How do find the Anti-Vertex? Is it simply the diresct opposite of the Vertex? If my vertex is 7 deg Libra...is my Anti-Vertex 7 deg Aries?IP: Logged |

What would it mean if your Anti-Vertex is conjunct your Eros in your natal chart? So: Eros opposite your Vertex? Any ideas on that? (Even a few short words would be appreciated, couldn't find anything on that so far).IP: Logged |

The Vertex axis is called the electric axis. I think the Vertex is the fated end of the stick, so to speak, and the Anti-Vertex is more about choice and free will.If you have a planet conjunct your Vertex then it becomes more an even more important part of your chart in terms of transits. LOVE, you wrote: quote: I think the Vertex is the fated end of the stick, so to speak, and the Anti-Vertex is more about choice and free will.
... and this is an easy-to-understand description, makes sense, probably. I will keep that sentence in the back of my mind, from now on. Thanks for saying this in THAT way!;-) So, having Eros cj. my Anti-Vertex would/could mean: I am able to handle my own sexuality/erotic needs by choice, with my free will, am in full control of that? (Eros/Anti-Vertex are cj. in Capricorn, in my 2nd house). Whereas "the fated end of the stick", in my case, would be my Vertex in my 8th in Cancer then? Which could mean, that my erotic real-life-experiences do reflect back on deep thoughts and experiences that I work through in secret/in the background (8th house) - so that I'll experience "fate" not in the actual, real erotic things I am going through - but more through the waves that are running through my soul's window in my secluded/secretive 8th house? Maybe, the "free will erotic experiences" opposing my Vertex could work as an outer trigger for Vertex-related thoughts and feelings? IP: Logged |

Definitely! Or maybe when you have some kind of fated encounter with the Vertex, it usually relates to Eros in some way? Perhaps a challenge/confrontation in regards to your Eros?If Eros is in your second house then I would think that it might relate in some way to what you value and/or how you value your-self. (And maybe also indicates that you are very sensual??) And, yes, since it's conjunct the Anti-Vertex then you must maintain a level of consciousness about that. IP: Logged |

From the other thread: "Johndro considered it and the Antivertex as electrostatic release points of the Earth at the birth moment, and connected them with Uranus."So I wonder if there is added significance to my conjunction then...? I have Uranus conjunct Destinn conjunct Vertex and my Chiron conjuncts my Anti-Vertex. I've had a feeling for a while that there's something about my Uranus of which I am unaware...like I'm not that connected to it unless my Vertex is activated through synastry and transits. Hm. Ha! I just realized that I more or less asked the same question in the other thread. It was only a few months ago. Well, I'm still curious darn it all. For the record, my Vertex is at 29 degrees to top it all off. Anyone? IP: Logged |

LOVE, thanks for your reply to my answer posted above.;-)Your own Vertex at 29°? Huh, mysterious.;-) Did you check out the current thread on LILTIH posted by BUENA? They're discussing the "clairvoyance"-factor of 29th degree-placements there ... IP: Logged |

Well..i wud venture enuff to say , Love, that it IS signifigant. I dont doubt it at all. But how do we INTERPRET the signifigance...this is the question. Hmmm...Well..29 deg Auarius is what again? I remeber seeing it in the astrological blurbs. Well..ill check it out again..but its definately Uranian and vertex means fated. Its sounds like a real firecracker! Im gonna look into it. My Vertex is at 0"18' Sagittarius, opposite my 1"33' Gem sun... I'm not incompetent with a search engine and have found very little info about Vertex, even less about the vertex axis/anti-vertex.I guess that I won't have any handy crutches in my continuing search for the significance of having my sun on anti-vertex. I pounced on this thread with, for me, such an alluring title, heheh.. "Yaaaaay! It says Anti-Vertex!!" *Edit* BTW, here is a thread on another forum about Vertex and Anti-Vertex, lot's of interesting stuff there http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4117 ------------------ Cancer Rising 21'44 Gemini Sun 1'33 Libra Moon 18'39 Taurus Mercury 16'36 Cancer Venus 15'15 Gemini Mars 4'28 Sagittarius Jupiter 6'39 Libra Saturn 28'55 Sagittarius Uranus 7'20 Sagittarius Neptune 28'33 Libra Pluto 27'14 IP: Logged |

Uranus is eccentric, sudden change, abrupt announcements, decisions. It is progressiveness, farsightedness, a willingness to pioneer. It also indicates friends who are interested in occult subjects. Remember Uranus can urge to experimentation and testing.Someone with natal Uranus in the 8th – can indicate of unusual conditions involving money belonging to partners and a tremendous attraction to the occult. Also, a unique sense of humor – satire humor. Put humor on paper – it could be profitable for you! Someone with Uranus in the 11th – brings strange friends to the native, unusual persons into the native’s "inner circle". Sometimes they are involved in unusual love-sex relationships. More on natal Uranus in the 8th house – these natives have unusual ways of handling and investing other people’s money and could benefit by unexpected legacies. They usually have psychic intuition and are interested in the occult and afterlife. Unconventional ideas about sex that one likes to keep to one’s self – otherwise they feel that they could blow other people’s minds away! They are capable of having strange dreams and premonitions. Sometimes someone who has a natal Uranus in the 8th could be involved in an airplane crash, not in the actual crash, but in some way be connected by either being a witness or perhaps involved in a financial way. The position (house and sign) of Uranus will describe where and how a person blazes a new trail!
The constellation of Aquarius is depicted with a man pouring out a jug of water…this jug of water is symbolic of him sharing and pouring out knowledge and cosmic energy! Acupuncture is ruled by Uranus. A person with a natal Uranus in the 8th house – has a real phobia with debt. They will usually pay cash for everything! With this same aspect, they can expect an inheritance but not until late in life, but it may be handled in a unique fashion or come from a scarcely known relative. With this same placement, a person is born with a certain sexual attractiveness.
hmmm..thats`all i could find for now. Does it help?

Well, I think that having my Vertex conjunct Uranus is definitely significant. I checked into my Draconics again and I have Mercury, Vesta and Osiris all at 29 Libra.I'm not sure, but I now have this working theory about my Vertex. Since my natal Chiron opposes it and Uranus conjuncts it and the Draconics suggest that a communicative man interested in sacred sexuality is my ideal husband...I sort of think that until I truly 'get' how to experience freedom in my relationships (as well as all other Uranian stuff) I will likely keep on this fated hampster wheel. But it's just a theory. IP: Logged |
