. This is not the case.

Maybe it is the younger posters who are struggling with the idea of people who are not overtly emotional yet experience the same feelings as they do. Stick around the world long enough and tune into other people it will become easier to work out.

As for the original post, skimming through it one things leaps out is 12th house Moon. It is astrologically naive to assume he is low on empathetic awareness. The reverse is probably the case. If he doesn't gush and cry how hurt he is 24/7 that changes nothing about how he feels.

i lack water, i have jupiter in cancer with chiron in cancer, and pluto in scorpio. thats it.

my 8th is empty, my 4th has the pluto in it, and my 12th has chiron on it.

my 12th is in cancer - hidden emotions.

i do come accross very detatched, aloof.

i am secretley fairly emotional but its never shown.

Anyone who is genuinely in tune with other people's feelings will pick up on this and will understand your emotional nature.

No-one outside of LL would think to brand me as aloof or unemotional. It's worrying that on a forum dedicated to gaining spiritual insight, and psychological understanding through astrology, that erroneous conclusion could be leapt to.

I realise I am talking to the wall on this one ~ again and again I will read water void=no feelings. And will get upset. I know why it upsets me. I'm not going to tell you though.

i read somewhere that it has an opposite meaning. that you don't need the water bc you have worked out that karma or something..
for example i only have one planet in air. jupiter in Gemini. detriment no less. and i would be told that i have a hard time expressing myself. however my mercury is my most aspected planet, teachers have always love my poetry and some have described me as eloquent. I often say that i paint pictures with words. and my friend has told me how my poetry creates strong visuals for her.

well, i tend to impracticality in physical things, but i do not lack earth - merc, venus and saturn in virgo and ic in taurus...and my daughter, whose only water planet is sat in scorp, and who has SEVEN planets in fire + asc, is VERY emotional and sensitive...so my only response really is "go figure"? however reading here i realize she has several 8th house planets including sun, moon in 12 and ic is scorp. so maybe we should realize that those house positions really do interchange with planets and that EVERYONE has all the elements really? or pretty much everyone!

I have only planet Jupiter in water (Scorpio).
However, I have an 8th moon, and a 12th Neptune.

My NN is in cancer.

I avoid overly emotional situations, and speech. However, as mentioned, dont be deceived by lack of water being unemotional or unable to fathom emotion. Feelings are the same, its just the modes of expression that differ.
