thanks for clearing that up about what kind of aspects are significant to a planet conjuncting a midpoint cristiname.

my mercury is square uranus and conjunction venus, so i guess thats the only midpoint that sticks out on my chart with any kind of aspects to its conjuncting planet

Yes l agree with the 1 degree orb too on midpoints.

I have a multitude of personal planets conjuncting midpoints in my chart because of my
saturn 18' aries
NN 18' aries
moon 20' aries
venus 21' aries
AC 21' aries

in fact Ven/NN=moon, moon/ven=AC and on and on and on.

What exactly do midpoints mean though? Do they give power to a planet or are they more about lessons?

oh, and my sun is EXACT conjunct my venus/mars midpoint lol
What on earth does that mean? Anyone know please?

I'm afraid I don't understand what you're saying here. the aspects are NOT to the planet conjuncting the MP; the aspects are to the MP.

example:

my Sun is at 14CAP38
my Moon at 20SCO50
my Sun/Moon midpoint is at 17SAG44. (17 degrees and 44 seconds in Saggitarius)
My Neptune is at 16SAG54, so Neptune is conj my Sun/Moon, or I have Neptune=Sun/Moon.

on the other hand, my Venus is at 10CAP36 and my NN at 10LIB19, so my Venus/NN is at 25SCO29. I have no planet at 25Sco29, but my Asc is at 25Aqu09, so my Asc is square Venus/NN, or Asc=Venus/NN

I don't understand this either. it makes no difference what aspects there are between planets. you need to calculate the MP, then see what aspects the MP makes to the other planets.

Since it is very difficult to calculate by hand, like I said, why don't you download a free program like the astrowin that will give you the whole list of MPs and all their aspects.

or, get a program like Janus that also gives you interpretations for them. Ebertin had interpreted the MPs, and you can find a 'modern' version of those interpretations in Noel Tyl's book "Solar Arcs".

Have my examples made things clearer?

right, i got it, no planets aspects effect a midpoint if the planet conjuncts it, only aspects to the midpoint its self.

cristiname, would you consider my mars and mercury at the midpoints then between my sun/mercury, and venus / mars?

and my last question was,

do you know of any significance in sysnastry if a persons MARS conjuncts some ones SUN + ASC midpoint? (its conjunct by 1 degree)

no, mars at venus/mars mp means nothing; not mercury at sun/mercury. it has to be a different planet than the two in the MP.

in sinastry, I'm just considering contacts. no interpretations per se. there's a connection between how one expresses mars and how the other behaves.

I have no idea what you say here

i meant, my mars conjunction the midpoint between my mercury and sun.

and my mercury conjunction the midpoint between my mars and venus.

oh, ok. then - if Mars is within 1 dgr of the Sun/Mercury MP, then it counts. so with Mercury within 1 dgr of Sun/Venus MP.

Midpoints are shown for any given date by the 'Planetary Aspects and Transits' program at http://www.planetary-aspects.com/pat/pat.htm

You can even search for midpoints. On April 7, 2012, there are four midpoints: Sun between Venus and Neptune, Venus between Mars and Neptune, Venus between Saturn and Pluto, and Pluto between Mars and Jupiter.

Here's a chart for that date produced by the PAT software:
