That's hilarious. I'm totally going to steal that one from you Lara and use it at my first opportunity, even if it doesn't apply.

"Hey Grandma! You sound sooo profound, but..."

good girl ~

I like your description of Neptune/IC. That makes a lot of sense to me. And yeah, it does depend on the aspects, but I tend to think of the IC like the soil and the rest of the contacts as the way things grow out of that root. So I think that's a good baseline.

Hi..

My 4th house...cusp is Cancer, but half of it is Leo. MArs and Mercury are conjunct there. My parents faught when thery were together. (only 4-5 years) As far as Mercury..yes..lots of intellectual activity and talking and comings and goings of all different kinds of people. My mother's poetry was published at one point. We moved alot too. I didnt like the moving at the time, but now I am grateful. MArs and Mercury both trine Neptune in 8th. My parents were hippies and smoked pot..so I had to be careful of who I had come over to the house. That was also one reason that there alot of comings and goings.

My childhood was pretty peaceful, even though I have a Sag IC. It's ruler is in Libra, conjunct with Saturn, so perhaps that's why. My moon is Libra too.

In 4th there is Neptune (daydreaming was/is one of my favorite activities and Mars in Capricorn (stubborn kid

With sag and neptune, I have to ask: did you grow up in a religious environment?

Pisces I.C, empty 4th house
My house is shambolically untidy. I always feel like I should be doing something more productive in society than making the hobs of the cooker shine.

Oh... Is THAT where that comes from? That would make so much sense, being that I've always been so confused as to why I'm the sloppiest Virgo I know. lol. But what's funny is that I'm really only sloppy in my living spaces. I will NOT leave my car or office very untidy, but my house is an organized wreck. AND, it's exactly because of that mindset you just mentioned... I try to spend as little time in my apartment as possible because I prefer to be out in the world DOING things. Being picky about how clean every little thing is is not a priority for me.

As for childhood and all that, I guess the only similarity between my Pisces IC and my family life was the fact that my parents were rather hands off types who let us explore and figure things out about the world on our own. They were emotionally caring and gave us some boundaries, but for the most part we were free to have our own opinions and thoughts. They didn't force theirs down our throats (most of the time). For that I am grateful.
